Diner Reviews
  • "Last Friday evening enjoyed the deck at Arnie's. Absolutely love it this time of year. Great view and ambiance, and the silver salmon was incredible. Paired with a very nice Pinot Noir. Service was very good and they do not mind if you take your time."

  • "We brought local friends from north to meet halfway. This is a restaurant that specializes in local flavor, but has deep specialties. The staff was extremely helpful and earned our appreciation. If we wanted to go local the menu supported it, but it also had upper end features. We brought a surprise 18 month old guest and were presented with an appropriate location, +++toys and attention. Surprise yourself with a view of the Desolation sound, sunset and food. This is obviously a local hangout ensuring their long term survivability but with upper end food that will attract the occasional food browser looking for a supreme Puget Sound experience."

  • " Perfect lunch, each 6 of us had something different all looked beautiful and tasted great. Special requests graciously accepted. Very, very nice."

  • "My husband and I walked in at around 11:30 on a Sunday morning and we were led to a table with a view of the parking lot. The ENTIRE restaurant was practically empty except for the tables around the windows. We didn't want a table by the window as we were walk-ins, just one of the 4-top tables with a view of the water to see the beautiful scenery. I pointed out a 4-top table that would work for us and the hostess was obviously offended that we did not want to look at the parking lot on a gorgeous Sunday morning and led us to another table on another level, WHERE THE SAME HOSTESS PROCEEDED TO SEAT ALL THE FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN DIRECTLY BY OUR TABLE. We did not appreciate this as we go to Arnie's about 2 to 3 times per month!"

  • "The service was great. The food was wonderful. Love going to Arnies for special occasions or just because. They serve the best seafood out there. They care about each customer as if you were the only people in the resturaunt. Highly recommend Arnies to everyone"

  • "The Mukilteo Arnie's sits unassumingly just above the parking/waiting lot for the ferry traffic to Bainbridge. From the looks, it might have been built in the 70's. We checked in with a pleasant-enough hostess, and were seated within minutes at a window table overlooking the bay and ferry operations. Our waitress was gracious and efficient, without rushing us. We ordered cocktails, then the ahi poke, which was outta this world good! For dinner, wife had the king salmon, and I had the ling cod. Both were excellent. When we got to choosing a wine to go with them, and we asked for advice between a couple, our waitress brought out two samples each (2 whites for me, 2 reds for the wife). That was cool! Well done once again, Team Arnie's."

  • "This is absolutely the best place in the Pacific Northwest! The food, the service and the ambience are all top notch - it's the full package in one place."

  • "LING COD WAS DELICIOUS AND THE WAITRESS WAS AWESOME"

  • "We took advantage of the early dining specials on a pleasant Sunday June evening. Good food! Attentive service! Nice view! And if you're a rail fan ( as is my husband), excellent opportunities for train spotting."

  • "You can always count on Arnies to deliver delicious and beautifully plated food. They don't skimp on the drinks and the wine list is fantastic. The decor is dated but the views make you forget about that quickly."

  • "Went to Arnie's for Sunday Brunch. It was our first visit to this restaurant and was very pleased with the quality of the food. Also pleased with the little extras during the meal; complimentary cinnamon rolls and complementary orange juice or champagne, nice touch. Definitely would go back again."

  • "Arrived early, hostess worked to honor request for a view table. Higher end restaurant but well behaved children fit in. Excellent copper river salmon and wait staff was attentive."

  • "The view and atmosphere are the best part of this dining experience for my birthday. My scallops were cooked nicely, but came with a poached pear that was so hard it was inedible, overlooked green beans and a risotto that lacked interest. Even the dessert tasted like it came from the QFC bakery rather than a pastry chef. Save your money for a better meal and enjoy the view from the deck at happy hour."

  • "We had the copper river salmon and it was delicious, cooked to perfection. Our view was perfect...watched the Mukilteo/Whidbey ferry come in. Our server was fantastic, she was warm and just the right amount of attentive!"

  • "I've been dining at Arnie's for years and have always liked their menu and quality of food. However, I've seen a recent decline in food quality and preparation. For example, the fish & chips has become mostly chips and very small portions of cod, and the chips tasted stale. The seafood salads have become smaller and less fresh tasting as well. Even the bread servings (delicious sourdough) have become meager. Please bring the quality/quantity back to old standards, Arnie's!"

