Diner Reviews
  • "I reserved for a table for 2 for brunch with my sister who came down from Dallas that day. It was part of her birthday gift, I was nervous at first since I never been to four season's brunch only dinner about 4 years ago. The menu was simple, but hard to choose from because everything sounded delicious. Two people, $64 not bad for a high-class restaurant and also great food. I got the buttermilk waffles, side of eggs, and the deluxe hot chocolate. Everything was cooked perfect. The waffles were crisp, but soft and it was just right. The hot chocolate, best thing on earth, served quite fancy. My sister and me could not stop talking about how great the food was till 2 days later. I definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone."

  • "Had been there couple of times for drinks but first time to have dinner. The food was great, reasonably priced, and the service was outstanding. Will come back!"

  • "The decor is elegant, but the cuisine simply doesn't measure up and is mediocre both for a Four Seasons and among Seattle's top restaurants. I took my wife here for a very special occasion and it soured our view of the Four Seasons. For example, the oysters appetizer (6 for $24) was good, but the price was out of line with the quality, especially in Seattle where excellent seafood abounds. For our mains, we had the copper river salmon, which was very good, and the rabbit, which was a huge disappointment - overcooked and lacking in flavor. I mentioned this to the waiter, who didn't bother to take any action in response, which was quite the poor showing for an establishment that touts its service quality as highly as the Four Seasons does."

  • "Having stayed at the FS Seattle several times over the years, I was looking forward to our meal last week. It was Sunday of the early World Cup games so the bar was busy but not full and the dining room was perhaps 1/2 full. We decided to sit at a 6 top between the DR and bar since it was by the windows and away from other tables. The floor/carpet under the table was filthy with lots of crumbs and gorp-type stuff on the floor (where was the hand sweeper??) But the waiter Micael was very pleasant and got us situated. We ordered drinks, which came and were finished and finally ordered dinner. It then took nearly 1.5 hours to get two courses and to try to order an additional bottle of wine. Never again, there is much better in Seattle."

  • "The view is nice but you need to sit more by the window to enjoy it; if I go again I ll sit on the lounge side. The good was just ok. I like the fact that they get their vegetables from organic farms! The steak was just ok, tomato and cesadid salads were very good, did not like the artichoke salad. All in all it was just ok"

  • "We went here for Father's Day brunch. My Dad really enjoyed the Buffett with the special menu choices. The staff is very friendly and accommodating."

  • "Dinner at the Art Restaurant was very good. Valet parking at the Four Seasons is convenient and complimentary with dinner. The ambiance is high quality; what you would expect at a Four Seasons hotel although the view from the dining room windows is industrial, not particularly attractive but not distractive. The carrot soup was unusual but interesting and flavorful. The salmon was prepared to perfection. Service was prompt and professional."

  • "Art staff and cusine were excellent. Took several very important business partners there and had a delightful evening."

  • "Copper River Salmon is available, I was told, only one month a year due to its migrating patterns in Alaska. What a perfectly prepared treat for my family and me! The cocktails and drinks were flawless. The service by a young man was cordial, knowledgeable, and efficient. It included two visits to the table by a manager to see how things were going. Believe me, I can be quite critical and judgmental when appropriate, but on the night we were there, everything went perfectly. My adult son and daughter agreed."

  • "It's always a nice touch when they great you by name. The service was great. The mushroom appetizer is a must. It was extremely delicious! We had the seafood with spaghetti and the scallop. Both were excellent."

  • "Our first visit and we were not disappointed. The food and service were impeccable. A fine selection of specialty cocktails to enjoy while taking in the view of the sunset over Puget Sound We selected the special for the evening, Copper River Salmon dinner which was prepared to our liking. We will definitely return on our next trip to Seattle."

  • "Another wonderful visit to Art! While my wife and I are exploring Veganism, we did not think we would be going back to Art given their wonderfully diverse menu - which includes much meat, fish and dairy. Oh we of little faith..Art, being the superb restaurant it is, has a delightful Vegan menu. We had a fantastic dinner and can't wait to return. Well done Jorge, Kerry, Jelle and the entire team!!!"

  • "My husband and I had symphony tickets and were late for our dinner reservation due to traffic. The staff were extremely gracious and accommodating and we had a delicious and efficiently prepared and served meal. Love the iconoclast red wine that is the signature wine for this restaurant!"

  • "First time at this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised, great view and the décor was refreshing, food was equally as wonderful everything we had was Fresh catch Seattle fish, wonderful presentation and taste, I had the decomposed clam chowder it was the best! try it. Server was very professional and personal. "

  • "We had a great dining experience at this restaurant. The food was great as was the service. I would certainly dine here again, also would highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "This is one of our favorite places to meet for lunch. I think what a place does for restaurant week tells you a lot about the place. The restaurant week special (3 course for $15) was excellent with a good variety of choices. The Herb-crusted cod was exceptionally good. The dining room was full, but service remained efficient and friendly, as always."

