Arno RistoranteEko Eko our waiter was veryEko Eko our waiter was very good. Food was great. Only negative was service was very quick, total meal time with appys was less than an hour. We were not rushed to leave the table just wished the food service was slower.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMService, Food Outstanding.Service, Food Outstanding. Our waiter "Desi" Excellent as was the entire staff.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMArno was a pleasant diningArno was a pleasant dining experience. My swordfish pasta special was delicious. My husband's Grouper was a little lackluster. We also had a mozzarella caprese equivalent appetizer and it was decent, although not outstanding. The ricotta cheesecake for dessert was decent as well, but not particularly memorable. All in all, a decent dining experience. We wouldn't have come here without a Resturant.com coupon as the tab was a little steep, especially with the wine. However, I should mention that our waiter was one of the best ones I've ever had. He really made our dining experience above average. Quite the personality.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMMy trip into the city beganMy trip into the city began with lunch at Arno's. My daughter & I were welcomed like family! The wine recommendation was spot on. Food is terrific (veal saltimbucca!) with thoughtful presentation. And the staff is right there but not overwhelming. We felt like movie stars!4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the BestI have been going to Arno for years. Although some may not consider it as "hip" or "trendy" (two things you cannot eat) as some other NYC Italian restaurants, Arno is to my mind one of the best in the city. The ambience is real. The food is always great. The service is friendly and the waiters are very knowledgeable and helpful. One of the members of my party asked for one of the specials to be prepared with different ingredients and it was done without hesitation -- and perfectly.
I have never had a bad meal at Arno and I don't expect that I ever will. Put this place on your short list. You won't be disappointed.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful, Classic ItalianWonderful, Classic Italian food in theater district.
We really enjoyed our meal prior to 8 PM curtain.
Enthusiastically recommend.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner was excellent and myDinner was excellent and my friends and I were very satisfied.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMNever DisappointedThis is the fourth year in a row we have visited Arno while in NYC. The food is wonderful and comforting, the ambiance is cozy, and we love our waiter, Desi. He has waited on us each time and is very knowledgable of the menu and gives wonderful suggestions. And he sings! Makes us girls feel very special. We also appreciate their participation in Restaurant.com because it allows us to enjoy dinner on a budget.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMA fabulous findWent for lunch because of the location and was very pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, the service and most especially the food. Our dishes tasted as delicious as they smelled. Our only disappointment is that we didn't have the time or the room to try anything from the beautiful looking desert cart, but we will when we return next time.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had eaten here many yearsWe had eaten here many years ago and then were unable to re-find it. Thankfully that changed recently and we were able to get back there on our recent trip to the Big Apple. As expected, it was great.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMHadn't been in several years,Hadn't been in several years, but wasn't disappointed. Decor has changed for the better, and the Italian food is just as good. Separation of the dining room from the bar makes for an enjoyable experience for all concerned. Wait staff is very attentive without being intrusive; their suggestions are straight-forward and honest.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFresh, Fresh, FreshGreat place, fresh food, knowledgeable staff and a very comfortable environment.
Looking for another reason to get back there.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the only decent restaurantsOne of the only decent restaurants in the Garment District! We were very pleased with our meals and found the service to be attentive and amiable.3/5/2013 12:00:00 AMA neighborhood gem. Not manyA neighborhood gem. Not many good restaurants in the fashion district; Is always filled with 'regulars'. Glad I was told about this a few years ago; I go there every time I am in NY. Excellent shrimp cocktail, pasta and veal dishes.1/15/2013 12:00:00 AMPicked this restaurant basedPicked this restaurant based on its location (it was very near the theatre where we saw a Saturday matinee) and the ratings of my fellow Open Table diners. Kudos to my fellow Open Tablers--the reviews were mostly great and we concur with all of them! The ambiance was old school NY--flattering lighting, nice table settings and waiters dressed in tuxedo jackets. The service was terrific and unhurried (they did ask us if we had a curtain after we sat down and when we told them we did not and were there to enjoy--they made the meal not hurried). We were a large group of 12 but all the dishes arrived at the same time and there was not a person who did not enjoy their meal. Will definitely return!11/23/2012 12:00:00 AM