  • "Wonderful view of ferry, Whidbey Island and the water. Gorgeous place to watch a sunset."

  • "Arnie's is a nice-dining standby in scenic little Mukilteo, terminus of the ferry to Whidbey Island. My cousin and I went there for a birthday lunch, which I specified on my Open Table reservation, and were greeted with "Happy Birthday!" and an invitation to take up my requested window-side table. The service was excellent; food selections included healthy options, and they happily swapped out a rice side dish for a serving of delicious asparagus. Top marks all around!"

  • "We had a great group lunch (14 people) at Arnie's in Mukilteo. They had our table ready and waiting, two awesome and attentive servers. The view is always spectacular and a warm inviting atmosphere. The food was amazing as always. Thank you for a great dining experience."

  • "Service was good. Food was really, really bad. Strawberry daiquiri was the worst I have ever tasted. Got one sip and had to spit it out right away. Bread was extremely sour. The seafood platter was mostly breading to make the food looks big. Very little food for the price."

  • "Service and food were great and we had good time! Price was right too. We hadn't been here in years but will be back soon!"

  • "This restaurant has everything. The service was prompt and attentive throughout our meal. The food was excellent - perfectly prepared, nicely presented, and it reached our table still hot. The view of the sound and mountains is spectacular."

  • "Arnie's has something for everyone and you can always plan on having a tasty dinner. Food is fresh and well prepared, and plate presentation is usually appealing. Their scallops and cod dishes are stand-outs, as well as the entree salads."

  • "Crab dip was phenominal. Ginger salad was a special surprise for the tastebuds."

  • "This evening was the celebration of my wife and my 31st year since we met and 30th year since our engagement. Arnie's did not fail us! Our dinners were, as usual, very well prepared. The champagne sauce with my wife's grilled scallops was light and delicate, and her risotto was creamy. The fresh asparagus was cooked perfectly, not over done, which is difficult. The salmon with my seafood grill was better than I can grill at home and that's saying something."

  • "Slow service and food didn't taste good. We ate at Ivar's the night before which was so much better."
    Dined on 6/13/2014
  • "Popular location Friday nights and weekenda, holidays. Reservations recommended for those times. Food well prpared and tasty. Limited wine list but good selections. View includes ferry terminal and railroad tracks as well as Whidbey Island, scenic but not very romantic. All things considered our party of three was well pleased by our visit."

  • "We are regulars at Arnies, knowing we'll get good food and service every time. They excel at seafood, from their creamy bisque to their mixed seafood salad to the fresh catch of the season. They have managed to keep several long-time employees, so it's nice to be greeted and served by familiar faces who make sure we're given good service. It also suggests they're good to their staff, which is a plus in my book."

  • "The reservation process was so easy! I even had to adjust the time of the reservation and that turned out to be just as easy. The service was very good. Beautiful water views! Almost everything tasted fantastic. One person complained their clams tasted fishy, but my clams and another person's were perfect. The crab cakes and calamari were incredible. We will definitely be going back. "

  • "We had a wonderful dinner at Arnies. It was a special occasion, our wedding anniversary, so a special dinner for us. It was a bit more in cost than we usually spend, but well worth it. The food was fantastic, with beautiful presentations. Copper River Salmon was wonderful, and the steak and prawns were great."

  • "We had great service and food to celebrate a couple of joyours happenings. We enjoyed the view of the Salish Sea and the trains passing by. We have enjoyed the Arnie's dining experience for many occassions and were not disappointed with this one."

  • "We really enjoyed our dining experience at Arnies. The view was great and the food was delicious! We ate entirely too much there! The cobbler is amazing! Definitely save room for it!"

  • "We had the steamed manilla clams to start, and the portion size was not as large as before - but the clams were good. Then we had some salads which were pretty good. We then shared a plate of the Copper river Salmon, which was also very good tasting, but very thin - about 4, maybe 5 ounces total (or around 2 ounces each). For $31, I would have expected at least an 8 ounce portion; especially since that was the size we had gotten in the past with the pit roasted salmon which is around $23. Still, overall a very good experience and excellent service. Out waitress, though young, definitely went out of her way to make sure everything was good. "

  • "Arnies is a favorite and offers the best Caesar salad in Snohomish County. We go back often and are always pleased with the food, service and view of the ferries coming and going from the Mukilteo landing."
