Diner Reviews
  • "Beautiful Restaurant, but kids are too noisy and allowed to run around. The service was extremely slow and our server didn't check on us often enough. Food was just so so for the price. We told them we were celebrating a birthday on our reservation and in person, but nothing special happened."

  • "This was my first time to the Aquarium and I was very pleased. Our waiter was were informed on how the food would be prepared. The aquarium was amazing and if that was not enough, there was a live mermaid show while we ate. What a surprise. The mermaids interacted with the children from inside the tanks. The food was very high quality I had steak and shrimp that was just divine. This is a Must Go for anyone heading to Denver."

  • "A great place for lunch or dinner! The kids especially enjoy being able to look at the fish while waiting for food to arrive."

  • "The waitress forgot to put our order in. Once it was in it still took forever to get. The food is way overpriced for what you get."

  • "We went here on a weeknight that was promoted as being family friendly with free validated parking and mermaid shows running every 1/2 hour from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. We were given a table right in front of the aquarium so that my kids could have a great view of the mermaids. The kids loved it. The only drawback to our seats was when people would send their kids up to our table area so they could see the show better. This was o.k. at first but started to become annoying when they crowded our baby in her high chair. The food was o.k. but nothing spectacular, it was more about the atmosphere. They did have a decent kids menu. We went to the aquarium (at a discounted price because we were dinner guests) afterwards and the kids had a ball."

  • "We have eaten at the Denver Aquarium many times and it's always fun. This time it wasn't crowded but we made a reservation anyway. It's great they take reservations and I recommend it if you don't want to wait a long time which can happen during busy times. (School breaks) The service was great and the salad I had was good. Kid liked the Chicken Parmesan and pasta. Best part is floor to ceiling fish tank views. Lots to watch. Especially liked the HUGE Grouper fish who watched us eat."

  • "We visited the aquarium then had dinner at the restaurant with our 3 rambunctious girls (9yo, 3yo, 2yo). There was an entire wall of aquarium with large fish, a large eel. At the end of dinner we even saw a mermaid show! Our waitress was fast, helpful & efficient. We all enjoyed our appetizer, dinners & desserts. We even tried a few specialty drinks kids and adult versions. Overall, a perfect evening on vacation for our family."

  • "Beautiful restaurant "under the sea" - great food, great service, and beautiful mermaids! Kids loved it."

  • "Food was good, service was great & the mermaid show was the highlight of the day for our grandkids. Our table was right next to the aquarium so we had a close up view of all the fish swimming right past our table. They loved it! Our server was excellent, even telling the kids that if they had questions about the fish to be sure to ask him, which they did! He was happy to answer & seemed to know a LOT about fish. I really didn't expect the kids to eat much, being so excited & with the fish to watch, but they loved their lunch & didn't want to leave. We had kid's fish sticks, kid's mac & cheese plus chicken parm, 2 orders of fish & chips & the veggie burger. Next time I would skip the appetizer so I could order dessert. They looked great!"

  • "I really enjoy going to the aquarium and enjoying lunch with the fish! We love Rich as our server he is outstanding and takes great care of all our needs!"

  • "Everyone in our group of 9 enjoyed the food, service, and fish tanks. The chef came out to speak with me about the preparation of my dish because I mentioned I have a shellfish allergy. The restaurant even held our doggie bags while we went into the aquarium"

  • "The food was good after we got it. They had some computer issues per the waiter who disappeared often for very obvious smoke breaks. Not our first time here and wont be our last. Good place for our young kids."

  • "We took our kids to the restaurant and they loved sitting right next to the tank. It kept them entertained during lunch. The food was also exceptional, and reasonably priced for lunch! Definitely would go there again!"

  • "We enjoyed the aquarium so much I had made reservations and it still seemed we had to wait a very long time before being seated.... The food was really good.. I did not like the fact that while sitting there trying to eat other people's children kept bumping my family's chairs to see the aquarium there were kids running up and down chasing the fish. At one point my three year old was bumped to the point of falling out of her chair."

  • "Food is excellent, I have been there a hand full of times and the food is always good. Service is great. Even when busy the waitresses are very proactive and courteous. The water tank displaying so many species right while you are eating does add an amazing touch to your dinnig experience and will keep everybody and specially your children mesmerized through the experience. And if you happen to catch the mermaids show while in there that will make your visit even more magical again specially for the kids but as a big kid you will like it also. And that is just part of the ambience as none of that comes with a price you only pay for the great food... can't beat it."

