Great RestaurantI enjoyed the food, service and ambiance. Will definitely go back!!!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDid not honor our reservationWe waited one hour despite our reservation. This is not the first time that this has happened. It is unacceptable to have a 7:15 reservation and be seated at 8:15. We will not be returning5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMUptown crowd with a downtown vibeUpper East Side "scene" restaurants are hard to come by, but this is one of them. Not as pretentious as Crown, with better food and service. Very nice, soaring space with a vibrant scene. Sort of a "downtown comes uptown" setting that caters well to the older, more homogeneous UES clientele, and a welcome change to the area's "same old, same old." Good food, diverse menu and surprisingly good service to boot. A repeat for sure....5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Steak EVER!!Being a "837Club" Palm Member since 2005, I must say the steaks served at Arlington were the best!! Only negative is that we should have tried the "Truffle" fries. The "plain" fries were ok. My macaroni and cheese (Gouda) impressed me. The side dishes are very large so if you are not a big eater, plan on sharing. The drinks were exceptional. You could taste the alcohol and not the mixers. We were concerned about the reviews regarding wait time WITH reservations however we walked in, were greeted with smiles and brought upstairs to our table which overlooked the restaurant. My family and I are already anticipating our next visit.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and serviceWas overly noisy and pricey though. How could a starter salad be $18??5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMPricey, but the food was excellent.Pricey, but the food was excellent. Get the mac n cheese and the Arlington potatoes5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ExperienceWe were seated promptly (albeit on a Monday evening), treated politely, and the food was really quite good. This might rank as my favorite steak house in NYC.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMHave had brunch here twiceHave had brunch here twice and both times the food was excellent and service was great. The monkey bread they give you as a starter makes dessert redundant. Definitely on my list for return trip.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMBest steak of my lifePlus they have delicious pop-over bread. We had a reservation, but still had to wait 30 min past our scheduled time to be seated. Nowhere to stand in the bar area (it was a crowded Thurs night), and we couldn't even make our way to the bar to get a drink while we waited! But the food made up for it. Onion rings melted apart, vegetables were fresh and delicious. No need for steak sauce - the steak is delicious on its own.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMMust Eat!Even if your Not in the mood for a good roast chicken, it behooves you to order it because it is accompanied by the BEST french fries/ chips that I have ever eaten....Anywhere. I dont indulge in fried foods often so when i do, it has to be special. Pilled ski high on a plate, the essence of truffle oil wafting in the air, dusted with Parmesan and herbs, you don't expect them to be so light and crispy, just divine!5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMA tomato lovers paradiseEveryone knows, or should know, AC is a meat lovers haven. But who knew they had sensational tomatoes in the salad, we had salad with Stilton cheese. The waiter was polite and had a sense of humor. And he brought us a "surprise" dessert, which put the perfect button on the dinner.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMSave for special occasionFood was delicious, but too pricey, so save for special occasion.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFood is excellent but getFood is excellent but get ready to wait for an hour for your table even w a reservation on a sat nt4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMHighly recommend the CaesarHighly recommend the Caesar Salad, the skirt steak, but the popover is a bit too large because it cools down too fast and should be eaten warm.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMSushi appetizers and steakSushi appetizers and steak entrees made a great dinner combination. Reasonably priced wine list Excellent, knowledgeable service. Very crowded and noisy downstairs - upstairs a little quieter, but even here, be prepared for high noise level.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMBetter than my first visit,Better than my first visit, it seems to be settling int it's own. We all went for the fish this time and this seemed to be a good call.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for a special occasionDefinitely one of the best places I have been in a very long time. A great diverse menu for a steakhouse. Our water was filled constantly. Our waitress was terrific. I've never seen a bigger plate of fries and the rib-eye for two was Flintstone sized! We had a 7:15 reservation and we were seated at 7:20. We did see a lot of people waiting later in the evening. Beautiful space. This place is SUPER EXPENSIVE so be prepared for a little sticker shock when the bill comes.