Diner Reviews
  • "Truly a perfect start for a foodie weekend adventure!"

  • "Attractive place with very good service and some awesome food. The only negatives were the closeness of tables and noise level."

  • "I kind of expected better for Brunch. We had a long wait for our food. I was surprised to see that a cocktail cost more than my dish that I ordered. Mine was good but my husbands chicken and waffle tasted like they had been sitting on the pass for too long. His chicken was dry and the waffle... tasted like a hotel breakfast buffet waffle. I dont know if we will be back. Maybe."

  • "Booked a birthday dinner for my wife with a few friends. Wanted to try something new. Was not disappointed. Everyone in our group of six loved what they ordered. Wine was good, food was great and the desert was wonderful. Will be back to try other things on the menu. Also will recommend for people try it."

  • "Felt like we were troubling the staff to be there. Sat for 10 minutes before being greeted. Many staff (servers, bartender) including the person who looked to be in charge busy on cell phones and not acknowledging guests. Attitude was like we should feel privilged to be allowed to be in the restaurant. Food was pretty good. Having spent spent over $300 for 2 thought they would at least not felt troubled for me being there."

  • "It was a great simple lunch the broccoli soup and the chicken salad sandwich on the chefs choose 3 were amazing"

  • "Sure the cocktails are hand crafted but who likes to pay $13 for a four ounch glass with a huge slice of orange peel in it."

  • "We ordered calamari, romaine salad, flatbread (both) to start. All were delicious. The scallop entree was fabulous. I would return just for the scallops. Cocktails were also very nice, especially the margarita I tasted. I ordered the Willamette Valley pinot gris that paired well with apps as well as entrees."

  • "Impeccable from start to finish. Everyone was extremely friendly, professional and attentive. Great wine, drink, and food recommendations from our server Ian. We will be back again and again!"

  • "This is an excellent place by the Pearl Beer Brewery. The outdoor patio is charming and the service was excellent. The fare is fit for foodies. We had the lobster taco and the pork belly eggs benedict. Excellent and distinctive! We passed on cocktails although they had a very interesting list of possibilities. I highly recommend this place."

  • "The good food and service was completely negated by too much noise. We could not hear each other across the table. (We are not old and we do not have hearing issues.) We yelled at each other until we were hoarse. Then we resorted to writing notes to each other. We thought about moving outside but it was hot and there was music blaring out there. I had a terrible sore throat the next day. Very sad as the food was good. Will not go back until noise level is addressed."

  • "The food was really amazing the scallops and the calamari were simply awesome"

  • "Excellent specialty cocktails especially if you like boozy whiskey or bourbon drinks. Salmon was excellent. Portion sizes good. Choices for pescatarians and vegetarians."

  • "Nice settings, good service, good food, diferent from the rest in SA in a good sense...."

  • "Arcade has great culinary creations- we had lamb and sea bass and both were excellent!"

  • "This establisment has a great atmosphere for an after hours bar scene as the cocktails are excellent! Kudos to the bartender, my date and I each tried a couple of specialty cocktails from the menu and they were all wonderfully made. I think the cocktails are a little overpriced though. Our server didn't seem too knowledgable and kept pushing us to order extra sides. The food was good but would have loved to see a slightly bigger portion for the amount we paid. Leaving with over a $100 tab and not feeling full was dissapointing."

  • "The food is always good, the server a bit surly, and noise level is not good for much conversation."
    Dined on 6/7/2014
  • "I took my better half here to try a new restaurant. The atmosphere is rather modern and felt stiff. We were seated in the far back and it was still relatively loud with noise from the kitchen as well as other patrons. It was also a bit cold (and the metal chairs didn't help). The food was good, my only thought is perhaps the portions could have been a bit larger perhaps. Our server was also good, he even made up for something that was most likely our mistake. My biggest complaint is that I don't believe the total experience, although good, is good enough to command the prices that are charged. I'd go back if it wasn't as expensive in the future."

  • "Enjoyed lunch on Saturday after visiting the Pearl Farmer's Market. As always, the lobster taco and calamari were excellent. Great service - he was very helpful and patient as the 4 of us decided on a cocktail to enjoy."

  • "My husband I and I celebrated our 5th anniversary here and I made the comment on our reservation just thinking they might seat us somewhere different than if we'd just walked in. We received "happy anniversary" from numerous staff members and little candles on our desserts. The atmosphere was nice and the food was excellent. Cooked to perfection, paired and plated creatively and I can't say enough about the scallops. Would recommend without a doubt!"

  • "The food was okay. Very small portion for the price. I ordered the shrimp and beans and the beans were cold."

