"As always, the food was good. We were with friends from out of town who'd never had anything like the queso, which was delicious in the very light flour tortillas. They also liked the beef fajita nachos, pronouncing them "not nearly as messy" as the piles of chips with stuff poured on top that they're used to."

"We were seated in the bar for dinner on Friday evening even though we had reservations. It was our first time to dine at Armando's and many times we enjoy bar seating, especially if there is live music. It was not the case at Armando's. Very loud canned Latin music played continuously. My Pork tacos al carbon was delicious especially after I added the hot salsa on the table. As for service, the busboy was attentive but our waitress seemed bored to tears. We will return but will request to be seated in the main dining room."

"Everything was fine -- they knew it was our anniversary and comped our dessert. Only negative was our entrees came out very shortly after our appetizer -- timing could have been better to allow us to finish the appetizer."

"Not as good as in the past--think they had an off night. They were very busy ---even with a reservation we had to wait 25 minutes. The hostess did keep apologizing though. Then we were seated at a table next to a large party. We felt very squished in between a large party and some columns. Drinks even tasted off--watered down-frozen margaritas were slushy like. Food was good overall. Black beans need some flavor."

"I have been going to Armando's for years. This version is overpriced and the food is not nearly as good as it used to be. The margaritas were $12 and they charged an extra $4 for Herradura tequila. And the margarita was just average. The flautas and the beans were greasy. The presentation of the food and the service were above average but the total bill with tip for 4 people was way more than I would pay for mexican food. Average food, way too expensive."
