Our waiter, Julio, and busperson, Charlie, were fabulous... so attentive and right on top of everything. It felt like we had two first class waiters. Thank you...3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMAquitane Boston (SOuth End)Aquitane Boston (SOuth End) or Aquitane Chestnut Hill are always a reliable bet.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed our meal as usual,Enjoyed our meal as usual, early crowd kept the kitchen busy but our server Carolin was a delight as always.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMFrench bistro in NewtonThe newly revamped menu seemed to offer fewer choices of main courses (no duck, for instance), but the quality was high. Steak frites au poivre was excellent, veal schnitzel was good. Soupe a l'oignon was tasty but could have been hotter; it had probably been baked before the order was placed. The decor and atmosphere are very reminiscent of a Paris bistro. The wine list has several good choices for less than $40.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMI have eaten numerous timesI have eaten numerous times at Aquitaine and the food is always very good and tasty.
They have a limited lunch menu, but you can always find something. The onion soup is delicious.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMBy far this is our favoriteBy far this is our favorite restaurant when we do not feel like going in to Boston. Fabulous food, especially the mussels...best I've had anywhere. Great steak, delicious french fries. This restaurant has a perfect match of delicious food, great ambiance, great wine. We really do love this place. We love the Aquitaine in the South End also but for a delicious dinner close by during the week we are always happy with this restaurant. We have always had a great experience.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food, but small portionsThis has been one of our favorite restaurants for a long time. Food is excellent, service is friendly and attentive.
Lately, however, the portions are getting smaller and smaller. The salads are small, and the main dishes have extremely small portions of vegetables. I will think twice about choosing this restaurant, especially if I'm feeling very hungry.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went for brunch on a Saturday. We went for brunch on a Saturday. What a nice treat. The food was wonderful, and our server took extra care of a special needs guest we had with us.2/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFun revisit. Pricey but yummy.Fun revisit. Pricey but yummy. These were among the BEST I've ever had.Get extra bread for dunking in the sauce! For the Main, I had a special:a split Filet Mignon stuffed with Lobster. Very good, perhaps a bit more rare, but very good. Richard had the Duck A L'Orange. This was very good, but he's had better. for Desserts Richard had the Apple Tarte Tatin..this was good but he's had/made much better. I had the Pain Perdu..Kind of an exotic fench toast, but my God!! Was it outstanding. Really recommend this, it's really worth it.Overall a very good meal & worth the price. Highly recommend the place.1/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
