Diner Reviews
  • "Although our server admitted he wasn't sure which wine went better with fish he left and came back with an immediate answer. Our waiter was very attentive. We were also treated to a dessert, not sure if it was because we were celebrating our anniversary our because our waiter messed up our order. I think our waiter, although very friendly and attentive was new. He was not as descriptive with the menu choices as we overheard other waitresses tell their guests. Soufflé was outstanding as was the bread!"

  • "The server did not go over choices. He was ok but in listening to the neighbor table server, it was different. Ours was courteous but not to informative."

  • "If you've been to Arnie Morton's Steakhouse before you know what to expect. It's a reliable steak house. We were there on a Saturday night and were seated quickly and not pressured to leave as we lingered over coffee and dessert. When I made the reservation I mentioned we were celebrating a birthday and they added a special touch. A Happy Birthday Mitchell menu for the 29th of March and a delicious dessert. Gourmet, drop dead food? No, but they do a good job."

  • "March 28th was our second experience at Morton's and we were not disappointed. Great food, wonderful staff, very pleasant experience."

  • "Took my wife to Mortons for her birthday. Overall it was good but for me the experince and food is not enough to make it a regular dining experience based on the price. Having said that, for the amount of money spent I was disappointed about a few things. The skin of the baked potato was tough. The horse radish was not spicy at all. They took a free picture for a keepsake but it was blury. I am not a food snob but for that price I expect more."

  • "What makes this restaurant the best is the staff. Great customer service. Everyone makes you feel special. To top it off the food is the best. Thx to Morton's Woodland Hills location for making our night special."

  • "Our family really en joyed the food and the very attentive and courteous service. We had two birthdays at our table, my sister-in-law and her granddaughter. both enjoyed delicious food and warm hospitality. We also had a bonus picture as a remembrance of the occasion. We would definitely have a family dinner at Mortans again."

  • "Once again Mortons made our special occasion memorable! The service of our long-time favorite waiter David, along with Roland, and manager Enrique was exceptional. We were placed in a private board room so that we could talk and visit. This wasn't an easy party---nine people, two who are in wheelchairs---but the Mortons staff were able to meet all of our needs and requests."

  • "We came 5 min earlier than your reservation and waited more than 30 min to be seated at a small table (we did a special request for booth). Service was very good, except for hostess."

  • "Expensive, but well worth it. Everything we wanted - food or information - was provided promptly and graciously. Excellent service by Jessica. Will definitely return!"

  • "Morton's is in a class by itself! The service was impeccable, the meal superb! The filet and lobster tail plate was perfect, and the Cajun ribeye was amazing."

  • "Starting on a positive note, there were several staff who were extremely friendly and helpful on this busy Valentine's night. Our server was very pleasant as was the gentleman who served our bottles of wine. However, all the niceties from the servers couldn't mask the downsides. First was the gridlock at the host station; it took a few minutes for any staff to even acknowledge me when we first arrived. We were seated close to a half hour after our reservation time. Once seated, waiter dialogue/presentation was great, but hampered by slow food delivery. Once the food did arrive, its quality was subpar; my macaroni/bacon was dry and lacking in flavor. The shrimp from my evening special was also dry and without flavor."

  • "We have eaten at "Morton's" for years in various locations across the U.S. And have always had great experiences so we gave this restaurant three tries, thinking it was just an off night, due to a special holiday, or poor service etc. But in our opinion , this particular restaurant is on a downward spiral, the food quality seems to be getting worse, the service mediocre and just not up to high end steakhouse quality."

  • "It was Valentine's day, so there was a lot of delay. My reservation was for 7:30. I didnt get sat until close to 8, and I didnt get to eat my entree until after 9pm. Other than that, the service was great."

  • "Starters: Bread was a bit dry, and my wife thought it was too heavy on the onion. My wife's bib salad and my lobster bisque were exceptional. Entree: My wife complimented her filet mignon, though I rank my filet mignon & lobster both as average. I thought our filet mignon (I tasted hers) lacked flavor, while adequately, though not exceptionally tender (filet mignon's are known for being among the most tender cuts). Side Dish: My wife and I split a side of broccoli, which is designed for two. We both enjoyed the broccli, and rank it as above average (good) Dessert: lava/hot fudge cake was exceptional, though small in portion. Overall Ambience: inviting and romantic setting, though a little louder than desired."

