Welcome to Aragosta Bar and Bistro, the latest addition to Boston’s vibrant Waterfront dining scene. Located on Boston’s Harbor Walk in the North End, Aragosta offers a warm, social atmosphere in a stunning Waterfront setting, featuring an open kitchen with Chef’s Counter and an outdoor terrace with views of Boston Harbor and the U.S. Coast Guard.

With influences from Marseille to Genoa, the contemporary Italian cuisine gives signature flair to hand-made pastas, prime meats and New England seafood, using quality, local farm-raised ingredients.

  • "We waited for an outside table for our lunch on a beautiful day. It was 12 minutes before we were even acknowledged once we were seated. Our particular waiter seemed inexperienced, once he spoke to us. The food was very good and creatively presented, but the service was lacking and extremely slow by our wait person. The patio was not busy by this time, but something was amiss."

  • "I love being able to conveniently make a reservation online. It went through smooth and flawless. The Aragosta has a very nice waterside patio, which is quiet and relaxing for it's location. The valet parking is good and at $14 for 3 hours, that is the best parking rate in the area (unless you're lucky to find street parking). The food was great too (lunch menu). I suggest the flat bread for an appetizer, much more then just flat bread and tastes amazing. Their iced tea is different, maybe a hint of fruitiness, anyways it too is recommended if you drink iced tea."

  • "Wonderful to sit outside. Service was terrible. Had 7:30 pm reservation. Got there then and was told table was not ready. Turns out it was empty and it took 25 mins to set it for two. Then waited 45 for our apps to arrive - oysters I might add. Then waited and waited for main course. Waiter was surly and inattentive. We live in the neighbourhood and sadly, this is not the first time that that we have had such a disappointing experience."

  • "Had the most delicious meal here the other day. Started with a drink at the bar, the cocktail list was full of original concoctions. Then got seated outside, what a beautiful patio! Lovely ambiance. All of the food was exceptional, and our waiter was funny and attentive. The only downside was we finished our main courses around 1030, asked for dessert menus, and we're told we would have to move inside if we wanted to continue our evening! We opted to just get our check. This wouldn't have bothered me if there weren't other diners outside still working on appetizers! Oh well, saved me the calories and probably an extra 40 bucks on my check!"

  • "Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful. I had lobster bisque (very tasty and a fair amount of lobster chunks), and my partner had the beet salad which he loved. We both had the sea scallops, which were delicious. Creme brulee for dessert was good. The layout of the restaurant is odd - kind of long and narrow, not much ambiance (though the outdoor patio is probably very nice in summer). Nothing was particularly outstanding, but it was a good meal overall. I would not be against returning, though it's a little out of the way unless you are staying at the hotel."

  • "We loved the new small plates concept! There are so many interesting items on the menu and it was great to be able to try several in one meal. Among the small plates, the burrata and the meat balls were both excellent. For our entrees, we had a mix of classic Italian and more modern fusion dishes. The pea/mint risotto was beautifully refreshing. The rib-eye was perfect, accompanied by truffled compound butter and romano/herb potatoes. We sat at the chef's counter and Chefs Graham and Donna were both charming and knowledgeable. They answered our questions about the sources of the food, and we saw how prepared they were when another party came in with some food allergies. Our server Don was also top-tier with flawless table service."

  • "I took one of my girlfriends here for dinner and drinks and she fell in love with the place!! The food is consistently delicious and the staff could not be more friendly and helpful! We sat at the chef's counter and had Don as our server. She was very attentive and made sure that we were taken care of and NEVER had an empty glass of wine. Chef Graham came over and introduced himself, and helped us to pick out our dishes for the night. He persuaded us to try the burrata (which was DELICIOUS) as well as the scallop and chicken dish. Everything was phenomenal and we cannot wait to go back once the Spring menu is available! I would definitely recommend Aragosta for amazing food and wonderful service!! "

  • "The ambiance and service at this place are simply amazing, not to mention the harbor-view and the adjoining lounge. However, dinner was a tad on the disappointing side - I guess we were expecting something a little more mind-blowing based on everything else. Arriving early, my companion and I sat at the bar and enjoyed a couple of very good drinks. After being seated and choosing a bottle of wine, we selected the mushroom flat-bread as an appetizer, which was VERY delicious. For the main entree, my companion (a vegetarian) had the risotto and I chose the chicken. We were a little underwhelmed. However, it was still an overall great experience. "

  • "I selected Aragosta for an all girls night dinner for my roommate's birthday. All of us LOVED it - our waiter was super attentive and spoke intelligently about the menu. We had multiple bottles of wine and all were great. The food, phenomenal. I read a few mixed reviews but I don't consider myself a food snob but I thought it was great. I did the "whim" prix fixe which I thought was a neat addition to a menu, and I was not disappointed. We were hoping to be able to go out on the deck for smores but the weather wasn't cooperative that night. All in all, our experience was wonderful and each of us said we would be back again for sure."