  • "We are regulars at Art but had never tried the clam chowder until this past week. It was fantastic! It is non-traditional - it arrives "deconstructed" and then the broth is added at your table. Some of the ingredients differ from the usual chowder (greens, for example), but the result is incredibly good. The pork cheeks were another great new find."
    Dined on 4/17/2014
  • "My friend and I enjoyed the 3 for $28 during Restaurant Week. We both had the arugula salad and cod - beautifully presented and delicious. I had the porfiteroles for dessert - excellent. We had the nicest waiter, very friendly and efficient (shoot - can't remember his name). Art is a wonderful restaurant and I've never been disappointed."

  • "Art is an elegant, classy restaurant with delicious food and wonderful service. The ambiance is quiet and serene, the music was soft jazz (a la Bill Evans), the service was attentive and friendly, and the food was creative and very well prepared. "

  • "Trying this during Seattle restaurant week was a good bargain - probably would save future, full-priced visits for very special occasions, as it is pricey. Service was attentive, and the food was beautifully presented and delicious. The pork cheeks were possibly the most tender pork I have ever eaten. Valet parking is normally $21 for 1-2 hours, but you can pre-pay at the restaurant for $9, making it a reasonable option. "

  • "This is a great lunch spot for those working downtown, especially if conducting business while dining. The atmosphere is modern, yet serene, light filled and surprisingly quiet, even when the restaurant was full. The staff couldn't be more attentive and efficient. We were able to get in and out during the lunch hour without feeling rushed."

  • "The great customer service and hospitality began from the minute we reached the valet service, continued on to the hostess of ART and was exceeded again by our great server. He was extremely polite, friendly and even learned a little Spanish along with us."

  • "My boyfriend surprised me with dinner at Art for our 1 year anniversary and I must say the customer service and food was above and beyond. I would highly recommend this to anyone for dinner or any special event. Includes Valet parking for dinner. And again the best service ever."

  • "Having had dinner at Art on several occasions, and been pleased with both food and service, I did not hesitate to try them for Sunday brunch. The food was fine, nothing remarkable, and the service was slow and inattentive. I expected much more based on prior experience, their reputation, location (Four Seasons) and price point. I am not sure if this was a one time anomaly, if brunch is not their thing, or is there are larger issues as play, but given my experience Sunday, I will try somewhere else for brunch, and I may think twice about returning for dinner."

  • "We have been coming here for years. We recently tried the roast chicken for the first time and it was fantastic. The latest version of the gnocchi with spring peas is fabulous. There are many other good items on the menu, but these are at the top of the list at the moment."
    Dined on 4/3/2014
  • "Only one thing to say. Overall does not get better than this place."
    Dined on 3/29/2014
  • "We go to Art fairly frequently. The new spring menu is excellent! The scallops are very nicely done and several of the newer salads and appetizers are great. Service is always friendly and efficient, and they are always willing to split plates between two people. The wine list is excellent with many interesting Northwest and other selections."

  • "The recent trend in Seattle to put excellent restaurants in downtown hotels is good and bad. Its great that downtown has better food. Its bad that some of my favorite chefs are serving their food in hotel atmospheres, which reminds me of work related travel. In others I hate the ambience. But setting aside the atmosphere the food here is awesome and very vegetarian friendly. I had the excellent arugula salad and gnocchi with mushrooms. As a vegetarian, it was a joy to read the mouth-watering menu with ample selections to choose from. Why can't the restaurant feel more like Earth and Ocean - my best example of a hotel restaurant that still appealed as a restaurant?"

  • "For fine dining in Seattle, Art Restaurant is a must. It's elegant but low key, and the food is amazing."

  • "This is an expensive, high-end restaurant in one of Seattle's most expensive hotels, the Four Seasons. We had a reservation for 2 at 6:30. I called at 5pm to see if we could move our time up to 6pm. I was told it wasn't possible. We arrived at 6:15 and were told to wait in the lobby until our table was ready. At 6:30, we were ushered into a half-empty dining room and seated one table over from a family of five, including a crying baby and a loud, squirming toddler. NOTE: I am a mother. I like kids. I often took my little one out to dine, but not at a fine dining$$$$ high-end restaurant. I felt bad for the kids, bad for the patrons, and annoyed at the parents.... But the real issue for me was the empty room and us left waiting in the lobby"

  • "I have eaten at ART quite a number of times, both at lunch and at dinner. The food ranges from good to excellent, but too often lately, it is just good when it should be better. Menu items are sometimes interesting and inventive, sometimes just well-made but without anything special about them. We talked over dinner about how much better the Georgian Room was at the Old Four Seasons (and still is, for that matter). In my experience the food there is uniformly excellent."
