Arnaud'sClassic NOLA flair & fareFood was excellent. Waiters provided excellent service, very accomodating especially with taking pictures. The Jazz band was also wonderful.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMArnaud'sThe food was excellent, the bar was lacking in the beer area.
They staff seemed a bit uptight ad created a stuffy type of atmosphere.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfectEverything was wonderful. We prefer the quieter main dining room over the Jazz Bistro. Had drinks in French 75 bar the night before, which was perfect for their signature drink of the same name.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMTop moment in NOLAMy wife and I loved New Orleans, LA. One the top ocasions was our Sunday Brunch & Jazz at Arnaud"s. Incidentally, it was mother"s day, the day we were there. Many families were gathered to celebrate. Very nice, seeing those happy families, very elegantly dressed in their best clothing, - from babies to grammas and granppas. Everything was magical for us: the ambient, the people, the food, the music. The service, captained by captain Lee, was perfect. Adorable waiters; despite of the sofistication of the place, we felt at home. I'm glad I had the chance to record a movie and take photos of that moment. We have a lifetime to remember souvenir. Congratulations.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat brunch bring your appetite4 course brunch on Mother's day was fantastic! The crab cheesecake was out of this world! The Arnaud's shrimp was also delicious. Quite the "old school" restaurant, lots of seersucker and some ladies in hats. Only disappointment was our waiter, he was not attentive and our bananas foster that he cooked tableside was not great, he really didn't make much of an effort to make it properly.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome -We celebrated our 28th anniversary at Arnaud's and the experience was superb! The staff was wonderful as was the atmosphere and the food.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful room outstanding dinnerOur dinner was incredibly delicious! The service was extraordinary and the setting was beautiful. Our best restaurant rating out of the 7 top spots we enjoyed.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Oysters Ever !!!Arnaud's Oysters Bienville are amazing !! Gigantic compared to Cape Cod oysters yet delicatly prepared with white wine parmesan cheese bacon and pimento then baked to perfection ....5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFavorite placeIt's one of our favorite places. This year was our first jazz brunch and it was wonderful as well. Thanks to all.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAtmosphere exellent-livelyAtmosphere exellent-lively but not too much--3 out of 5 loved meals--frog legs were a bit overdone and the filet stuffed with shrimp was small and not well presented. Overall--a good New Orleans restaurant and I would return.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst class dining on Burbon St.Incredible dining while viewing all the madness on Burbon St. Save room for the desserts!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMRevisit oftenWe have visited Arnaud's every time we are in NOLA which is at least once a year. It is the quintessential NOLA eatery and should be a must visit on everyone's itinerary.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Sunday Jazz brunch.Great Sunday Jazz brunch. We sat on the little balcony and at first I was a little disappointed that we couldn't see the band. When they came up and played songs according to our wishes at each table up there I was very happy we sat up there and got our own little live concert.
Definitely recommend the bananas foster dessert that is prepared live at the table. Must :)5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was absolutely deliciousFood was absolutely delicious from appetizer to dessert!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMSolid food, good ambienceArnaud's oozes old-school charm, with attentive service and traditional menu options. Nothing avant-garde here; but tasty none the same. This is more for the 50-and-up set, but fine for a nice date night, followed cocktails next door at French 75.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMYummy!I loved the alligator sausage and shrimp bisque, as well as the duck breast. Delicious!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a New Orleans gem! This is a New Orleans gem! It's great to go to an up scale restaurant to enjoy a great meal, good conversation and everyone in the restaurant wanted the same thing. I know this because no one brought their kids!!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Perfect EveningBegin in the Frenbch 75 Bar, then move over to the main dining room. From top to bottom one of the best dining experiences in the country.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGracious but needs updatingWe went to Arnaud's wanting have a traditional Creole white table cloth dining experience. We were looking forward to comparing "classic" preparation to the newly evolved creole/cajun cuisine elsewhere in NO. The room and service didn't disappoint. We also enjoyed the jazz trio in the Jazz Bistro. The food was a disappointment.
