A word from Armani's
Known for its authentic Northern Italian cuisine, the new Armani’s restaurant features a fresh, sophisticated design and an atmosphere ideal for a romantic dinner for two, a get-together with friends or an upscale business function. With floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Tampa Bay, guests can take in spectacular panoramic views during dinner and enjoy a drink on the outdoor patio before or after their meal.

Armani’s signature antipasto bar allows guests to create their own first course from a selection of more than 30 items and a dedicated station offers fresh made-to-order Caesar salads. Armani’s “primi piatti” menu includes vegetarian, pasta and soup selections, while main courses range from veal scaloppini in a truffle sauce over mascarpone polenta to wild salmon on pan fried risotto bianco.

Diner Reviews
  • "We choose Armani's as a venue to celebrate special occasions not only for the outstanding food and service, but for the ambience, and piano music. Wonderful view of bay and sunsets, great selection of wines including old world and California."

  • "On August 16th, I got engaged at Armani's Restaurant. The entire staff including Kathleen Morgan were extremely helpful in pulling off an incredible night to remember. I highly recommend Armani's for that special occasion - Birthday, Anniversary, Engagement, etc."

  • "Enjoyed my meal. Kept seeing other tables given candles, with rose pedals, and wondered why them and not us. Service was all over us to start, and then largely gone. Enjoyed the special occasion dress and ambiance, until a different crowd in shorts tromped through. Tight nature of seating can make tables seem to be on an aisle or path, if you are not directly pointed at window."

  • "In researching fine dining areas with a romantic atmosphere in Tampa, Armani's was top rated and it's for a reason. The restaurant is on the top floor of the Grand Hyatt hotel right on Tampa Bay. It occupies the entire corner of the building that faces the bay so there are a lot of tables with great views. In making the reservation I requested a window table and also mentioned that it was our anniversary. They sat us at a great table and the service was amazing. Someone was there any time we thought we might need or want something without ever asking or needing to flag someone down. The food was amazing also. We started out with their signature Antipasto and had the chef put together his favorite selection for us. It was all so good."

  • "We ordered wine and it never came we waited for over half an hour for it when my husband went to check another wsiter who hardly spoke english told us that she disappeared. He said yes yes dont worry about it when we said we were leaving as if he was doing US a favor. How reficulous for such a nice high quality restaruant"

  • "The antipasto bar was very good. The view was also very nice. Food was good."

  • "This is an exquisite restaurant! It never fails to delight with its lovely views of Tampa Bay, its friendly yet non-intrusive waitstaff and its consistently excellent menu. Prices are certainly comparable to, and often more reasonable than other fine dining restaurants. The ambience is one of quiet elegance. After all these years, it does not seem dated. Somehow it has managed to remain current and in step with changing tastes without becoming trendy. I have been reminded that this restaurant should not be reserved only for special occasions and will return more often."

  • "The food and view cannot be surpassed in a Tampa Bay area. Be sure and plan your reservation you are there for the sunset. the antipasto bar it is fabulous and one of the best values on the menu."

  • "My husband I arrived ahead of our reservation, but were seated immediately. The antipasto plate prepared by the chef included a wonderful assortment of food to sample, enjoyed with our Pinot wine. Our meals were prepared perfectly and we enjoyed the flourless chocolate torte for dessert with espresso while taking in the amazing view of the bay at night. Thanks for another amazing date night out with my husband."

  • "Armani's has a quaint bar scene with beautiful water and bridge view. We like to order a drink in the bar and chat over the piano music before dining in the restaurant. The antipasto bar is wonderful and is perfect as an appetizer. I would suggest one plate per couple so as not to ruin your appetite for your entree later. The filet mignon was delicious and it was served with a yellow tomato slice and red tomato slice. It was divine. The outdoor balcony has a fire table and sexy view of the water and lights at night."

  • "The food experience overall was acceptable, however not outstanding. We expected more for the price. Separating the bar tab and dining tab was kind of cumbersome and should be combined. Service overall was slow. I expected more since when I made reservation I informed them it was birthday, anniversary and other celebration all combined. This was not acknowledged upon arrival until I mentioned to the server. Will I go back again most likely no as I did not much care for the menu. Great view and great for special occasions."