  • "Excellent food, reasonably priced. Very noisy making conversation difficult. "

  • "We do a couples date night once a month. This place is amazing! The service was great, the ambiance was great and the food was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. "

  • "I have been there twice for casual business dinners. first time was excellent second time service was lacking but overall a great place. A favorite in the Pearl Brewery Restaurants"

  • "Food is very good. Try the calamari for the appetizer as the sauce is excellent. The salmon, scallops and beef filets are very good entrees. Desserts are also excellent...the chocolate cake and banana stack are tough to beat. Good drink menu....try some of the concoctions. Ambiance is just fair. The place is very loud...don't go there if you're looking for a quiet meal/date. Our wait staff tried to be too helpful sometimes to the point where it got slightly annoying."

  • "The food and service was top notch. It was a little loud, mostly to do with poor acoustics and lots of hard surfaces. Portions were perfect, not too large or small and the menu was stellar."

  • "Very creative menu items designed with the foodie in mind. Service was excellent and made the dining experience memorable."

  • "Two of us went for a late lunch. The food and service were outstanding. We had the calamari, mussels, flatbread w/goat cheese, and flank steak sandwich. All dishes were very thoughtfully prepared with outstanding flavors & ingredients, including pleasing presentations. The only negative (which is not the restaurant's fault) is the noise from the construction vehicles (we were seated outside)."

  • "A noisy, busy place with a youthful vibe and innovative food at Sunday brunch. In our group, lobster soft taco and chocolate pancakes were a hit. The Happy Daddy filet was cooked rare to perfection and the fried eggs of the El Rancho were perfectly over easy (not runny) but the beans were tough. The complimentary mini birthday cake was a really nice (& yummy!) touch. Service was pleasant but could have been more attentive. Would recommend the food but not the full experience."

  • "Went for Brunch. The last time we were there service was so so and had issues concerning where they sat us. This time everything was perfect. The Lobster Soft Taco was fantastic and I highly recommend it. "

  • "Hello, This was our fourth or fifth time to Arcade and this time we treated our friends for their anniversary. Our reservation was not ready in time... which is no big deal, except for that the hostesses told us a quick 2 -5 minute clean-up to turn the table was all it would take. I think we sat 20 min later. Our server was less than greeting and seemed to be fighting to get out of the weeds or something.... we felt rushed and not very well attended. The food and wine was the savior... I understand Saturday nights are to be expected to be busy, and we will be back. However it was just disappointing that such a great place had less than great service that night. "

  • "My scallops were the size of nickels, and I was eating off my friends plate. I left still hungry and had to eat again later. And btw I'm 100lbs so I'm not a piggy. "

  • "We had a wonderful experience. The ambiance is great. And even though we had a party of 8, the service and food were impeccable. We enjoyed the lobster soft taco, romaine salad, and scallops. All super delicious. "The Arcade" cocktail is also awesome. Our server was named Roy and he was great! We were surprised to learn it was only his 2nd day at the restaurant. He was friendly, attentive, and just an all around great server. We will definitely be back!"

  • "Lobster tacos were so good! The outside patio is my favorite place to sit; service is great and it's not quite as loud as the inside area. "

  • "I was surprised to find delicious gluten free options at arcade. My husband and I both suffer from celiac disease and had no problems after eating from the list of options our waiter presented us with. We had salad, entree, and dessert"

  • "Arcade offers excellent food at a fairly modest price. It has become one of our favorite San Antonio restaurants. We had the always good calamari appetizer and the fish special. All great. "

  • "We had high hopes for Arcade. It should have been a home run but was a single instead. Lets start with the drinks. Arcade wants to be know as a hot sport for cocktails and has a very interesting menu. Unfortunatly we tried several items on the list and all were a bit boring and uninspired. I even ordered a drink with Absinthe and expected a unique flavor profile and got what amounted to weak lemonade. The food was a bit hit or miss. The appatizers we ordered, the Calamari and Salmon chips were dynamite! excellent stuff here. The main course was a let down. I ordered the ribeye and while the flavor was good the piece of meat was tough and chewy. All in all I expected much more for a $150 dinner."

  • "This restaurant is part of the redo of the old Pearl Brewery complex. Nice area that we enjoy. We were seated quickly and got our drinks promptly. To get our food, though, took a long, long time. We were about to complain when our food arrived. The food was very good and we quickly forgot about the time our food took. We will try it again. Two people had the chicken and waffles and loved it."

  • "The food was fantastic, particularly the lobster soft taco, NY strip steak, and the red snapper special . We tried two desserts, the roasted banana stack and red velvet cake, both were absolutely delicious. The cocktails were fun because they were unique to the restaurant and very tasty. We tried The Arcade and some of the barrel aged cocktails. We would definitely go back. The only negative and the reason I cannot give it a perfect score, is the noise level. It is very loud and difficult to have a conversation over dinner, especially when dining with a group."

  • "Everything here is good...but the scallops are the best! I also love the lobster tacos."
