The food was very tasty, and the drinks were well made. The service was a bit slow, but because our group was very talkative, we hardly noticed. I will definitely go back.

We went on a recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent I had the beet salad, as my wife, along with 2 appetizers, the gnocci (w/lobster) and the scallops, while my wife had the vegetable tart. All were very good.

We went with the Groupon tasting menu and it was a fabulous sampling of delicious foods. We liked everything. The food was most assuredly French made rich with butter and cheeses and everything indulgent. Our server, Dante, was a champ. He really went along with my weird sense of humor and checked on us frequently. We were the only diners at Aquitaine that Tuesday evening but it still felt comfortable. The only thing that would have sent this experience over the moon is if we met Chef Holly. I have such respect for her and the work she's done with Aquitaine.

Great place with lots of ambiance, excellent food and service. Only one slight defect .. Spinach was waaaay over-garliced! On the other hand Golden Beet ice cream was smooth and creamy and a refreshing dessert taste. Definitely a place to return to!

There are some issues here. But first, we loved the ambiance -- lovely, small, welcoming. Appealing food selection, and we loved all our choices -- mussels, kale salad, salmon. Our server (Dante) was attentive and helpful. However, there was a considerable delay getting our main dishes. Two neighboring tables had the same problem. As all of us were going to theatre (as do many of the diners, it appears), this became really problematic. Seems to be a problem with the kitchen. My three stars for Service reflect a balance between the server (quite good) and the kitchen (unacceptable). Lovely place, and we would hate to see it go. But there won't be a lot of repeat customers this way.

Sad that there are too few restaurants around the Greenhouse Theatre. This one is hugely pricey, and the food truly unworthy and in mini-portions: I had a desiccated, dry 1/2 trout (I imagine the rest of it must have shriveled), a smoky mushroom soup that smelled of shoes, a small lump of tolerable mashed potatoes, and an unappetizing, likewise unpleasantly fragrant Asian-spiced spinach. Another of our friends had short ribs. In most restaurants, it comes with sides. Not this. It came in a bowl, alone and unloved. NEVER again.

Me and my boyfriend had reservations for 8:30 pm because we planned on going to see a movie before dinner. Luckily we got out of the movies and headed to the restaurant and they were able to take us early. The waitress was very nice and she gave us seats next to the window. Everything from the appatizer, to dinner then dessart was very delicious!!! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone especially couples.

Our older daughter bought a Group on for my wife for Monster's day to go to Aquitaine. It was for the 3 course prix fixe dinner. the selections were good and we both found items were were interested in. The portions were ample and well prepared. The preparation was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. We certainly plan to go back, especially because it is in our neighbord and easy to walk to. We are adding this to our list of French restaurant that we tend to frequent.

We were looking for a restaurant close to the Apollo theater for a pre-show dinner. Aquitaine was our find, and what a success. The staff was friendly and the food outstanding. We were there on a beautiful summer evening, so ambiance was a little easier, but I think this place would be great even in the winter. Quiet, relatively small dining area - great for a romantic evening. We recommend Aquitaine completely.

Service was awful. One waiter for entire restaurant on a SATURDAY night. Food was good although the onion soup had way too much cheese and bread in it and not enough soup. It was in a cup size portion. Waiter mixed up the bill. However the knucci was worth going there for.

We had a complicated night with college graduations and cancelled flights, this was our only family meal. The server was understanding and helpful. The food was delicious. Saffron mussels, salads, salmon, short ribs, vegetable tart, all yummy. The peach bread pudding was worth every calorie. Originally our youngest was, then wasn't, then was coming and they packaged and unpackaged her dinner gracefully. Support this restaurant, great food and good hosts!

This was my second time at Aquitaine, but the first time for the other 3 people in my party. Everyone loved it. The woman who ordered duck said it was some of the best she's ever had, and her husband wanted to return soon so he could order it for himself, although he did really enjoy his short ribs too. This is an intimate dining experience and you can taste the love that goes into every dish. The waitress was even able to whip up an outstanding chocolate martini for my husband even though it isn't a drink normally offered there. We will definitely be back!

The ambiance was good, especially for my elderly parents who can't handle too much noise. But the service, although not un-courteous, was slow and felt unpolished. I do credit them for replacing a spilled drink for free. But it took too long to order and the food arrived somewhat sporadically. For the main courses, the meats were piping hot (and quite good) but the sides were cool or even cold- very inconstant. Tables took too long to clear and they felt short-staffed.

Discovered Aquitaine on a cold January day and was won over by their scrumptious mushroom soup. Went this time for Mother's Day expecting a nice quiet early evening. There was a large loud party but they didn't really detract from the experience. Service was so friendly and good. Food was delicious--duck crepe (a perfect size for lunch entree), salmon and baby kale, filet, trout, beet salad with arugula, and salted caramel cake. Portions are ample--we even took food home. Aquitaine has a very intimate feel that we like.
