We love this boutique bar and restaurant any season and for brunch, dinner, or late night drinks and s'mores at the fire pits. Our most recent dinner celebrated our anniversary. We had the tasting menu, with wines paired at the suggestion of our waiter, Will. Each course was perfect. The monkfish with tapanade was especially wonderful. As we left a little jazz combo was playing in the lounge. It was a wonderful evening.

This was my second time here and it didn't disappoint. This time my husband and I brought my parents, and everyone loved it! Half of us got the lobster tagliatelle, which is amazingly delicious and includes big pieces of tender lobster, and the other half got the scallops, which my mother described as "out of this world". Our server was very knowledgeable about both the food and wine and seemed to really enjoy telling us about it. It's beautiful inside, and outside is great since it's right by the water. At the end of the meal our server reserved us a table in the lounge for the live jazz, which was also fantastic! Even the cilantro sling cocktail was great. I would highly recommend Aragosta.

We had good food, as usual. But the worst service ever encountered: slow drinks, forgetful waiter; in fact, multiple forgetful waiters. The system needs a touch-up.

From the moment my wife and I walked in we felt like high-end clients. The hostess greeted us with a big smile and our waiter mark was prompt and on the spot all night. We chose to sit at the open bar and watched our meal being prepared by the chef, Ryder. He was charismatic and explained what and how he was cooking. The courses were the perfect portions, rich in color and flavor and seemed to complement the one before it. We will definitely be going back and we will definitely be recommending Aragosta of Boston to anyone asking for the ideal North End experience

I had heard good things about Aragosta Bar and Bistro, so my friend and I decided to try it for brunch the other day on a whim. I can't speak for lunch or dinner, so maybe those are great, but brunch was both expensive and extremely disappointing. My friend and I each had an omelette, and neither was especially flavorful. We ended up paying $50 for two small, flavorless omelettes with side salads that weren't worth even half the price we paid. We had no problems with the service but we both agreed that we would not return for the food and thought it was a waste of money. Again, lunch/dinner could be great, but I absolutely would not recommend this for brunch.

Even though I made a reservation on the open table, the people who provided the seat were not paying attention and made us to wait for 10minutes. The foods were served so late that we have to wait for a while and even the service was so bad that I was very disappointed. The food is not that good too either. Especially, on the menu, they describe the rip eye was supposed to serve with truffle but it was not served with it.

We found this thru open table search. Walked from Quincy Market. Right on the water, with outdoor seating and fire pits. For desert you can make s'mores. Good italian wine list. Tapas, fire roasted pizza and dinners. All very good. Upscale and not a place for poorly behaved children. After there was a jazz trio playing with a nice espresso.

Great spot with nice views. Patio is very pleasant during the season. Greeted graciously with all online requests noted and taken into consideration. Have dined there several times now and all servers are extremely nice and friendly. Food is excellent. The menu could have a few more items but it is nice to be able to choose from small plates and small portions or to combine a few favorites.

We had reservations for 6:30 and were seated on time by a gracious hostess. We were worried about our dress as we both are more comfortable in nice jeans but quickly found out the restaurant was filled with all types of dress, from business casual to suits. The menu is short and sweet and our server Don was fantastic. Since Joan does have a scallop allergy and was ordering seafood, a chef came out to explain how the food was prepped to reassure us. The beer was cold and the wine was great....but the food was fabulous.

First of all they forgot my meal. I have a nut allergy. The waitress admitted forgetting to press the button for my meal. Another person came to ask how everything was and didn't notice I had no meal and then said it was delayed because of special preparation. My meal finally came out and a piece of bacon fell off and the waiter said he would bring another. No big deal but he didn't. We asked for lemon in our water and never received it. We asked for house wine and were brought a bottle of wine. To our surprise, it cost $56. Now that is a pricey house wine. The waitress said she was out of house wine. Wouldn't have been nice if she had told us before bringing us a $56 bottle of wine.

Our server was outstanding! I can imagine that serving during restaurant week can get a little annoying, but he handled it with grace - even when it began to rain and we had to move our outdoor seats... inside. The food was also delicious. This is a great place for special events, date night, etc.

We tried Aragosta as part of the Dine-Out Boston promotion and were quite pleased with the setting, the food and the service. There were only a few other patrons on the patio so the noise level was fine, and since it was lunch time and sunny, the environs superb. Food and drink selections were well worth the price plus just the right amount of food. Our servers were polite, duly attentive and understanding when other members of our party found themselves delayed by the T. We would return for lunch or perhaps a week night meal, since we suspect it would be crowded during weekends. Overall a lovely experience.

Great view of the harbor. The striped bass was a touch salty on the skin side, but otherwise, it was good dish. The short rib was also good but the sauce's flavor was off a bit. The tiramisu dessert was outstanding and the highlight of the dinner :-)

Had my Wife's birthday dinner here and it was all-around a great dinner. The outdoor seating was great, and watching the sun set while dining was a very nice touch. Cocktails were superb, as was the chef's selection cheese plate to start. Our entrees were delicious. All were enhanced by the excellent service by Aldo. He provided great service and was one of the best waiters we have dined with. Highly recommend Aragosta, and we will definitely be back.

