  • "Arizona Inn is an outstanding destination in mid-town Tucson. Driving up to this historic Inn built in 1930 by the original and current owners. This is a magic place to go back in time but with every modern convenience. The food and service are best in Tucson and the atmosphere is pristine. You will enjoy your experience."

  • "We celebrated a friend's birthday here with a special lunch. The experience was wonderful from start to finish: Beautiful location, attentive service, and good food capped off with a complimentary birthday dessert! We ate in the main dining room with its understated elegance; indoor/outdoor dining is also available in the adjacent bar. After, we strolled the beautifully manicured grounds. Lovely!"

  • "Brunch was a pre fix menu. Nice touch with complimentary champagne to start. 6 to 7 "first selections" on the Brunch Menu. Many, many other "second" selections to complete your meal. A separate desert menu was presented later with complimentary coffee or tea. $30 per person seemed fair. Excellent service. At 11:30 am the main dining room was 1/4 full. I expect more action occurs "in season"."

  • "warm wine, stuffy server, raw steak, wilted salad that was wine. Manager sort of said I'm sorry, and never returned to our table again, so I say we'll never return again, after 10 years of great dining, tonight was the last.... was to be a special meal, which one of us never even ate dinner.... no one seemed to even care. Plus other diners had several dogs, dirty clothes on and should never have been seats...."

  • "Exceptional venue and ambience. Visiting the area and had dinner with friends on the patio. Dinner and drinks were wonderful. Our server, Melody, and additional waitstaff provided exceptional service. Piano player was great. Will definitely dine here again when we are in Tucson. May even stay overnight. Very neat grounds. Highly recommend!"

  • "We needed a place with good food, nice ambience and quiet enough to have a serious discussion. The Arizona Inn fit the needs very well. Our lunch and discussion lasted over two hours and we never felt rushed. The staff was attentive, but not obtrusive. Very pleased."

  • "We enjoyed a quiet, romantic dinner at the Arizona Inn to celebrate our 18th anniversary. Everyone was so attentive, from seating us to helping us decide on our selections. For starters, we enjoyed a marvelous five cheese/fruit/cracker appetizer and French onion soup. The onions were still slightly crisp, but well carmelized. The gruyère cheese was tasty, but not overpowering. The broth was not salty, but full flavored. Our entrée was the pork tenderloin with apple fennel relish, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, carrot puree and tender asparagus. We savored every flavor! Our wine steward helped us select a fine Argentinian Malbec. A complimentary desert with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate capped our dining experience. Perfecto!"

  • "This old ,historic Inn , is lovely to walk through and around the garden property. A nice greeting upon arrival at the restaurant. It is elegant but not stuffy and by the way parking is easy with the lot across the street. We ,a party of three had brunch on Sunday. Nice Choices ,tasty meal on a prix fixe dinner with choices. On another occasion we were in the bar and cocktail lounge .Nice appetizers and piano music. Great place to celebrate or go on a date .,Go and enjoy !"

  • "The Arizona Inn is truly a walk into the past, the setting is a beautiful, historically maintained resort. Not lavish by any means, but lovely gardens, peaceful setting. The restaurant there had excellent food, I had the lamb chops which were nicely flavored and prepared. The pea soup was excellent. The wine list is modestly priced. Service was excellent. Not crowded at all."

  • "From beginning to end our celebration at the Arizona Inn was truly special. The staff at the AZ Inn is so well trained and accommodating. Can't wait to go back. They took care of diner's special food needs without calling attention to them. The day before the event I got a call from the Inn just doubling checking on the reservation."

  • "Arizona Inn is the best place in town to have a fine meal on our special day. 18 years of being married. This was our second anniversary dinner here and plan to have many more here. We had the best tenderloin in town...We hope to stay over night sometime to enjoy the grounds. They are so beautiful.."

  • "We were in Tucson for a convention, which happened to be the same weekend as my birthday, and my husband wanted to take me someplace nice. We found the Arizona Inn on a few resto review sites, all with excellent ratings, and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed! Good food, quiet atmosphere, and friendly service."

  • "We truly enjoyed our dining experience at the Inn. We had out of town guests and wanted them to get the feel of elegant Tucson dining. The Inn did not disappoint! We had drinks in the bar, followed by a deliciously prepared dinner in the main dining room. Food was great and service excellent! We will return"

  • "PLUS: * Good food * Good service * Nice atmosphere - quiet MINUS: * Large formal lounge area had soiled napkins, cups, saucers on most of the tables that appeared to had been there for a bit. We were in the room for over 30 minutes and they were not removed, or after 90 minutes or so after dining. * Linens on our dining table had multiple stains * Food was good, but not outstanding as it had been many many times before OVERALL: Perhaps just an off-day for the Arizona Inn, but it was disappointing to see stained table linens on dining and all of the dirty service items in the formal lounge. Not up to the usual standards at ~$28 a plate. We will return, but if it has not improved to previous standards we will not return."

  • "As this IS THE Arizona Inn that we're reviewing, we were - once again - dismayed that the wait staff seem to not have been properly trained. We're not saying that they were unfriendly, inefficient or did not do they job well enough. Instead, we've noted that they did not know how to serve properly. This is not their fault - it's the lack of attention by the restaurant management. Well enough is NOT Good Enough for The Arizona Inn."

