Diner Reviews
  • "Arroyo Vino has a menu that is constantly evolving. It is housed in a wine shop, so you can partake of their suggested wines or venture into the store where you can make your own selection. The chef is very creative and the menu is rather varied. There are numerous small plates as well as larger portions for sharing. Save room for dessert! The service has always been professional, and the servers are quite knowledgeable about wine. The noise level and the chairs are the only drawbacks."

  • "Love Arroyo Vino. Food is excellent and the setting is spare but warm. I will return often. Great wines too at reasonable mark-up. Service could be just a bit better. Takes quite a while between courses."

  • "We live in Santa Fe so frequent the many restaurants in town but Arroyo Vino was well worth the trip. We will be back and will probably come home with more wine from the affordable wine selection (again)."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed the food and wine. It was our anniversary and so we asked for a corner table. The host/hostess got us a corner table and made sure that no one else was seated next to us throughout our dinner. The food was delicious; the portions, although small, were the perfect size - i.e. no wastage - and we were sated. The wines are top rated and barely priced over retail price - not the 2x to 3x that typical restaurants charge. Worth going back - and we will!"

  • "Delicious, often- changing menu, huge wine selection (off the menu or from the adjacent wine store it's basically just a 20% corkage fee), friendly staff, jolly."

  • "The food at Arroyo Vino is some of the best in town, but the atmosphere and service isn't quite up to that level. Not really bad at all, but the restaurant would benefit from a cozier atmosphere, some noise dampeners on the floor or walls and a little more attentive service from the wait staff. Because of the casual nature of the dining area, it is also a little loud and hard to hear others in your party. All in all, a wonderful experience that I will look forward to repeating."

  • "This is a restaurant that seems to know "what it wants to be" and accomplishes that with wonderful food, service and ambiance -- very "today"; intimate; great wine selections. Presentation of food outstanding. Among the five in our group, we ordered a wide variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts -- everyone was extremely pleased. Our only compliant was that the chairs were not comfortable and we were told by management that those are being replaced. We live in the neighborhood and we will be going back frequently."

  • "I went with friends and found the small plates perfect for sharing - although I wanted to keep a few just for myself. The food was fantastic and I was glad to see Chef Mark Connell back in the kitchen. I have always been a big fan of his cooking. Highly recommend this place!"

  • "Great concept with the small and medium plates. The food was wonderful, every dish showed the chef's care. The wine selections from the attached shop were some of the best in Santa Fe. One of the best dining experiences in Santa Fe."

  • "We were seated late by 45 mins, with little apology or explanation. The menu choices were excellent; plenty for meat, fowl, fish and veggie lovers. The wine selection was incredible and fairly priced; given the long delay we had plenty of time to choose. All items on the menu were expensive. Even bread with olive oil cost $5! Our service was extremely slow but when the food did come it was exquisite and artistically presented. The portions were tiny; a "plate" came with approximately 1 cup of food including vegetables, starch and protein. After three courses comprising bread, salad, entree and dessert we were left hungry - rare for us. Summary: 3 hours; $200 for two, including wine; hungry; frustrated. We ate when we got home!"

  • "Fun neighborhood restaurant. Tables close together but we felt we could have a private conversation. Always good choices of small servings. Something new each time I go. Excellent wine menu."

  • "This restaurant is worth the short drive from Santa Fe to Las Campanas, about 6 miles. The restaurant itself is attached to a very well stocked winestore, so naturally, the wine list is special. Even better, you can pick any wine and have it with dinner for a markup of $20. The wine prices are reasonable, so that's a great deal. Originally, Arroyo Vino served only "bites," giving it the feel of a tapas restaurant. Now they've added full plates. On our visit, we had an exceptional green lentil soup, a very savory fish dish, and a delicious housemade pappardella with lamb Bolognese sauce. Everything was exceptional, packed with flavor but clean and healthy. We're lucky enough to live nearby, and I am certain we'll be visiting again soon."

  • "This is simply a gem. It's by far more pleasant than all the 'high end' restaurants in Santa Fe. It's not pretentious and has always provided a wonderful selection of bites and courses with the consistency of high quality food. Even nicer, you can actually have a conversation at your table with your dining partners and hear everyone at your table. Wait staff is great as well. I'd pick this spot time and time again"

  • "Mark is a genius, the menu inventive, we sampled several dishes - all divine. The service was excellent and to top it all off getting to choose your wine from the adjacent wine store is a plus."