  • "The atmosphere was romantic. Great for Special Occasion(s). Pricey. In general very good food. Service was on the slow side.Took about 15 minutes to get our wine after ordering. Our server didn't make any recommendations on how to order. The Filets Mignons were very good, sides of Horseradish Mashed Potatos and Lyonaise Potatos were very good and a good portion that could have been shared. Very disappointed with the Escargot. No garlic and very little butter. I think this was an over-sight since the other dishes were prepared properly. The dipping puffs were very good. I'm upset with myself for not sending them back, but with service being slow I didn't want to risk it. I would give it another try."

  • "Food was great but service was bad. It's one thing to be left to enjoy a meal but another to be ignored by your waiter/waitress and worse is to have him/her double, triple check whether you really want you're ordering. Not what I'd expect from Morton's, very disappointed."

  • "Wonderfully cooked and very tender filet, especially the porcini crusted bone-in filet"

  • "It was my first time here and my steak melted like butter in my mouth. It was so delicious :) The service was excellent. Its a little pricey as all steakhouses are, but it is worth it."

  • "Morton's can always be counted upon to provide its guests with a delicious and memorable dining experience. This birthday dinner for my husband was another one of those memories (which was recorded with a card and a photo of us to mark the evening). The food was exceptional and the wine list extensive. I had forgotten my reading glasses; no problem, a tray of glasses was provided me in varying strengths to help me focus on the menu. I recommend Morton'st to everyone when looking for a romantic evening, to mark a celebratory occasion or just to have an excellent dinner."

  • "Great bar scene and extremely friendly servers ready to be at your beckon call. Booth is dining room is perfect for quiet romantic couple and generally quiet throughout the not too large dining room. Bacon steak the most marvelous and exciting food item I have been offered anywhere, its pure genius. Excellent bread and perfect french onion soup for starters; Lovely salads and ICE COLD BEER. My dinner companion loves her meat well done and it was tasty, juicy and full of flavor. The giant baked potato with butter an excellent accompaniment to a most memorable evening. I have been there twice in the last few weeks, a real find."

  • "We keep giving Morton's second chances because their food is so good, much better than Ruth Chris - but we are inevitably disappointed in something. Used to be better. This year, the noise level was so bad we could not hear each other thru normal dinner conversation. The table behind us had 3 unruly children who ran around chasing balloons and screaming. Not one staff member asked the parents to reign in their children and the parents really didn't care. Ruined our dinner. We finally turned around and said something. Stay away from the bacon steaks. Too thick to cook thru. Wild mushrooms too limp. Be sure to ask for real butter with delicious onion loaf."

  • "It was my first time at this restaurant, but after my very pleasant experience, I know it will not be the last one. I will visit Arnie Morton's at Woodland Hills again for sure. 5* for everything."

  • "The food was excellent, but this place is very expensive. The sea bass was $45, and really no better than the $28 sea bass at PF Changs. I didn't feel the ambiance made it special. This is an everyday restaurant for well to do people who don't want to dine with the riff raff I guess."

  • "Very nice service, cocktail was delicious (I had the Red Velvet something or other with Prosecco), nice atmosphere, good food. I would probably pick a different place next time because I thought the food was good, not great. I'd recommend it if you wanted someone to be impressed with the atmosphere and feel like they were getting a special dinner, but if you are really in to going to geta good steak (or other fine dining entree), pick another place."

  • "Came here for our anniversary. Wonderful food and service."

  • "I was very underwhelmed by the service and the steak at this very expensive restaurant. The ribeye I had was so fatty that it probably should have been 20 dollars and not 47 dollars. And for 12 dollars i though they would give you enough mashed potatos for 4 bit there was barely enough for 2. What is up with this place? Never again...potatos do not cost that much in real life. My coworker and I were so so so disapointed with the steak that it was upsetting. I have cooked my own boneless ribeyes that taste 10 times better than the one we had at Morton's, there was just not much flavor and it was fatty. Won't be back."

  • "Food was, as usual, excellently prepared. Appetizers are large enough for two to share, as are the salads, if you don't want to get full before your main course. Great variety of fare to choose from including steak, chicken, and fish. Sides are also large enough to share. Favorite dishes are the Jumbo Grilled Asparagus and the Sweet Potato Casserole. Serving staff are very attentive to your every culinary/beverage needs without being overbearing. Gets full fast. Definitely make reservations even if you're an early diner. Great place."
