Diner Reviews
  • "We have never been disappointed at Armani. Just to grab a delicious bite, entertain friends, or family special occasions. The level of service is impeccable and food best outside of Italy! Thank you!"

  • "Ever since we lost our Armani Café in Boston about 8 years ago we have been coming down to NYC on our annual pilgrimages to Armani Ristorante. The restaurant is attached to the store and a fantastic oasis of sophistication, top notch Northern Italian food and ambiance. Staff very courteous, portions small (which is a good thing) and nicely presented. Zafferano Risotto is creamy and to die for. This place is not for everyone, but those who know, love it with a passion including us."

  • "The service was extremely slow. I went in for a quick lunch, but it took us 2 hours to finish because the servers took a long time to bring out the individual courses."

  • "This is an amazing spot - excellent, excellent food and a great wine list. It's truly a hidden gem."

  • "I have been to Armani Ristorante several times in the past. Last week my wife and I wanted to try it again. We were seated next to a table with 18 elderly men and women. Probably celebrating, but behaving like children in a zoo. Shouting, laughing and screaming. It was impossible to have a normal conversation at our table. We could observe that many guests reacted the same way. The evening was spoiled. Waste of time and money. I will definitely never go back."

  • "This is a stunning restaurant space with equally stunning food. We had the tasting menu and every bite was superb. I would highly recommend this for really fine dining experience in a 5th Avenue chic setting."

  • "I routinely take clients to dinner in NYC. This evening was the best experience ever. The service was excellent. The food was perfect. The ambiance fabulous. Simply one of the most enjoyable evenings I have ever had in the city."

  • "Thank you--Ms. Beale and Mr. Casillas enjoyed it as usual!"

  • "I've been a handful of times, and each time I'm glad I came. I needed a spot for a business meeting with two potential clients and it was perfect. Not only did they make an exceptional Vesper martini, my dish of prosciutto, mozzarella and balled melon was out of this world! Can't wait to visit again."

  • "The vegetable and spinach salads was great, the langoustine pasta was fair. The pasta was fresh however the sauce was limp and tasteless. Overall very underwhelming. The server was professional and pleasant however it took a very long time for the entree to come out. We felt dismissed and forgotten about. However, they were very gracious when we expressed our disappointment. They took the main courses off of the bill and were very apologetic. I would go back and would recommend to a friend--with caveats."

  • "3 of us came here for dinner, ordered the following: Apps: Crudita di Mare - my favorite from all of the apps we ordered, the langoustine was perfect, wish i could order just the langoustine Risotto Milanese - BLAND, nothing special, shouldn't have ordered this Risotto Nero - i've had way better and less expensive. Should not have ordered as well. Ravioli - if it didn't have the quail egg inside, this would have been just a subpar dish Scallops - no complaints, it was good (although..i am biased, i always love scallops, as long as they're not over cooked) Main: Lamb -perfectly cooked, no complaints as well Branzino -i've had better Tartara di Manzo - this i liked, loved the combination w/ the artichoke salad and parmigiano Not coming back"

  • "Everything was impeccable -- particularly the food and wine. Strongly recommend!!"

  • "Armani Ristorante is a sure bet for a great dining experience. It's disappointing that the very best osso bucco in all of New York is no longer on the menu, and some of the tastiest bread rolls are gone too... What's left is still very good, of course, but the menu changes were clearly a bad idea!"

  • "Couldn't believe that this place has been opened for 5 years. ( I think initial reviews back then were tepid.) Well, today, it should be considered a go-to mid-town Italian. Elegant space, attentive and highly professional greeting and service throughout the evening, tables spaciously arranged in a beautiful modern Italian room, great elegant bar. We could have been in Milano. The food was wonderful; our party had veal chop Milanese and a spectacular green tagliolini with tender langoustine, black truffles & mushrooms. And we had a bottle of a Calabrian wine that was both different and excellent. All amazing."

  • "Armani Ristorante never disappoints. Whether it's a special occasion or a lunch or dinner with friends, as soon as you enter the glamorous space you know you've arrived somewhere quite special. Service is fantastic with a knowledgeable staff who really take delight in answering any questions. And the food--freshly and lovingly prepared. Most recently I had the spinach and pear salad which comes in stacked layers, and the branzino which was delicate and moist and simply yet perfectly prepared. Take a date, take a client, just go!"

  • "Went in for valentine's day, which was a prefix 4 course meal. The service was really slow, it took nearly 45 minutes to get the appetizer. A couple of times they brought the wrong dish and the food wasn't really tasty at all. It was a prefix, so likely that's not the usual experience, but in my case it wasn't a great one."

  • "Extremely over priced and honestly pathetic food ...nothing proper to eat ... Staff was good but food awful and outrageously expensive . Would never ever make this mistake again ."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "The room is very nice and it is great for people watching but lunch service was rushed. The quality of food is not worth the price. The ice cream dessert was prepared and plated in advance, so ice cream scoops were dried out. Definitely too expensive as lunch came to $60.00 per person without wine and only one dessert."

  • "Enter this architecturally sleek venue, as well tailored as an Armani suit... We had a divine evening, enjoyed our dinner and loved the attentive service."

  • "I had a gift card to this restaurant so I essentially had my meal for free. It was delicious and the service was great (I did go early, right when the kitchen open, so we were essentially the only ones in the space at the time). While my food was good, I'm not sure that it was worth the price tag. Not ridiculously expensive, but also not the best thing I've ever eaten. Still thoroughly enjoyed and it's a great place for those times when you want to feel posh."

  • "I was introduced to Armani through a friend and continue to be thankful for her kindness in turning me onto this venue. The staff is warm, knowledgeable, and always considerate. Food is both beautiful and delicious. Thank you for consistently being a cut above everyone else."

  • "Among the best Northern Italian cuisine in NYC. a rare find"
    Dined on 1/18/2014
  • "The amount of food you receive per cost of the item is a little ridiculous. For instance, I ordered the ravioloi dish for ($29) and it came with only (3) small raviolis. If it hadn't been for the 2 large glasses of wine I would have left very hungry instead of just a little hungry. All in all, the ambience of the restaurant is fantastic just the food portions are quite small for a large price but the food was fantastic."
    Dined on 1/17/2014
  • "This restaurant is fabulous - the food is outstanding and the service is excellent - but it is definitely on the expensive side. Totally worth it for a special occasion or if you aren't worried about cost. Everything is very fresh and very tasty - you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I will definitely be back."

  • "I am a NYC attorney who represents many Italian luxury goods companies. Accordingly, I have frequent occasion to entertain visiting Italian businessmen. I know that when we dine at Armani, it will be very much appreciated by Italian visitors from Torino to Palermo."