  • "THE ARIZONA INN IS A BEAUTIFUL HISTORIC HOTEL WITH A MENU THAT IS BOTH CLASSIC AND NEW. THE TASTING MENU WITH WINE PARING IS NOT TO BE MISSED. STROLL THE GROUNDS AND TREAT YOURSELF, YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID."

  • "Ever since we were introduced to the Arizona Inn on Elm, we have made it our special place to celebrate. From the clean, white, table cloths, to the gigantic, fresh, flower arrangement in the center of the room, the atmosphere is plush, inviting, comfortable and beautiful. The food flavors are fabulous. There is a newness and freshness while using familiar ingredients in a unique way. We are moving away from Tucson and we will greatly miss the Arizona Inn for entertaining, birthdays, and anniversaries."

  • "We love the AZ inn an routinely celebrate special occasions there. You cannot beat the ambience, food (mostly), and the service is very good. Ok, here is the criticism, lose some of the rosemary and upgrade the bread. Face it, bread makes a first impression and you know what they say about those! The rosemary overpowers the bread and the hanger steak pesto. The bread offered at the beginning of the meal and used on the sandwiches was also fairly dry. Fix that and no complaints. The salads and desserts were a stand out! The wine list is thoughtful and well priced."

  • "My wife has many fond childhood memories of swimming and having pool-side lunches here, in the 50's and 60's. Together, we have enjoyed a number of excellent dinners here, in 35 years of marriage. It's always fun to return to this special place. "

  • "The Arizona Inn maintains an excellent image, but I don't think the hostess staff, wait staff, or prep staff exemplify that image. I didn't find the hostesses very friendly or welcoming. That was the first disappointment. The wait staff were many and worked hard (we had a large party) but wish they would have been more attentive in bringing enough cream to table, checking to see if there were any needs. The food was very good, just not quite excellent. I do love the ambiance of the hotel and dining room. It just isn't quite excellent."

  • "Brunch in the dining room is attentive with a nice selection of items. First course corn & cauliflower soup was not a hit, being thick & bland but others enjoyed the fresh berries & the wedge salad. Flavorful entrees, ranging from bacon omelettes to chicken Caesar salads to halibut. Dessert was a winner, with a thumbs up for the crème brulee & especially the espresso crème brulee. I'm not a fan of red velvet, as I find the cake batter usually too dry without much flavor, so while the red velvet mini donuts looked festive with their white chocolate drizzle, I thought they were overrated."

  • "Arizona Inn has been a longtime favorite of ours for years. We enjoy the atmosphere for it is relaxing, quiet and eloquent. As soon as you walk in you can feel the old school charm and class. While in the dinning room you feel like dressing up, while in the bar you feel relax and comfortable. While on the grounds you feel at home or wish home was like this. A real Gem."

  • "We have been here a number of times and were really looking forward to our evening. There were 2 wedding parties at the hotel which might explain the poor food. Bread was barely warn, corn and cauliflower soup tasteless, salmon salad OK, veggie burger cool and not tasty. My wife's daqueri just did not taste right. Sorry, we usually do not complain, but will probably not go back . The place has a great ambience, and we enjoyed that, but not the dinner.I have had good meals there. Hopefully it was a fluke ."

  • "Four of us had lunch on a Friday in the main dining room. Some of the food was very good (crème brulee, ceviche, halibut, cheese plate), but most of it was mediocre/indifferent and not worth the price (Caesar salad, Poblano chili, red velvet doughnut, Tequila Sunrise, side dishes for the halibut, shrimp & quinoa pasta dish). We had drinks, appetizers, main course and dessert, and dropped more than $200 -- but other than the special occasion, the meal itself was not memorable. Our main server was eager to please, but a bit tentative (she appeared to be new, and didn't know details of some of the menu items). "

  • "The best thing turned out to be the tiny grilled scallop on a bed of corn salsa served as the chef's "treat"; the spinach/kale salad was also fine, but the Chef Salad was gummed up with cherry tomatoes and too many croutons. The BLT appetizer was too sweet, though the biscuits were fine. My main course of salmon was oddly served on a wide pasta, and broccoli seriously undercooked ; the duck breast was fine but the "forbidden rice" overwhelmed it; and the beef tenderloin was good but not outstanding. Of the desserts, the sampler was best. The so-called blueberry cheesecake was pretty, but more of a mousse, with a great pistachio crust. Service attentive, traditional ambiance, lovely grounds to wander and good art to look at."

  • "Beautiful setting with music from piano player in the bar. It is downhill from there. Duck, pork tenderloin and halibut inedible. Dry and over cooked. Honestly, I'm not certain that I could have identified the protein that I was served as duck. The restaurant only modestly busy. I had to track down our waiter to get our check. Then the waiter had to ask where we were sitting. As our plates were finally cleared no one seemed curious that our food was largely uneaten. Everything was so disappointing that sending it back seemed like a waste of time. I could say more, but I trust that you get the message."

  • "We had dinner at the Arizona Inn on the outside patio. The service was really not that great. We took appetizers and an entree and they brought the entrees when we were not even finished with the appetizer, I had to ask the server not to take away my appetizer plate while my mouth was still full... The food was very mediocre. And also, we were sitting close to a bush and there was a small rat in the bush... not the greatest experience, especially for the price. "
