I like to have lunch at ART during restaurant week. The place is so comfy and cozy, though I was told they will be remodeling in the near future. I hope it will not changed too much, because I like it just as it is. As with some other restaurants, dessert WAS included on the restaurant week lunch menu, although dessert has been "officially" dropped from the RW lunch menu (I guess to keep the lunches at $15). I appreciated those establishments, such as ART, who still treated us to dessert. Service, from hostesses to wait staff, is attentive--they really make you feel welcomed. Newspapers to read while you wait is another nice touch.

I'm not the first one to point out their excellent service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a friendly smile and my waiter James was incredible. I asked him to explain how their douglas fir sorbet tastes and he immediately offered to give us a sample...it was generous amount. I only ordered the beet salad offered on their Restaurant Week Menu. My friend ordered all three courses and gave me a taste. Although the food was good, it wasn't impressive when considering their usual prices. However, again, the service was great.

We came here during Seattle Restaurant Week and ordered off the 3 courses for $30 menu. The food was amazing. They went all out for this special menu. Beautiful presentation and portions were good sized. You can order any wine by the glass for $12. Which is a lot but less than normal prices believe it or not. This is not somewhere to come if you are poor. We had a happy hour drink in the bar before dinner. Good drinks too. Nice view from both the bar and the restaurant out to the Sound and the Wheel. I would come back when I'm feeling flush! BTW. Service was friendly and very professional.

The food was excellent and service was good but the vibe seemed really weird for a Four Seasons hotel restaurant. A little on the cheesy side with changing light colors at the bar/restaurant. It felt like we were dining in a dated club instead of a Four Seasons restaurant. Expected more given my past experiences at other Four Seasons hotels/restaurants.

We have dine at ART several times prior to attending a concert. Perhaps it was our choices, but my salmon was rather bland in spite of a coating of Indian spices that attempted to give the fish some interest (and flavor). My wife's scallops were good, but not the best. However, overall ART is a restaurant we enjoy very much and recommend it highly even though this one time it fell a little short of expectations in the food category.

We had an excellent experience at Art for dinner this week. Both of our servers were friendly, knowledgeable and there when we needed them. We both had salads for starters that were surprisingly large and delicious, followed by the truly outstanding black cod. My husband can take fish or leave it but he loved this dish. The flavor is so rich and the fish was cooked perfectly. We then had the cheese course from the cheese buffet. Wow! I could have made my dinner from this with a glass of wine. There is a great variety of cheeses, nuts, dried fruit, salami and crackers. This is something to not miss. Our desserts were very good but not as outstanding as the rest of the meal. Perhaps we were just too full by then.

Dinner for two. Didn't feel very cool at first since it was so quiet and there wasn't anyone else under 45 in there. But once the sky got dark and the room filled up, we saw how nice the room was, with great lighting, and the lights across the Sound added to the ambience. The crowd felt sophisticated. Not young, but sophisticated, and it was like a fresh breeze to be able to talk to my date without shouting across a table for once. The service seemed like they were aiming for top-notch, but the delivery and attention to detail was merely okay. The menu was not exciting, and slightly overpriced, considering the dishes themselves were good, but unspectacular. If I go back, it will be for something more casual in the lounge.

It seems that service is not a priority at Art any more. One of our guests was drinking wine by the glass and had the wrong wine added to her glass, the side dishes ordered for the table were never brought to us, when filling water glasses, an appetizer plate got wet (it happens) the plate was promptly taken away, but never replaced. These small issues add up. I expected more based on prior visits, their reputation, location (Four Seasons) and price point. The final issue, while not the restaurants fault, was part of the dining experience; we waited more than 20 minutes for the valet to bring our car around. I want to like Art, the food was good, the location, ambiance and view are fantastic. But they need to get their service together.

I went to Art Restaurant with fairly high expectations considering it's affiliation with Four Seasons. We found our food (both the main and the side dish) quite "bland" and fairly tasteless. (In fact we had to send back the Mac N Cheese side to be re-done). Then they had this Douglas Fir Sorbet (strange for the sake of being strange)?? As the name suggests, it actually tasted like Furniture polish or something close to that......very weird. Even the Caesar Salad was unevenly chopped and unevenly blended. Best part of the meal was the 2011 bottle of Caymus Cabernet.............thank goodness for nice wines! Won't be back anytime soon!

I reserved for a table for 2 for brunch with my sister who came down from Dallas that day. It was part of her birthday gift, I was nervous at first since I never been to four season's brunch only dinner about 4 years ago. The menu was simple, but hard to choose from because everything sounded delicious. Two people, $64 not bad for a high-class restaurant and also great food. I got the buttermilk waffles, side of eggs, and the deluxe hot chocolate. Everything was cooked perfect. The waffles were crisp, but soft and it was just right. The hot chocolate, best thing on earth, served quite fancy. My sister and me could not stop talking about how great the food was till 2 days later. I definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

The decor is elegant, but the cuisine simply doesn't measure up and is mediocre both for a Four Seasons and among Seattle's top restaurants. I took my wife here for a very special occasion and it soured our view of the Four Seasons. For example, the oysters appetizer (6 for $24) was good, but the price was out of line with the quality, especially in Seattle where excellent seafood abounds. For our mains, we had the copper river salmon, which was very good, and the rabbit, which was a huge disappointment - overcooked and lacking in flavor. I mentioned this to the waiter, who didn't bother to take any action in response, which was quite the poor showing for an establishment that touts its service quality as highly as the Four Seasons does.

Having stayed at the FS Seattle several times over the years, I was looking forward to our meal last week. It was Sunday of the early World Cup games so the bar was busy but not full and the dining room was perhaps 1/2 full. We decided to sit at a 6 top between the DR and bar since it was by the windows and away from other tables. The floor/carpet under the table was filthy with lots of crumbs and gorp-type stuff on the floor (where was the hand sweeper??) But the waiter Micael was very pleasant and got us situated. We ordered drinks, which came and were finished and finally ordered dinner. It then took nearly 1.5 hours to get two courses and to try to order an additional bottle of wine. Never again, there is much better in Seattle.

The view is nice but you need to sit more by the window to enjoy it; if I go again I ll sit on the lounge side. The good was just ok. I like the fact that they get their vegetables from organic farms! The steak was just ok, tomato and cesadid salads were very good, did not like the artichoke salad. All in all it was just ok
