Arcane is a French/Caribbean restaurant in the heart of alphabet city in a very lively neighborhood. We offer a full menu of French/Caribbean specialties like Acras de Morue , Feroce d’avocat, colombo de porc , Blaff de poison or Conch fricassee . Along with those spicy dishes we serve some… delicious exotic cocktails including the T-punch made with an amazing rum from Martinique. "Good points: they have a nice welcoming staff (some speak French), good food, nice and good cocktails, and a nice romantic well decored place. Some friends can also come and have some cocktails at the bar after dinner time.
Only negative points: a bit far from any metro, so have to think about the walk when you count the timing. And they have a small list for wine bottles, with some of them missing in the cave, so more reduced. But good anyway.
Romantic style with very little light, especially at the back."

"We had never Tried Arcane, but glad we did. We had a wonderful evening. We were seated for our reservation as soon as we got there. The wine list was very nice. Something for everyone. We enjoyed our diner. Our server was very helpful answering questions. Two of us are gluten free, but they helped us out. We will definitely be back."

"Second time there. First time was a weekend and the second a weeknight. On weekends the place is jumping and the noise level can be a bit overwhelming. During the week it was practically empty. They had a live band, which was superb. Both times they make you feel very welcomed. The food is plentiful and delish!"
