  • "Arcodorra is great for traditional Italian dishes. This is not your usual spaghetti place, but they make an excellent gnocchetti with wild boar tomato gravy. The service was wonderful and the wine was great as well. I am not necessarily a big fan of the atmosphere, as it feels choppy and they never seem too busy but the rest more than makes up for the atmosphere."

  • "From other reviews on Arcodoro, I expected much better food. Overall we were disappointed. Not only was the taste very average, the portion sizes were small, especially the sides. My sides were cauliflower puree, of which I received perhaps 2 tablespoons, and two small stalks of broccoli and perhaps, in total, half of a carrot. For the prices charged, we should have at least received more substantial portions on the sides. Additionally, the service was sporadic and not what it should have been for a fine restaurant. Unfortunately, we probably won't go back."

  • "The Doro Bar worked out well as a last minute lication for midweek afterwork birthday cocktails. The pizzas with prosciutto were a hit with everyone. The service was random. It took a solid 15 minutes just to get menus and we had to request service from another waiter and busing staff for drinks and table service. It was an extremely odd service. The 20% tip was NOT deserved. I would have rather given it to the other staff that actually served us. Otherwise the food and wine good. The dining experience in Arcodoro is MUCH better. Next time will skip the bar and recommend the restaurant for our guest events."

  • "I love this restaurant. It's beautiful, the service is excellent, the food is prepared and served beautifully, and the flavors and textures are perfect. We had the salmon (10 out of 10), ravioli (yum) and have tried steak and fish special before. All were excellent. We sat in the new covered patio, which is lovely and quiet. Some people were talking about how wonderful the pizza is from the TRUE woodfired oven...we will have to try that next time. I highly recommend this restauratnt, for couples or groups, for business or pleasure."

The halibut special that my husband ordered was not as successful. It was really bland. The service was very good. A very attentive staff. The ambiance was good, but nothing special."

  • "The bread before the meal was the highlight. We started by sharing the Polipo ai Ferri con Salsa di Peperoni (octopus) and you could definitely taste the grilled flavor and it was good. Then we ordered the Paella Sardinia Style (Serves 2). After having wonderful paella in Spain, I was excited to try Sardinian paella. It came out and was presented nicely but most bites contained a sand-like texture that crunched between our teeth and completely ruined the meal. I mentioned this to the waiter who told me it was the fregula (similar to couscous). I told him it was a sand texture and absolutely not caused by any couscous being crunchy. We left still hungry and trying to wash the texture out of our mouths."

It felt like being back in Italy. This time it was not the same, it feel like a regular "chain" restaurant ... we found out that the Chef Giancarlo Ferrara left to open his own restaurant. Now I will need to track down this Chef and we are not going back to Arcodoro ... sorry ... not the same"

  • "Past experiences at Arcodoro (1 year ago), indicated that Arcodoro was on the downhill track. I am glad to say that our most recent dinner was a total delight and we have now added them back into our favorite restaurants list. The service was outstanding, our waiter was very knowledgable of the menu and wine selections, service was timed very well and the food was a real improvement over the last time. Notable was the grilled octopus appetizer - very tasty - and we really enjoyed the pork loin saba with risotto. Our favorite is the whole baked fish and look forward to having it the next time we are here. Which will be very soon as the weather will make dining on the patio perfect."

  • "I took my wife to Arcodoro for a late Valentine's dinner. It was her first time there, but I had been there several times for work luncheons and dinners. It has a great atmosphere, with interesting artwork on the walls. We were welcomed warmly, and the host took my wife's drain from the bar to her table for her when we were seated. I thought this was a nice touch. The evening specials are displayed on a multi-tiered rack that the waiter brings around, so you can see exactly what they look like. The menu has such a wide variety of great choices that we actually had a hard time making a decision. The resulting meal was excellent. Dessert was the same. Highly recommended."

  • "The place is less than half full so we figure we are beating the rush. We get the Valentines menu we order and wait, and wait, and finally our salads arrive, bagged salad. You know that because of the little strips of carrot, no restaurant that makes fresh salad does that. By this time I have finished my cocktail and they take my glass and never ask if I want another. 25 minutes later out entrees arrive and the place got emptier by then so really no excuse. My NY strip was 1/2 medium rare, 1/2 medium, and 1/2 fat and not the good marbled kind. The sides consisted of more bagged salad, wilted from too much balsamic, and 3 halves of fingerling potatoes. The deserts were uninspired. 97 minutes and $140 and the feeling of being ignored."

The food and the restaurant were up to usual excellent standard but the service was disappointing. Our server may have been new or just distracted. But he just wasn't attentive."

The young man who brought our car around when we were leaving was also courteous, pleasant, and seemed happy that we had been there. Everything in between was mediocre and overpriced. Undistinguished food, undersized portions [and we are not big eaters], uninspired and uninspiring ambience, etc., etc. Sorry, Arcodaro, but if you want to be considered to be a top drawer restaurant, you need to make the effort to get there."
