"Went with a large group and the service was slow. However, when our server came he was very attentive and helpful. Once the food comes though it's fantastic. Really tasty, beautifully presented and spiced. Lots of unique touches - like the pre-dinner snacks they give you and the watermelon ginger palette cleanser. It's not cheap but reasonable for the attention they pay to their food. I have there four times and always enjoy the south Indian food. Highly recommend it. But they need one more server as they become more popular."

"Excellent Indian food from Kerala, so lots of fish, coconut, medium spicing. Very informative server/owner gives you cultural background on the various dishes. Creative Indian drinks. A fun and different brunch spot!"

"This restaurant really knows how to use spices! The food from the Kerala region is very fragrant and flavourful. We hade the main course dosa, the chicken and the paratha. First came an amuse-bouche which had a cheese-like consistency with very interesting spicing (sorry don't remember the name). All the main courses were intelligently flavoured.
One problem that night was service from the kitchen. Our appetizers arrived quickly but 50 minutes later we were still waiting for the mains.By that time were getting quite testy. Nobody came over to explain, so we called over one person who explained that their computer had crashed and were trying to catch up. Even so, you shouldn't leave your hungry customers waiting with no explanation!"

"7-course tasting menu was excellent. Each dish had just the right portion size and each was accompanied by a food involved explanation. There was enough variety and flavour intensity without being too spicy. What a great way to sample a variety of dishes. Loved the hot cumin water! Would definitely go back."

"Lovely food and lots of it. Only go there hungry as they bring nibbles, then amuse bouches between courses; when the main course arrived, I'm afraid I wasn't as hungry as I would like to have been which disappointed somewhat. The staff are very friendly, professional and love to discuss the food. We shared a starter of Kerala breads (3 kinds) and 3 delicious dips. Main courses were excellent - a chicken breast dish with excellent spicy sauce, and I had a whole trout baked in a banana leaf - moist and delicious. Wine list is very small but I had a Canadian Riesling which was perfect with spicy food. Water to drink is warm with a hint of cumin - sounds awful but I loved it."