  • " We arrived in from Montreal the day before. We parked at Quincy Market to take advantage of the weekend rate and had a nice brisk walk through the nice waterfront. The food was very good, not at the very top of foodie heaven, but very acceptable for Easter Brunch with my parents, who are not foodies. The blueberry french toast was very good, the crab omelet was excelent and lobster fritata received rave reviews from my mother. The service from all the staff was professional and top notch. My family really enjoyed this Easter. I would recommend this restaurant for small groups and families as the setting is intimate and you can hear each other talk without being too close to other diners. "

Manager could definitely sense our dissatisfaction and entire meal ended up being on-the-house because of the slow service (which seemed kitchen related). Walk up Hanover into the North End ......"

  • "I had purchased a lunch on LivingSocial at Aragosta, located along the wharf in the North End, next to the Coast Guard. A very good glass of Italian white "Aragosta" and tasty Caesar salad with lobster made for a delicious lunch. While I've not yet tasted enough for a fair review, Aragosta's relaxed, elegant ambience, professional and personalized service, and interesting culinary details make it a place I'd like to go back to and recommend. Croutons were home-made with focacia bread; stemless water glasses, handmade in Italy featured floating shapes of white and either orange or green on the clear thick glass, and patterned white napkins by Frette could catch any crumbs that may have dropped off your fork. (Located at end of Hanover St.)"

  • "I have eaten at Aragosta about 10 times now and have never been disappointed. Without a doubt this is one of Boston's best restaurants, if not the best. The food is spectacular, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is great. Make sure to order the flatbread or gnocchi appetizer and ask your waiter what they recommend for your entree (the duck and risotto are always good). In the summer they have amazing outdoor seating, but their indoor seating is good as well. I would recommend Aragosta to anyone and I make it a point to take anyone visiting Boston here. I will be returning many more times!"

The bar service was impeccable as both Pat and Joe charmed us with their wit while being very attentive to our requests. In addition, Chefs Richard and Donna WOWED us with a tasting that had one delicious entree after another. I highly recommend this establishment and will continue to visit Aragosta Bar and Bistro!"

  • "Ate here as part of Dine Out Boston. We took the prix fixe menu with wine pairings and were surprised to be offered options as we feel that the pairings should be the choice of the chef and sommelier. The lighting was terrible and cast a green hue over the food, I commented to the waiter that I had never seen a pea-colored lobster bisque before.He assured me that it was the normal rose colored liquid in the kitchen! The sea-bass on a bed of couscous was very tasty, if a little salty. The Amish chicken was ordinary but served with a sauce that overwhelmed the chicken."

  • "We live next door to Aragosta but never think to pop into the hotel for breakfast. This past Sunday we had company in town and decided to check it out. The menu, service and quality are all excellent. From the fresh scones, to the great cocktails and the entrees, we loved it all. We had the crepes, Coast Guard omelette and ultimate eggs benedict (which may only be a restaurant week offering). They were all fantastic. My one complaint is the indoor ambiance. You feel like your sitting in a hotel. However, Aragosta has a beautiful patio so once the weather warms up, we'll be back for some harborside dining."

  • "I went to Aragosta with a friend, sat at the Chef's counter and the experience was amazing! The food was very delicious and cooked perfectly. The ambiance was great for a Friday evening, and being tucked in the North End Waterfront made it secluded but not out of the way. In addition to all of this, Chef Graham was amazing. He was at the counter and took the time to explain our courses, what goes into them, why, how they work well together. It was a complete joy. Thank you for a wonderful experience."

  • "My boyfriend took me here to celebrate our anniversary!! We started off with the lobster bisque and the oysters and then shared the scallops and ribeye. Everything was cooked to perfection!! And you cannot beat the view of the water!! I'm not sure if it was planned in advance, but the Chef came over after the meal and introduced himself, he brought us over some champagne and congratulated us on our anniversary. It was such a nice touch and a sweet gesture that Graham was able to find time out of what I would imagine to have been a VERY busy service to ask us about our meal and wish us luck in what I hope is a very long future together! It was that attention to detail and truly going above and beyond that made it such a special night!"

  • "My dinner at Aragosta was fantastic! They were very accommodating of my party being a half hour late, and they even found a seat for us at the Chef's Counter like we had requested. The team was great. They fed us the delicious beet and burrata salad, gnocchi with different preparations for both myself and my friend to address each of our preferences (the gnocchi with bolognaise was insane - best thing I've had in a restaurant in recent memory), and then we had a tasting of dessert. Pro Tip: try the donuts! The portions were generous, and the experience was made so special by the chefs. Chef Graham Lockwood has made this already great restaurant unbelievable. He is a sure talent with a love for food that shows!"
