The mint julep was in a beautiful silver cup with a metal straw... I felt like Scarlett O'Hara! The street the restaurant is on is a little off the beaten track, which might be a good thing. It was pretty quiet and the restaurant was about 2/3 full... If they were on the main drag, it would have been standing room only, the food was that good. Two teenagers, who fortunately liked seafood, were nicely preoccupied with crab legs. we enjoy Arch Rock Fish for good food and service--and because its lively atmosphere doesn't drown out the ease of conversation made possible by cozy booths. Being East Coasters, we had to try the Ipswich Fried Clams as a starter. While they weren't the size of Ipswich Clams back home, they were pretty good and the first we have seen in Santa Barbara. My wife tried the Lobster Roll for her entree. It was a bit different take than you get in New England, but she was very satisfied. I had the Miso Cod which was very tasty. My wife particularly liked the Margaritas as they were clearly freshly made as opposed to a premix.
