This is our second try and the food was average and although the wine list is massive, there was a limited selection of white wines that were a little on the sweeter side. Our waiter was indifferent and neglectful. I wanted to give a second chance to Aria, but we will not be back.

Aria is in an ideal location uptown, centrally located, close to the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, Booth Playhouse, the Arena and the square, located in the Bank of America Founders Hall at the corner of Trade and Tryon Streets. The decor is contemporary and elegant, yet comfortable. The atmosphere is suitable for business meetings, romantic dinners, and groups. The staff is top notch, professional and efficient. The food is fresh and creatively prepared, using top quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. The chefs are extremely accommodating and have never failed to deliver on my special requests. I'm a frequent diner at Aria and can attest that the food is consistently prepared to perfection EVERY TIME!

I chose Aria through many other reviews for my husbands birthday. I had requested through Open Table a quiet table and for a dessert to be brought over after dinner to acknowledge his birthday. When we arrived, we had 8pm reservations and did not have to wait at all to be seated. We were seated upstairs at a very small table next to the bar but still it was ok. Then the hip hop music from outside started blaring in. Not so romantic. The service was great. Very friendly staff. The food was very good but they never acknowledged his birthday. I'm not sure wether it was poor communication from booking online or if they just didn't do it but either way it was disappointing.

There were 7 of us dining at Aria this week from different parts of the US and different backgrounds. All of us would rate our dinners a 10. I had the stropazetti pasta which was phenomenal. Everything was so fresh and tasted like it had just been made. . .which it had!! I cannot recommend this restaurant more strongly. Also the food is at different price points so this wonderful food is doable on many budgets.

The food at Aria was incredibly fresh & delicious from the homemade gnocchi appetizer and the fresh crudo to our amazing entrees of both the lamb shank and the duck and the grand finale of tiramisu. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our recent visit to Aria. We wanted to go out for a nice dinner at a restaurant with good food and atmosphere, but that was moderately priced, and Aria was the perfect fit. The restaurant was chic but not stuffy, and we loved the decor and great location. We ordered the foie gras ravioli as an appetizer; it was a bit smokey for my taste, but my boyfriend loved it, and the presentation was great. We ordered lasagna and penne alla vodka for our entrees, which were both very good. With drinks (I had a great cocktail with prosecco and strawberry puree), an appetizer, and two entrees, the meal was around $50, which we thought was very reasonable. There was also complimentary valet parking! A great dinner spot.

My wife and I visited Aria over the past weekend. We have a few favorite Italian restaurants where we originate from. We were very taken by the restaurant when we walked into the door. The server was very helpful and providing some recommendations both from the wine and the food menu. The food we had was by far the best Italian food we have had to date. Unique, very well plated, priced well and very delicious. If you are looking for basic noodles and sauce, I would not recommend this restaurant. However if you are looking for an elevated Italian dish, please stop by.

We were invited to a late night cocktail party so we decided to have dinner with friends before hand. The food was delicious and the service adequate. However, IF I were to recommend Tuscan Grill I would caution about the noise level. The music was loud as were several tables nearby to the point where our table of four could not converse. It is definitely not a location for enjoyable food AND conversation.

It was evident that Aris didn't concentrate a whole lot on seasoning, but on concentrated a deal on sauce work. I understand foods costs & plate presentation, but it wouldn't hurt for the plated to be sauced a little more. The foods and the sauce last amazing together, but I feel to maintain consistency without the plate& for ultimate satisfaction; SAUCE IS NEEDED!

I went to Aria with some friends for Queens Feast and it very good! I liked and chose this restaurant for Queens Feast specifically because they offered a lot of items on their prix fix menu, unlike some other restaurants in the city. I gave Aria a "very good" rather than "excellent" merely because nothing we ordered was outstanding still talking about it the next day level great. However, nothing anyone ordered was less than "very good" either. I really liked the atmosphere in here though, it's elegant yet relaxed - It almost feels like one big dinner party!

The initial entry into the restaurant was thru the B of A atrium which forced us to go down the stairs to the Greeting Station that is servied, not by the 200 S Tryon address but a side street address, which would have been beneficial. We then turned around and had to go back up stairs to our table. Beyond that the food was very good and the service was good.

First-time visit. Glad to have been seated upstairs. Lower level was very noisy with most tables spaced closely together. Not enough aisle space upstairs between tables either. Servers and other patrons kept bumping my chair through no fault of their own. On the positive side the food itself was quite good. Mussels with fennel and garlic and lamb shank were both excellent. My wife's gnocchi and trout were, according to her, delicious as well.