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMvery pretyy....very pricey...veryvery pretyy....very pricey...very good...very busy4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Restaurant; Obnoxious DinersFood is wonderful, service was very good. It's the 'looking for love bar crowd' that could use a little fine tuning. Arlington Club staff is doing a great job catering to a tough crowd. We live in the neighborhood so we'll wait a few months for the crowd to calm down before we go back.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGREAT STEAK ! GREAT SERVICE !GREAT BARTENDERS. DRINKS ARE TOP NOTCH ! THE STEAK HERE IS OUTRAGEOUS. ALL OF THE SPECIALS ARE ALWAYS REALLY WELL DONE. THE SERVICE IS PRETTY GOOD AND NOT INTRUSIVE. THE SIDES ARE FANTASTIC. FRIES, CREAMED SPINACH, THE LIST GOES ON AND ON. THIS PLACE IS ALWAYS PACKED, ALTHOUGH I DON'T THINK ALL OF THE CROWD IS HERE FOR THE FOOD !4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, fabulous lookingGreat food, fabulous looking place. Service and wait staff terrific.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAlthough it is an enjoyableAlthough it is an enjoyable restaurant, I find
their prices to have gone up substantially,
while shrinking the portion sizes. For example,
their chopped salad was $11.- now it is
$16.- and it's placed on a smaller plate with less
exciting ingredients, and also last time their strip
steak was $29.- now $38.- The food, service,
and ombience are all enjoyable, but their increases
across the menu makes one feel uncomfortable,
and as if they really don't care about their
clients- just want to rake in the cash. The one
turn-off!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe loved it. But the noiseWe loved it. But the noise level was disturbing as it got later. But 8:30 we were shouting at each otehr across teh table in order tobe hear. the solution is to go earlier even if that is not the "hip" thing to do.
The Caesar salad and popovers are AWESOME and the service was terrific.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food and Good EnergyI read mixed reviews but decided to reserve at the request of an out of town friend that wanted to try it. We were very surprised because it was excellent overall including the service and that was an area often faulted
The prices are high but the food was worth it. A good mixed crowd and a high energy, two elements often hard to find on the Upper East side4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved everything! The food was out of this world and the service (by Cori) was Amazing!! She made very good recommendations and everything wasBetter than we could have hoped! I would definitely go back (and have made A reservation to do so!).3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent cocktail list, beautifulExcellent cocktail list, beautiful sughi (even though they 'ran out of rice') I love sashimi and it was so fresh and wonderful. Great filet, perhaps a little overcooked, but still very good especially if you like dry aged cuts.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed a wonderful brunchEnjoyed a wonderful brunch that included an excellent monkey brioche. If the short-ribs hash is available when you visit get it! Lobster salad is also a must have - very flavorful(wish I had the recipe for the vinaigrette) and included a generous amount of lobster - perfect to share with a friend. Fabulous service. Will definitely be returning.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMNice decao and nice foodExpensive ,be carefull ordering side dishes - they are huge !
Scallops and beef is very nice3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGREAT STEAK ON UPPER EAST SIDE,Expensive? Yes, But you get what you pay for. It's worth it! Steaks and sushi are the main event , with chicken and fish also on the menu, I love the bone in filet, Their beef is better than all the other high end steak places around town. Salads are huge; share them. Service is excellent, ambiance and decor are fitting for a steak place. Upstairs is quieter; . It gets noisy after 8pm. Instead of yesterday's bread, they serve warm, fresh, fantastic popovers (Yorkshire pudding if you're a Brit) , as huge as grapefruits, studded with cheese and other stuff. . We celebrated a birthday with the best cheese cake. Arlington is a great addition to the Upper East Side, and worth a trip from anywhere. GO!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMAfter months of being unaAfter months of being una ble to secure a table, we were very pleased with the food and service. Though the noise level bordered on unbearable, overall we were pleasantly surprised, outrageous as the price may have been. Well worth it.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMEveryone here is amazing!Everyone here is amazing! The food is always perfect.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMRemarkably, the restaurantRemarkably, the restaurant is well-protected from bar noise, while keeping the energy up.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMLittle cocky because theyLittle cocky because they are the new hot spot.
Should have served the porterhouse for 2 to each dinner but they just dumped it on the table .
Lots of fat in steak.