The approach to food probably hasn't changed in a very long time. The signature souffle potatoes were cold and several were un-puffed. The trout had half a pound of almonds dumped on top and even the replacement dish lacked finesse. Overall, it felt like a kitchen that was unenthusiastically executing old recipes without any attention to detail and any accommodation to more contemporary approaches.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMPleasant surpriseI had not loved Arnaud's in years past, but we were able to get a relatively late reservation during Jazz Fest and decided to give it another try. Everyone in our party had a great meal. I had wonderful gumbo and had one of each of Arnaud's baked oyster selections. The service was excellent! Recommended.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMA Wonerful Dining ExperienceIt is a pleasure to dine in such a sophisticated atmosphere. There are so few such venues left. The food was some of the best we have eaten, anywhere, and that is saying a lot for NOLA.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe second of three great meals inThis was one of the best meals I've had! The fish I ordered was cooked perfectly and had a wonderful almandine. The service was spot on, and timed perfectly. I highly recommend this restaurant, it's no wonder it has been in business for so long.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMBest steak everMy steak was cooked to perfection. Bernaise sauce was delicious. One of the most enjoyable dining experiences ever!5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMJazz, wine and dine at Arnaud'sFine dining at its best. Warm, knowledgeable servers made sure we found the perfect wine, signature appetizers, great entrees to share and desserts we would have been sorry to have missed. Everything was delicious. Rich, old-world flavors in the baked oysters - it was hard to choose which we liked best. The veal was tender and in an amazing sauce. Somehow nothing tasted too buttery even though it was very rich. The banana's foster was the best I have ever eaten. Just what we had hoped for in old New Orleans.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFestiveWonderful experience! Although I found the food a bit too salty for my liking and I never did receive the coffee I ordered, the servers were attentive and the bananas foster demonstration was fantastic. Classic NOLA and a fun time with a big group.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch at Arnaud'sWe really enjoyed our brunch here. Food was good, service was exemplary, and the musical trio was extremely entertaining, too.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMThe brunch was outstandingThe brunch was outstanding and the service was warm & friendly. The musicians were very good and the overall atmosphere was pure classic New Orleans.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMTraditional New Orleans GemLiving in a city that tends to spoil you where food is concerned, I must say my husband and I were pleasantly surprised and very happy with our Sunday jazz brunch at Arnaud's . The prix fixe menu offers a variety of choices, seafood, meat and egg dishes. It is a four course meal that is priced by the entree you choose. I enjoyed the Eggs Sardou - bed of creamed spinach (very slightly laced with Pernod I think) artichoke bottoms topped with perfectly poached eggs and light, lemony hollandaise. Yummy!!!
The dining room is bright and cheerful and not too cramped. And the strolling jazz musicians were excellent.
The service was good, just a little slow to start. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Check it out!4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMNite OutThe Sazarac was not too good! Overall a good experience4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe arrived at such a beautifulWe arrived at such a beautiful and historic restaurant only to have the hostess try to seat us in a bland, hallway-like seating area adjacent to the only other party (with an infant) seated in the area. We requested a change and were given a nice table in the main dining room. We dined early, at 6:15, so the restaurant was not crowded. The waitress was very cordial and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend the restaurant if you insist that you get a table which allows some appreciation of the ambiance.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat evening. Superb foodGreat evening. Superb food and service. An institution in NOL. Began with classically prepared escargot, followed by oysters, and finished with quail---all great dishes. Service was very attentive and knowledgable. Others had fish dishes, also perfectly prepared and presented.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMTHE place to eat in New OrleansThe is THE place to eat in New Orleans. We ate at Commander's Palace the night before and Arnaud's just flat dominated that place in every way. The service was better (and much, much friendlier and more approachable), the food was better, the room was better, and the wine list was better. SO recommended!4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMA wonderful eveningWe began our evening at French 75, which was lively and welcoming, and one of the few upscale locations where cigars are welcome. The service was outstanding. We then moved into the dining room for dinner. The chef willingly accommodated the vegans in our party, providing an off-menu vegetable dish that was quite good. The service in the dining room was every bit as good as in the lounge. We loved sitting in the beautifull historic room, and lingered for about two hours. Overall, the experience was extremely enjoyable.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMIn my top three favorites!Outstanding service! We were treated as royalty from the moment we entered the premises. We are certain to return to this New Orleans landmark to once again enjoy the fabulous service and fine dining. To future visitors: do yourself a favor and arrive early to enjoy a moment at French 75. And after dinner you MUST order the Café Brûlot.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMFood Abd service was superb...butFood Abd service was superb...but the jazz trio in the jazz bistro was really something special that warmed our hearts. Lovely experience-I've lived in Nola for 6 years and this was the best!4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMMediocre foodThe service was attentive and friendly. The food was mediocre.

Had the sampler of veal, crawfish and crab cake. Enjoyed the music, could escape from Bourbon Street!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfectPerfect. We sat in Jazz Bistro and were concerned it would be too loud for conversation - it wasn't. Everything from food to service to ambiance to touring the restaurants Marti grad displays made for a very pleasant experience.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMA Kingly ExperienceA true culinary experience. The wait staff was extraordinary. The food fit for a king. Arnaud's made you feel like the king.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the best restaurantsOne of the best restaurants I have ever gone to.
