"I live in Washington, DC and this is my second visit to Aquavit in NYC. Both times the food and the staff were amazing. The gravlax is some of the best I have ever tasted and the presentation this visit and multiple courses of Amuse-Bouche were all fabulous."

"The food was in every course too salty. The sweetbread, which I was so lucky to find on the menu, totally charred , the three pieces looked like charcoal and tasted like this as well. Our waiter had no experience what so ever, but pretended to be the chef himself.

I will never come back, nor will my guest"

"The food and service was outstanding. So many chef pre appetizers and desserts Seemed to go on and on and each one was better than the next. This compares to my meal at Daniels but better priced. I would definately recommend."

"Very diaappointing compared with the original Aquavit. Much more limited selections restricted to two overly expensive tasting menus. Too many meat dishes, none of the previous Norwegian seafood originality. Some dishes were only fair."

"The food and service were excellent, though pricey.For such a high-end restaurant, the noise level was bad - it was difficult at times for us to carry on a conversation. We remember the old Acquavit -with its offerings of flights of various acquavits. This restaurant could use some touches of Sweden. it is a great estaurnat, but there are many very similar to it today"

"First time here since the renovation. Food was as good as ever, but maybe a mandatory 4 course menu is a bit too much food for some diners. I will miss the cafe area, but the bar was bustling and may be a good place for those times I simply want a plate of herring and a splash of aquavit."