  • "I was fortunate enough to be able to go to Armani's the night before my birthday. The view was fantastic at sunset, the food could not have been better and our servers were spot on. It was all I could do to finish the Antipasto Bar and my entrée. The wine list was impressive with many new (to me) labels. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that would listen."

  • "Ambience, food, service, scenic view including sunset and a lightning storm over Tampa Bay!!! What more could you ask for!! This restaurant has it all! My girlfriend and I celebrated our 6th Anniversary here and I am so glad we found this restaurant. As a current 16 year GM over a high end restaurant it is sometimes hard to go out and enjoy my self as I am constantly observing what is going on in the restaurant. The staff is very professional and the hospitality was something I do not see much of from the Tampa area! The staff was very accommodating and very knowledgeable! The staff went above and beyond and the food melted in your mouth. They even gave us a little dessert surprise to celebrate. Thank you for such a special Anniversary!"

  • "We have a tradition for my husband's birthday at Armani's and have always requested the same table# 30 with reservation. When we arrived, we were told that table or no table by the window would not be available for at least an hour or more. We took a small table in the lounge area and told the receptionist to move us to a window table in the dining room when it becomes available. We ended up eating our whole meal at the small table in the lounge area. Although there is no guarantee that we would get what we requested but there was no effort whatsoever to accommodate us . We have always had great experiences at Armani's for many years and always recommend to our friends and guests but we will change venue from now on."

  • "Spent $600 after a few bottles of good wine and a healthy tip. Totally worth it though. Best view in Tampa (probably all of central Florida) great food, outstanding service. Never felt like we were waiting on food or like we were being rushed. I had the veal scallopine, it was impeccable. Can't wait to go back an try the Osso Bucco."

  • "Over the last few years many high end restaurants have popped up in Tampa. I have been to them all. It has been years since I have been to Armani's. I went there last night and was reminded and once again... amazed at how spectacular Armani's is. The ambience, views and cuisine is beyond compare to any other restaurant in Tampa. This is the ideal place to go to for a special occasion or to make an impression. I will definitely be frequenting Armani's more often in the future."

  • "Armani's has sure gone downhill. Seated AWAY from the bay & sunset- even though there were several tables available. Waiter ARGUED with us when we made a negative comments on the view from our table of the freeway. Antipesto was good. Pasta dishes were over cooked and too saturated with sauce. Key lime gelato too sweet and not tart. Meal was OK-can get the same from Olive Garden! Went for the ambiance, great food & service. Disappointed on all counts. Last impression before leaving- someone had thrown up all over the ladies loo- ."

  • "We went on the 4th of July for the first time, the views were amazing and it was a great way to watch the fireworks. The food was delicious, although portions small for the price. Our server was very nice and knowedgable, when he visitied the table. The service took forever and was way more spaced out than it needed to be. Our final coffee service took a solid 20 minutes from when we ordered it, our dessert even came out first and we had already completed it. This was our only plans for the evening, but if we had elsewhere to go it would have been irrating. Biggest complaint would be the AC levels, FREEZING! Even my husband in pants and sleeves was uncomfortable."

  • "Went to Armani's to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary on July 4th. I requested a table on the window so we could watch fireworks and we got a great table. The food was good but not great. The special bone in veal chop was tough. The veggies that it came with were a bit soggy. The dessert was ordinary. The service was very good and the views of the water and the fireworks off in the distance made the night very special. Yes, we would go back even if we weren't wow'd by the food. The bill was under $200 which I thought was reasonable as we had a glass of champagne and a glass of nice wine as well."

  • "Armani's is one of the only Five-Star restaurants in the Tampa Bay area and that rating is well earned ... Beyond excellent food, unique flavors and combinations, attentive and professional wait staff, gorgeous view. It's got all of the makings for a top-notch romantic evening."