Four of us went for a casual dinner on a quiet Wednesday night. The service was extremely slow to the point we almost fell asleep since it was so late out. We started dinner at 8:15 and by the time the waiter finally came over to give us our check it was after 10:30. It took about 30 minutes for soup/salads to come out, then another hour or so for our main course to come out. It was by no means busy. They started clearing all the tables around us at 10 after it seems others cut there meals early because service was so poor. It was very disappointing especially considering how pricey the menu is.

Went 1st time during restaurant week. Nice property right on harbor. Choose to be seated inside. Waiter John was very pleasant. Flatbreads and Caesar were very good. Rigatoni bolognese was also very good. Other 2 dishes were only so-so. Sea bass was cooked well and was hot, served w/ succotash that was well seasoned but cold. Chicken was very dry, it's different succotash was good. When told chicken was dry, was offered replacement. By that time everyone was done, so opted to pass on replacement. Dessert was also mixed. Gelato/ sorbetto combo was good. Did not care for pannacottas. Aragosta took the entire chicken meal off the bill. Thank you.

For the third time in a row this summer, the service was extremely slow and the staff inattentive. The desserts (none of which had to be baked/cooked) took 20 minutes to arrive to the table after the meal plates were taken away (desserts were ordered at the beginning). In addition, for the first time, the food was bland, and the portions (particularly on the lobster roll) were skimpy.

Love the setting and ambiance. Really feels like you're away on vacation. Inside is quiet and calm, great service. I live in the neighborhood and it's a great place for drinks and bar snacks which are very good. However the food in the dining room is more akin to the food served at a conference or very large event. I have had dinner there about five time since it originally opened, with several different chefs and it's such a disappointment ...so much potential!!

We always love Aragosta. Sitting by the harbor is wonderful. The inside is also very nice. Our server recognized us even though it had been a while since our last visit. He was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The location is perfect. On the water, but in a less crowded part of Boston Harbor, so it is very peaceful. We shared an appetizer and an entrée and each had our own glass of wine - a perfect relaxing dinner!

We love sitting on the water enjoying a cappuccino and a fabulous breakfast. It doesn't get much better than Aragosta. The eggs were a little overdone for my eggs benedict, but they were quickly taken away and replaced with perfectly poached eggs. The excellent wait person kindly removed the dish from our bill....very unexpected, not requested, but much appreciated. The yogurt, granola and fruit platter was sumptuous. This is a serious contender for any great breakfast/brunch spot in Boston.

Aragosta met all the right criteria for Boston-waterfront-outdoor dining. The entrance through the lobby and lounge made a great first impression for the style and vibe of the restaurant. Our group of four sat outside and enjoyed the waterfront view. The service was excellent and paced exactly right. The menu selections were wonderful--so hard to choose! The food was prepared perfectly and was delicious. Our group enjoyed the lobster risotto, heirloom tomato salads, lobster flatbread, a chicken entree, and gnocchi. It was all very very good. The valet service was friendly and prompt. This is a must try in the Commercial Street area of the North End.

We went here on a Friday night with another couple. We started our meal indoors in the bar area. We split the chefs selection for cheeses and meats. They was a good variety. We aslo split the sausage and broccoli rabe flatbread. It was delicious! After we finished the pizza- with a yummy pitcher of white sangria- we headed outside to the Terrace. We sat around a fire-pit and feasted on gruyere cheese fondue followed by make-your-own s'mores. A delicious & fun evening.

What a perfect spot in Boston's North End. Aragosta is right on the water with a spectacular view and it's away from the noise and bustle of Hanover St and other North End locations. I came here with a group of 7 and everyone was blown away with how delicious the food was, and of course the good service. Get a table on the patio if you can. Several people had the gnocchi which was amazing, we also had the chef's platter of cheese and charcuterie, the pork confit, the lobster risotto, and some of the freshest raw oysters I've ever had. Everything was great and the party was delighted with the whole experience. I would definitely come here again and recommend to anyone who wants a memorable night out.

We went for brunch. The price is on the high end, ($75 with tip for two entrees, two drinks) but the food was amazing. Our server was very attentive. It started to rain by the end of our meal, but she continued to wait on us, even though she got wet doing so. The outdoor seating is one of the best in the city. It's on the water, off of any street so just pedestrian traffic goes by. My only complaint was the hostesses. We had a 10:30 reservation, there were plenty of tables available, but we were not seated until 11:10. When I would ask the hostess about how much longer, I was told they were cleaning our table. I could literally see this was not the case. We eventually sat ourselves and I got a high chair myself because it took so long.

First of all I appreciated that the restaurant honored my reservation request to have a table on the terrace. The host and hostess were friendly when we first arrived and the wait staff was also very nice. The food looked as good as it tasted, and of course the view from the terrace was scenic. My only complaint is that the timing of the food wasn't good; we were only about half done with our appetizers before the main course arrived at our table.
