  • "I came her during restaurant week. What a great choice I made Love it!!"

  • "The food was just okay. I expected at least one thing to be be a WOW this is really good, but no. Scallops were good but the vegetable had a very strong vinegar taste. The salmon was bland. I only ate a few bites. The service was very good. They were really busy the night we were there."

  • "the food is great, the service is great, the only complaint was poor lighting, and the menu print was so small had to use a 10x magnifier to see it..."

  • "It was ok. Simple Italian . Food could have been more authentic."

  • "We had a wonderful time, went to the bar first, met Jeff and had some really great drinks, Sidecar was yummy, then our dinner was so good, service was great, we had such a good time, will be back for sure.."

  • "What a fantastic menu! There's a little something for everyone at Aria Tuscan Grill. I highly recommend the gnocchi appetizer; talk about a taste explosion. Dishes are beautifuly presented and portion sizes appropriate to allow for full enjoyment of the menu."

  • "Both my wife and I had the Pork Arrosto. We would never serve such a fatty, tasteless cut of meat to anyone. The only good thing about it was the sauce. My wife's Shaved Kale Salad was excellent, but my Caprese Salad was forgetable as I could taste neither the tomatoes or Mozzarella. Don't bother coming here if you want to have a close conversation as tables are on top of each other and the noise level it quite loud ( they would do well to install something to baffle the reverberating noise level). When making our reservations, I added a note that this was a special occasion, and we were celebrating my wife's birthday. I had to remind the waiter as the note was not passed to him. Alas, he still forgot."

  • "Many people appreciate a good glass of wine with dinner. I detest the awful glasses in which Aria serves their wine. Why can't they afford nice wine glasses?"
    Dined on 7/15/2014
  • "Very knowledgeable staff. It was great for a date night for my wife and I. Portions were perfect. The duck was outstanding. From the discussion with our server, the chef seemed to care and take the time to experiment to offer unique dishes. And the tiramisu was out of this world."

  • "For a Saturday evening, Aria was not very busy- less than half full. However, we were seated directly between two other large parties even though there were many other two-tops available. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was hit or miss- the gnocchi appetizer was great but the pasta dishes were bland; the pasta obviously came from a box rather than house-made and the sauces were unappealing all around."

  • "Took a group of ten for a work dinner and was treated wonderfully. Everyone left impressed."

  • "We had a fantastic evening at Aria for my twins 14th birthday. Our party of 12 was seated at a long table in front of the street window. The ambience is very chic here and the decor and lighting are perfect. What I like is the variety in the dishes. You can get a reasonable priced pasta dish either traditional (lasagna/spagetti and meatballs or unique (bucatini with clams) or you can spend more on a fish/steak dish. The appetizers are wonderful and large enough to share. We had the mussels, calamari and I am still thinking about the gnocchi with truffle oil... Fabulous spot in uptown Charlotte. GO!"

  • "Dylan and I attend Heroes Convention every year in Charlotte. Dylan enjoys the convention while I look forward to dinner at Aria, a really excellent Italian (Tuscan Italian) restaurant in the heart of downtown. The folks that run the place are very accommodating and our servers have always been top shelf (this time was not exception. Try the calamari!"

  • "Living in NY the majority of my life, I'm a bit skeptical of going out and eating Italian. This place hit the mark. I will be going back for sure."

  • "We had an eclectic group of six on this visit to Aria; one chef, one gluten-free diner, two big spenders, an octogenarian and an "I'm just glad to be out to dinner" person. I can honestly say that everyone was totally pleased with our dining experience. Everyone ordered a different dish and they were all wonderful. The service was efficient but not rushed and the quantity of food for each item was appropriate. This just reconfirmed why Aria is one of our top two restaurant choices in Charlotte!"

  • "Couldn't even hear the aucoustic guitar player by the door. Didn't know he was there until we were leaving. Good meal but couldn't enjoy each other which ruined the experience."

  • "The décor of the restaurant was nice & I enjoyed the live music in the bar area. Everything on the menu sounded so good; I actually ordered 3 small dishes so I could try various items. I started w/ the gnocchi appetizer, enough to be a meal. The pasta was delicate & perfectly cooked & the sauce hit the spot. I then had kale salad w/ hazelnut dressing. This too was very large & tasty. It could have had a few extra accompaniments but overall it still tasted good & was big enough to share. I finished w/mushroom pizza. I was only able to eat 1/3 of it since the other 2 dishes were much larger than expected but what I did eat was divine. There was a perfect balance of cheese & oil/garlic. I highly recommend Aria for great homemade Italian food."

  • "Had a great before-theatre dining experience Friday night at Aria. Our server was wonderful and made great suggestions. Standouts were the kale salad (no kidding, it is delicious!!) and my husband's lasagna was exceptional. We were out well in time to get our theatre seats with no stress. We've been here before and will be back again!"