  • "This is the second time my family has dined at Armani's and we continue to be disappointed with management's ability to deliver a sepcial seat requests. In both instances, I made reservations weeks in advance and specifically asked for a west facing table adjacent to the windows. This is very important because 50% of the appeal in eating at Armani's is the view! I don't want to pay $40/meal to overlook the airport. Both times Armani's failed to fulfill my request. I understand that several people probably ask for a window seat, but this past time we dined at Armani's, 75% of the restaurant was empty and yet they still couldn't hold a window table for us facing west? And even worse, the hostess wasn't even remotely apologetic about it."

  • "On a hot summer evening on our way to see the fireworks at Channelside we made a date for early dinner at Armani's. 14 stories high at Grand Hyatt we had a great view of the Courtney Campbell and kids running through wooded boardwalks out to the waterfront way down below. There was sunlight streaming through shaded windows as we chose a twosome table and a great meal - enjoying superb shrimp with scallops carbonara and citrus glazed salmon- both generously portioned and tastefully cooked. The atmosphere was festive with the upcoming 4th of July weekend -as the gracious pianist played mellow nostalgic tunes to garnish the occasion. Much appreciated the friendly service-and will certainly recommend."

  • "My husband and I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary here. We have been to several five star restaurants, but this one is exceptional. The view of Tampa Bay was fantastic. Our servers made us feel like the most important guests there. And of course the food was great! Try the Chef's Choice Antipasto Salad. We will definitely be going back soon."

  • "The experience at Armani's was so unique & incredible, starting with the antipasto bar!! What a unique concept and a great way to try out a number of different items! The service was impeccable, and our server made us feel special throughout, including a special dessert for our anniversary. Definitely save time to spend outside on the deck. It was so romantic and had an amazing view. When we go back, we'll definitely spend more time outside. Simply put, Armani's deserves its accolades as one of the top romantic restaurants!"

  • "Been going here for years. Excellent food. Everything is always cooked to perfection. Love the appetizers and the veal cannot be beat anywhere. Service was great. Thanks for another excellent evening. Hard to beat looking out over Tampa Bay. Piano music is great idea."

  • "Although the service was a little slow, we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The food was really good but not outstanding. It is the perfect place for a special date or to celebrate a special occasion. The ambiance is what makes Armani's so very special."

  • "We celebrated both Father's Day and a birthday at Armani's. We first selected from the antipasto bar but I don't think we would spend $19.00 per person to order it again (a salad would be preferred). My veal scaloppini, large portion was, again, good, not great (the risotto served with it was very good). My husband's dish was the stonebass, again prepared well, but, again, not great. However, our dessert, the hazelnut cheesecake was fabulous (everyone should try it). Albert, our waiter created a Happy Birthday plate complete with candle in serving it. The two outstanding features were Albert, our waiter (ask for him) and the ambiance (quiet elegance)."

  • "Chose Armani's for our 20th Wedding Anniversary Dinner based on researching online romantic restaurants in Tampa. The view was lovely but the food and service were about the same as going to a chain restaurant. The hostess did acknowledge our special occasion when we checked in and they did present us with a nice dessert. I may have set my expectations a bit too high. I was really hoping for an extrordinary meal/experience but in actuality it was rather average. My thoughts is that this venue is great for a sunset drink but the upscale prices aren't necessarily warranted."

  • "Expected much more from such a beautiful, established restaurant. Service was good, but the food was terrible. Too much dressing on salads, too much salt in lobster bisque, way too much sauce on pasta (could barely find the noodles). "

  • "Room temperature at bar was hot and uncomfortable for quite a while; older woman bartender all alone and overwhelmed, took 20 minutes to get a drink; No Italian Maître De or servers; the Italian ambience was missing; service was slow; disappointed with numbers of men in jeans and sneakers-minimum dress code necessary if it is to remain upscale; dining room smelled like the oven was being cleaned for a period; menu had nearly no Italian favorites-menu appeared to try to be too fancy therefore received 2 out of 4 dishes ordered not looking like what you thought you ordered; gelato was more icy than creamy; Armani's has been a favorite over the years but seems to have dropped their standards dramatically since I was there just 6 months ago."
