Arnaud'sWe celebrated our 39th anniversary. We celebrated our 39th anniversary. The restaurant treated us as very special guest.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMA New Orleans ClassicArnaud's is without a doubt a staple of the New Orleans dining scene. A classic grand old Creole-French restaurant. Oysters Arnaud are a must for anyone who likes those kind of baked oyster dishes. Great fish. The Jazz Bistro is supposed to be slightly less formal, but these may be the best seats in the house anyway. A great place for tourists who want to get a taste of the city, or for locals to remind themselves of how great a place New Orleans is to live.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of my favorite NOLA RestaurantsWOW - the food, the jazz...everything was WONDERFUL - thank you for a terrific evening!6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMwhere is the speckled trout?really enjoyed Arnaud's on my initial visit months ago, fantastic speckled trout! I have been twice since then and no trout so have been disappointed. The food is good but the trout was spectacular and wish they would put it back on the menu.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMArnaud's is consistently wonderfulThis is my second trip to Arnaud's for Sunday brunch and I couldn't be more pleased. The atmosphere is wonderful, the jazz trio is perfect and the food is outstanding. The wait staff is phenominal. If you are ever in New Orleans on a Sunday, be sure to go to brunch at Arnaud's!6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMHappy!I took a group of 19 to dinner here and not only was the staff fantastic before the dinner - with me constantly changing my numbers, etc, but they were fun and laid back with excellent service at dinner. The food was great, the scenery was perfect, and this is a must-hit restaurant in New Orleans!6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was the second time weThis was the second time we were there, and loved it.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMFrench Quarter Dining EleganceMy wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Arnaud's, which I might add is an excellent restaurant to celebrate such an occasion. The crab cakes and scalloped potatoes are definitely the best choices on the menu. If you are in the mood for an elegant dinner in the French Quarter, then you need to eat at Arnaud's.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMService a serious disappointmentI expect service in a restaurant of this caliber to be attentive and flawless. The food was very good, but I have had better service in casual eateries. I think this was an off night for our server, everyone else seemed to have excellent service - we'll definitely be back (especially to French 75) and will hope for a better dining experience.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMVery pricey for what you getVery pricey for what you get but it is definitely worth trying out at least once just to say you have been. We sat in the Jazz Bistro and it was very fun. Love the music and we had a great night. Food is wonderful but just small portions.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe bestI had the best filet I have ever eaten. Literally cut it with a butter knife (regular table knife). Not inexpensive but worth every penny. Highly recommend.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time dining here isFirst time dining here is over 25 years. Nothing has changed. Still one of the top tables in town. I had oysters rockefeller and my wife the filet. Both were outstanding.
Highly recommend.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMArnaud's was recommended toArnaud's was recommended to us by a friend, whom we have thanked profusely. The jazz bistro offered New Orleans ambiance without impairing conversation. Our waiter, Hannibal, was a true professional. Don't hesitate to direct people to Arnaud's.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentService was outstanding---total staff was set for a positive experience. Excellent food--we ordered a little of everything--thanks for taking a group of 8.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't wait for Round 3This place has a high level of service to match their outstanding food. A "must eat"place in my book. I have been twice and can't wait to go back for round 3.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Bananas Foster Ever! This was by far the best Bananas Foster I've ever had. Great food and impeccable service are standards at Arnaud's.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMAnniversary DinnerWe chose Arnaud's for our anniversary dinner and we were very pleased. The atmosphere was nice and the service was great. The servers worked great together and were very courteous and professional. The food was well-prepared and we were both happy with our selections. Desert for two was exceptional. The drinks were not as good as the food, though. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Jazz Brunch! This is one restaurant on my list that I always visit when in town. Families from New Orleans patronize this venue regularly. The jazz brunch is especially enjoyable.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Service! The food and atmosphere is equaled by the very professional service here. I always enjoy my visits and this dinner was excellent!5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food quality is phoenominalThe food quality is phoenominal and the service is very friendly and attentive to every need. Very fitting. We loved the oysters Arnaud. We enjoyed getting a signed copy of the Arnauds cookbook.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat New Orleans ExperienceOne of the great old restaurants in the French Quarter. Make sure to check out the upstairs Mardi Gras museum.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMNoise LevelIt was extremely noisy in this restaurant...you could barely hear the person next to you at your table.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMdiamond in the roughWent to New Orleans for convention and typed in BEST authentic restaurants in french quarter and Arnaud's came up. We were completely impressed. Food was outstanding. Service was excellent. Would highly recommend and would visit again on another trip. Cigar bar was a great appetizer before our table.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMCouldn't have been better!25th Anniversary celebration was noted by several on staff upon entry. (I noted it on my on line reservation). Immediatly seated in ideal location. Great appitizers. The filet was outstanding as was the wine and side dishes.Great desert and after dinner drinks. Fun people watching well dressed clientel behaving properly while still having good New Orleans fun. Staff was wonderfully attentive but non-obtrusive.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Sunday Jazz BrunchThe food was great. The Jazz trio added that special touch to a great experience.