  • "First date and she had allergy to dairy. . Food had cheese and we sent back. I got the duck and it was chewy. Overall for 75 bucks not worth it"

  • "Food was a bit too salty. And why not serve wine in a stem glass?"

  • "My wife and I went to Aria for our anniversary dinner. The ambiance was very nice. The lighting was dim, a good view of the evening charlotte streets, an open kitchen to watch food be prepared. It was a bit noisy for a specifically romantic night but that didn't bother us. The service was excellent, checking in at just the right time without being overly intruding. But what remains in our mind the most is the food. Caramelized gnocchi is a must for an app. My roasted duck was outstanding and so was my wife's swordfish finished with an excellent tiramisu. Even though we were there on a Tuesday, the place was full; even more representing the fact that you won't be dissappointed at Aria Tuscan Grill."

  • "Very enjoyable dinner. A little noisy but that is an indication of the energy levels."
    Dined on 6/13/2014
  • "Yes, the food is good but I'm always blown away by the extensive wine selection and the phenomenally attentive wait staff here. The bar scene isn't too bad either."

  • "So glad I made a good choice :) had to make a reservation for an office function that included a large group The Service was spot on. ... The good food was a crowd pleaser"
    Dined on 6/12/2014
  • "We arrived a little late (thanks to traffic after a brief shower) but our server, Taylor, timed our orders perfectly so we'd still arrive at the show on time. I thoroughly enjoyed the pappardelle- the mint was a nice surprise and complemented the dish perfectly. If you'd like to be able to have conversation, ask to be seated away from the bar, which can be quite noisy. Interesting wine list and lots of great choices by the glass."

  • "The kale salad is absolutely delicious and the rabbit dish was interesting and flavorful - reminded me of a tur-duck-en. Sweetbread pasta was tasty but a little heavy. Great service and energetic atmosphere."
    Dined on 6/7/2014
  • "2 hits, 2 misses. The fish special and the rabbit were excellent. The peppered fettucine carbonara had none of the creamy richness one would expect. The braised lamb shank was not a braised lamb shank but a lamb roast with herb filling. This in spite of clarifying with the server the details prior to the order. Perhaps the language barrier was a factor. Also, the caprese salad was a bunch of grape tomatoes on 3 giant slabs of mozzarella. OK if you like the cheese, but not really a salad. Convenient to the show however."

  • "Loved the food, service and ambience. Will return."

  • "The location, service, food and drinks are top notch and keep me coming back to this gem. Being so close to the performance venues makes it ideal for dinner and theater. The food is beautifully done for an excellent price and the service reflects high hospitality standards. I will dine there many more times. "

  • "Food was excellent, decor is nice with nice view into working kitchen through glass wall. Staff especially host were excellent. The table layout for group of 8 is outstanding with a square table that encourages conversation versus the typical long table."
    Dined on 6/5/2014
  • "Ambiance and location (we had tickets to Belk Theater that evening) are absolutely awesome which is why we were so disappointed. We shared a moderately priced entree, had 2 moderately priced glasses of wine, 3 lousy salads and a kids pizza and the bill was $100. Entree was average at best and the salads were quite poor. Need to either step up the quality of the food, or lower their prices."

  • "From the wine list to the desert menu and everything in between this was a great experience. My wife and I will definitely return. This is a wonderful "Italian Restaurant" experience for an Italian family from NY. We recommend it. "

  • "My party of six did the pasta tasting which was varied and delicious. I would highly recommend this along with the wine pairing."

  • "Great place to take a date. Service was excellent and food was on point. Felt like we were the only ones there. "
    Dined on 5/24/2014
  • "What a wonderful find in downtown Charlotte! Although we were not expecting it, this was quite the romantic dinner since we were seated at the only table at the top of the stairs. The food was delicious and our server was attentive. I also appreciated that there was a good selection of vegetarian items. "

  • "I went a party for prom and we were upstairs where we wouldn't be disturbed. The food was awesome overall and the bill looked even better compared to the restaurant we chose last year. I loved it"
    Dined on 5/24/2014
  • "I really dislike when the server brings my dish and says be careful it is really hot. Why. Why was it setting under the heat lamp? The food was not as good as it was rated. Servers were good. Nice looking spot. "

  • "Aria was very good the only thing that could be an issue is the menus are very confusing. Parking was also a big issue but that's just uptown charlotte I guess."

  • "We went here to celebrate getting married. We had a party of 8. The noise level was perfect, where we didn’t feel like we had to be completely silent, but we could hear each other. The food was fabulous! I had a hard time keeping my fork on my plate as I wanted some of everyone else's food, all of which was delicious!! They had a live band (on Friday night). Not sure if this is an every night thing, but it was great.... the music level wasn’t over-powering like at other place. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! "

  • "I had a great dinner at Aria this week. This was my fourth or fifth time eating here. It is great for business lunches or dinners. This time was extra cool b/c we were seated at the Chef's table in the kitchen. Although, loud -- it added some great flare to the conversation."
