For the price, there's no better food than Aquitaine. I've been to more expensive restaurants and the food has never compared. Service is fabulous. Food is absolutely delicious.

We were lost on our way from out of town. So we called to let them know we would be a little late for our reservation. As luck would have it, we arrived exactly on time for our reservation but because we called, our table had been given away. We were fine as it was our fault but the manager was very concerned, so he served us champagne and little cheese pastries while we waited. In addition, the restaurant paid for our appetizers as well, despite us telling them that we were fine. I had the oeuf en cocotte (which was like heaven in a jar) and my wife had a salad, which was excellent. For main course, we had Steak Frites and Arctic Char. Again, outstanding. Our waiter was very attentive and the wine (Chateau Greysac) was perfect.

I loved the whole atmosphere of this place. We were greeted by an amazingly friendly Maitre D' and transported into an authentic feeling French world. Our waitress was wonderful and we loved everything we ordered - from the mussels, to the steak frites, to the lobster. I'll definitely be returning to this gem of a restaurant.

Everything was excellent--food, the attentiveness of the server, and ambiance. I have only one reservation. When I left th restaurant, I noticed that there was a lower-price three-course prix-fixe menu that I could have taken atvantage of at the time I had dinner. But I had not been offered the firx fixe menu, so I didn't know I could take advantage of it. I called the restaurant afterwards to ask why I hadn't been offered this reduced rate and was told that it was only offered if the customer asked. This is a terrific restaurant, but this policy makes me think twice about returning.

The food at Aquitaine never disappoints. I felt a bit like a second class citizen in regard to the table at which we were seated however(there were other open booths and tables, but it seemed there was an implicit hierarchy that prevented us from being seated at them). Should my open table status help in thsi regard? The server was terrific.

My wife and I have been to Aquitane several times over the past few years and always enjoy it. We were there on a Sunday evening recently and had a wonderful meal. Great food, attentive service, reasonable prices for what you get. Still great!
