Diner Reviews
  • "We dined Saturday night with 2 other couples. Our reservation was for 7PM, the host allowed us to indulge in a drink at the bar and then moved us to our seat. We had a great round banquet booth that accomodated us all and was private and gave us all the opportunity to see one another which was enjoyable. Everyone was engaged in coversation the entire night. The appetizers and entrees were incredible. We love Freebird Chicken and were so excited to see that you have it on your menu. Service was outstanding. Lots of attention to detail. We had a great time and the prices are extremely reasonable. A great night out. Would recommend and plan on returning again very soon."

  • "We were going to see a show at the Capitol and let our waiter know this upon sitting down for dinner. The service was faster than expected and his advice on ordering was spot on. We ordered many apps and pizzas. The wine was great and somewhat affordable. Great choice two weekends in a row!"

  • "They have really good pizza however the remaining menu could be a little more varied. They have one chicken dish and a steak. My friend doesn't eat fish, veal or seafood. So pasta was the only option. Maybe eggplant or chicken parm could be added to menu."

  • "Arrosto is a nice restaurant, food and service are good."

  • "It's not cheap by any stretch but worth the price. The service can range from excellent to lackluster at times. I have been there several times over the past few years and enjoyed my visits. When the restaurant is busy, the service can suffer. One tip: do not go to the bar. The bartenders are not good people. Last time I Was there, the bartender assumed a $4 tip of my bill. My bill was $16 which I paid for with a $20. The bartender made change and proceeded to deposit the $4 difference into his tip jar. Had I not been rushing to get to my table, I would have made an effort to have a conversation with him on how that practice might come back to haunt him. Save your money, order drinks from your waiter at the table."

  • "Excellent specials to supplement the menus. Server was knowledgeable and answered questions regarding preparation as well as providing suggestions. Manager/owner-manager (?) who was walking the floor saw us "searching for someone" and immediately came over to assist....attentive and personable. Everyone should depart this restaurant "quite more than satisfied!"."

  • "While the food and service were good, the loud group in the bar area made it almost impossible to hold a conversation. The hostess said it was planned that way. The group was having a reception in the bar and then heading to a private room for dinner. We asked to be seated on the other side of the restaurant to be as far away from the noise as possible and were told that wasn't possible. It was left empty the whole night. We won't be back."

  • "Had a very enjoyable dinner with friends. The menu makes it possible to go all out or enjoy a lighter bite. Liked the open kitchen for the grilling of meats and the making of pizzas. We will be back."

  • "We were in for my wife's birthday and had a great time. There was a small wait at the bar which on a busy Saturday is to be expected. Then we were seated in the private room. I'm. It sure if that was on purpose or because you were full. In either case it worked out wonderfully. The noise level was much lower and the space let us all be conversant and relaxed. The service was also very good. Thank you so much."

  • "Really enjoyed our first time here. From the friendly greeting at the door to our server, Marcello, (& all the waitstaff) service was perfect. I love a good bread basket, & Arrosto's included a variety. I never miss a chance to order grilled octopus when it's on a menu & this generous version was great! The pasta with sausage & broccoli rabe was a twist on a classic, & the shell steak rivaled any I've had before. Will definitely return!"

  • "it was very busy nd the food was very average. The salmon had very little flavor and the steak was very chewy. We had to look for our waiter several times"

  • "This restaurant was recommended to my boyfriend and I from multiple people. We finally decided to try it on Valentine's Day and it was wonderful. To start, we had the arancini (rice balls) and they were delicious. I had the butternut squash ravioli and my boyfriend had the pappardelle with lamb ragu. We enjoyed both of them very much. Our favorite part was of course the dessert. We shared the chocolate Nutella budino. It had marshmallow and hazelnut brittle inside. That was so delicious. The restaurant itself is much bigger than I expected and it had a good sized parking lot. It seems like a very popular restaurant with a great ambience. We will definitely return to Arrosto!"

  • "The food was outstanding. My steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. The mushroom soup was smooth and flavorful. Everyone in the party enjoyed their meals. The decor was rustic and comfortable with just the right lighting. Wet will definitely go back and enjoy it again. Great service and management as well. Very friendly, helpful and inviting."

  • "We came from northern New Jersey and really impressed with our dining experience. We met clients there and loved every minute of the experience. The bar was great. Surprised it wasn't packed but it was more room for us. Super friendly people and staff. The appetizers so much, especially the pizzas. A pizza with an egg on it....a must order!!! The entrees were very generous and really have an American menu fit for all different foodies. Desserts were really yummy. We ordered every dessert on the menu and we're not disappointed. Staff was on top of our table and never not once were all our needs met. The only unfortunate mishap of the night! Couldn't recall the delicious, slightly chilled, red wine that we had at our table :("

  • "I've been to Arrosto twice now and my experience has been consistent. It's owned by the same company that owns Carmine's in NYC I hesitated to try it for that reason, but was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is still reminiscent of a chain restaurant and the food, in my opinion, is hit or miss. The pizzas are quite good and the different versions are interesting departures from what one would normally expect. The pastas (at least those I've tried) are mass market and don't taste especially fresh. The tomato based sauces I've tried (two different ones) were watery and lacking in any real flavor and the pastas were overcooked. Service at the table was friendly but a bit slow. Greeting at the front is tepid, borderline rude."

  • "Our waiter suggested a house red which paired perfectly with the ricotta and honey starter. My pasta bolognese was the best I ever had and my husband enjoyed his lamb chops and brussels sprouts. We had the tiramisu and it was a great surprise from the talented pastry chef. We will certainly be returning very soon."

  • "My husband and I have been here several times before. We were looking forward to a great meal and we were not disappointed. Both the Tagliatelle Pasta with Bolognese Sauce and the Grilled Lamb Chops with Root Vegetable Caponata were both excellent and ample. The lamb chops were grilled perfectly. Service was great as always."

  • "We went for New Years Eve, the special menu was OK, but we ordered off the menu. The beet salad, polenta fries, clams and octopus salad were great. The steak and pork chop were delicious and the pastas are always good. We had a few special request and the kitchen was very accommodating."

  • "A family gathering at a wonderful place! Excellent food, service and ambiance. I could not have chosen a better place for such a special meal. Comfortable atmosphere, not rushed, fine service, extensive wine list and the BEST pizzas I have ever had. I thought about how very good the meal was throughout the next day and recommended it to two other friends."

  • "We were about to be seated in a very noisy section when the lovely lady saw our faces and decided to move us to a quiet table by the window. Food was good, not outstanding. Service was so-so, but it was the holidays and they were very busy, so I understand."

  • "Although this is a fairly new Restaurant, the food and ambience is worth going for. Unfortunately, the wait service diesnt seem very experienced which should be worrisome for the restaurant. The owner( Hal?) is an absolute gem , so i personally hope he takes tge critique about the servers to heart."