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazingBest food I have had in a long time! Pricey but worth every penny!5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ExperienceThe food was outstanding and the atmosphere exquisite!5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the bestJust GO, and you might understand. We went for the Sunday jazz brunch and so enjoyed the entire experience, we will never visit NOLA without a meal at Arnaud's ever again.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Brunch ExperienceI chose Arnaud's specifically for my graduation weekend brunch because I had been there before and I knew that I wanted to share the Arnaud's experience with my family. Everything was perfect, as I expected. From the food, to the service, to the classic jazz tunes of the Gumbo Trio I could not think of a better way to show my family what a true New Orleans brunch is like.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and service wereThe food and service were outstanding. New Orleans fine dining at its best. Can't wait to go back.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific NOLA experienceWe had dinner in the Jazz Club, which was terrific (and extra $4 per person.) Surprisingly it was not too loud, and we were right next to the band. My husband and I were able to hold normal conversation throughout dimmer. The band also walks and plays from table to table taking requests. It was great! Dinner was spectacular too. We chose all items in red, which are original menu items (since 1918.). We figured if it had been on the menu for almost 100 years, it must be great. Everything was delicious! The service was top notch, too. We would recommend it to anyone visiting NOLA. The bananas foster dessert was prepared table side and was a great end to a fantastic meal and experience.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was too loud in the JazzzIt was too loud in the Jazzz dining rom for my husband and I to have much of a conversation5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMAdd to your Bucket ListDo not risk dieing without going here at least once!5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMClassic NOLA flair & fareFood was excellent. Waiters provided excellent service, very accomodating especially with taking pictures. The Jazz band was also wonderful.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMArnaud'sThe food was excellent, the bar was lacking in the beer area.
They staff seemed a bit uptight ad created a stuffy type of atmosphere.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfectEverything was wonderful. We prefer the quieter main dining room over the Jazz Bistro. Had drinks in French 75 bar the night before, which was perfect for their signature drink of the same name.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMNoisy but good foodWent for Mother's day Brunch was seated right away but waiter took a good 5 min. to take our drink order. He was more interested in the table further in back of us that was a bigger tab. Once we ordered food took a while to come but was definitely good. Had the Fish Meuniere with shrimp bisque. It was very noisy. and very busy.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMTop moment in NOLAMy wife and I loved New Orleans, LA. One the top ocasions was our Sunday Brunch & Jazz at Arnaud"s. Incidentally, it was mother"s day, the day we were there. Many families were gathered to celebrate. Very nice, seeing those happy families, very elegantly dressed in their best clothing, - from babies to grammas and granppas. Everything was magical for us: the ambient, the people, the food, the music. The service, captained by captain Lee, was perfect. Adorable waiters; despite of the sofistication of the place, we felt at home. I'm glad I had the chance to record a movie and take photos of that moment. We have a lifetime to remember souvenir. Congratulations.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat brunch bring your appetite4 course brunch on Mother's day was fantastic! The crab cheesecake was out of this world! The Arnaud's shrimp was also delicious. Quite the "old school" restaurant, lots of seersucker and some ladies in hats. Only disappointment was our waiter, he was not attentive and our bananas foster that he cooked tableside was not great, he really didn't make much of an effort to make it properly.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a marvelous Mother'sWe had a marvelous Mother's Day brunch. The jazz was delightful without being overpowering; the food was spectacular. We were treated like the only ones in the room.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA Must While in New OrleansPut this restaurant on your "must do list" while visiting, Everything about it was wonderful, it was one of the highlights of our trip!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome -We celebrated our 28th anniversary at Arnaud's and the experience was superb! The staff was wonderful as was the atmosphere and the food.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful room outstanding dinnerOur dinner was incredibly delicious! The service was extraordinary and the setting was beautiful. Our best restaurant rating out of the 7 top spots we enjoyed.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Oysters Ever !!!Arnaud's Oysters Bienville are amazing !! Gigantic compared to Cape Cod oysters yet delicatly prepared with white wine parmesan cheese bacon and pimento then baked to perfection ....5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFine dining in the French QuarterArnaud's is a classic French restaurant with local New Orleans influence. Excellent menu, bar and wine list. Unfortunately, I go back to a time where men and women dressed for dinner with appropriate attire and didn't wear blue jeans and tank tops to a restaurant the calibre of Arnaud's. That time has passed. Although the quality of the kitchen has remained the same, Arnauds caters to the tourist trade and has lowered it's standards for its' patrons. The wait staff is not as personal and professional as in the past.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFavorite placeIt's one of our favorite places. This year was our first jazz brunch and it was wonderful as well. Thanks to all.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFood good, service not so muchWe ate in the Jazz Bistro. The live music was great and really set the mood for a nice meal. Overall the food was very good, although the side dishes were pricey for what we received (overcooked asparagus with cold hollandaise sauce and cubed, bland potatoes). Our real issue was with the service. Our waiter's assistant wasn't very attentive or polished. She plopped dishes and silverware down rudely, and she often reached directly in front of and across of us to place and collect items. She also seemed like it was an inconvenience for her to attend to us, like she had somewhere else to be. Ironically, we saw her standing around talking to other employees most of the time. Our server wasn't much better.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
