brunch with a viewWe were seated in a nice semi-private back room, still with floor to ceiling views of the river. This was especially nice as we were celebrating my 30th birthday and had a group of 10 people! Although I'm pregnant and couldn't partake myself, my guests loved the bloody mary & mimosa bar. The food was good... I enjoyed the fresh scones brought to the table while we were waiting for our meal.
Our server was very accomodating, pleasant, and efficient although it appeared she had a large number of tables as her responsiblity so at times we were waiting on drinks, etc. I hear Aquariva has a good happy hour so I can't wait to go back to try it.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMfabulous ambienceWe took our daughter to Aquariva for a celebration and were delighted. Service was great and scenery fabulous. The food was hot and well prepared. Great dining spot for Portland visitors like us!!!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFood is Delish! We had a reservation, but arrived very early with the desire to sit outside on the deck and enjoy the view. We were allowed to grab a table outside and spent two glorious hours enjoying the ambiance, sipping wine and people watching before the rest of our dinner party arrived. The service was outstanding, the food divine. Do not hesitate to spend a happy hour or meal here!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMdon't forget dessert!fantastic dessert menu. We ordered everything on the menu and loved all of it!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMBest riverside settingOne of the better restaurants in Portland with superb food great wine selection and one with by far the best setting/location right alongside the Willamette River. We have been here many times and we live in San Francisco. Highly recommended.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had an amazing experienceWe had an amazing experience and look forward to returning4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was very fresh andThe food was very fresh and healthful. Everyone felt it was the best they had ever had! The patio dining was great!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe visited this restaurantWe visited this restaurant with a Sharing Spree Voucher I had purchased. It is common knowledge in Portland now that sharing spree is not living up to their contracts. Auariva honored the voucher for it's face value which I understand. The waitress was excellent throughout!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMI'll be moving to SW waterfrontI'll be moving to SW waterfront in a month and this will become our new Happy Hour spot.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was a pleasant experience. It was a pleasant experience. The food was good, our table next to the window looking out at the river was great, and noise level was quiet so we could have a normal conversation. Both the bet salad and the raspberry salads were fresh and tasty. The roasted chicken was done perfectly. It was tender and juicy inside while the skin was nice and crispy. The rack of lamb was very tasty with the tomato pesto. Prices were reasonable for what we were getting. Overall, we were happy with our meal and experience and would definitely return again to try some of the other dishes.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat view, good foodGreat view of the Willamette river. Food is very good and not overly expensive. It is a "fancy restaurant" so prices reflect this. We had crab, avocado and cheese omelettes that was chock full of good fresh Dungeness crab for only $15. Had flat breads with carmelized onions and cheese at happy hour recently. It was delicious. And I must repeat the view is spectacular.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had not been here sinceWe had not been here since it was the Rusty Pelican. Parking still is an issue. Kara our server was great. She was friendly, very knowledgeable of the menu and wine/beer list and attentive and gracious to every table she served. We split a number of items to be able to have room for dessert. The portions were small but delicious. Home made pheasant pasta was superb. The pork tenderloin was excellent. Kara suggested the triple chocolate cake and it was a great choice. We definitely will go back once we figure out where to park!3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe restaurant was under-staffedThe restaurant was under-staffed for the number of diners. Otherwise, the service rating would have been much higher.3/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe pasta dishes are spectacular! The pasta dishes are spectacular! Wine list has a heavy, albeit, expensive focus on Pacific Northwest labels. Apart from the ugly velvet curtains used to close off parts of the dining room, the atmosphere and decor are great.12/30/2012 12:00:00 AM