  • "Really had a great lunch. The ambience is awesome. Lot's of fun and the food was really good. We also had a great server. She was very knowledgeable not only about the menu but of all the species in the tank. The prices were good. This is a great place to take the family. Not very quiet and filled with lots of kids, so probably not a great place to have a romantic dinner."

  • "Eugene our waiter was nice! But, then it went down hill from there. We had a table of 5 celebrating a 72 b-day. Wrong drink served. everyone's food came out correct but mine. Ordered the broiled fisherman's plate and got the fried plate. Mom ordered Rib Eye and lobster tail. Steak was fatty and hard to cut. Lobster tail was 2 bites. We told our waiter & Mgr. In the meantime, I waited 15 minutes when my meal came out. It was great, but I didn't eat same time with friends. Mom got another lobster tail which was excellent. Mgr came out and apologized and offered one free dessert for compensation. Not enough--not for all that has happened. She took off 10%, but by then, all we wanted to do was leave."

  • "I would not eat here for a meal again. There was only one gluten free item on their menu. Only one! And it had multiple seafood items that I did not like. They said they could do a gluten free meal. But to them that means plain and unseasoned. The salmon was very good. However, they served it with plain white rice and green beans. No seasonings whatsoever! For the food received, it was greatly overpriced. They did, however, have a gluten free dessert. It was a flourless chocolate cake. Surprised that they could make that, but had no idea how to prepare the main meal."

  • "I have 29 grandchildren, so it will take me awhile, but I hope to take most of them to lunch at the aquarium. This trip I had a 3 year old, a 7 year old and a 15 year old, who all had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed themselves, although the view of the fish was more of a hit than the food for them. Lunch was delicious - exceeded expectations."

  • "We spent the day at the Aquarium, so it was an obvious choice for dinner. It was our 34th anniversary, so we had made reservations for 6:30. We ended up eating at 5, so we told them we were early. It was no problem, but they apparently did not cancel our reservation, so it looked as if we had not shown up. But the food was good and the service, too. We had hoped there would be something special for our anniversary, but there wasn't. There were lots of kids running around unsupervised."

  • "Nothing special really, just another overpriced chain offering the same stuff that everywhere else seems to be offering but at nearly double the price."

  • "Three of us having dinner while attending a conference were thoroughly enchanted by this restaurant. We initially intended spending an hour but wound up spending three hours watching the fish, eating and drinking. Get a table next to the acquarium you prefer. This is a must do restaurant in Denver. The service was impecable, the food was good and the atmosphere fantastic. I will be back."

  • "I wasn't expecting much, but the food was quite good. I had the shrimp platter, and was blown away by it. The bacon-wrapped, cheese and pepper stuffed shrimp were decadent. My girlfriend had the grilled shrimp, and loved that as well. It was fun to watch the tanks while eating, although we felt a little guilty to be eating seafood while watching seafood frolic. Ha. Not that guilty."

  • "I was on vacation in downtown denver. We have friends who live 1.5 hours away, so they decided to meet us at the aquarium restaurant for dinner. My husband and I first toured the aquarium. We had an amazing time and made lots of memories. We finished at 6:30 and our reservations were for 7:00. I saw a wait so I figured we better let them know now that we are here. I told the host and she said what time were your reservations? I told her 7:00. She then said well you will get seated closer to your reservation time so you have to wait. I said okay and we proceeded to the lounge to get a drink. AT 7:00, i had to give my name again and then I was placed on a wait list. We were not seated til 7:30. Thats worse than a dr's office!!!! Why reserve?"

  • "We love eating at the Aquarium, especially sitting in the "Water Room." The tank is within 8 feet of your table in the "Water Room." My family spends hours just watching while dining before we even go into the aquarium."

  • "Food was cold an greasy. The saving grace was the aquarium."

  • "I had a very good experience at the Aquarium restaurant. The food is a bit over-priced, but I'm assuming you're paying for the view (the huge fish tanks and mermaid show), which made it worth it. The food was good enough to please my husband, and the setting made my kids happy."

Being from Montana we don't have any place like this around. We will definitely go again when we are back in town."

The service was awesome and the staff is so knowledgeable about what is in the tanks and the the Aquarium. They are able to answer questions and get you excited about all the things there are to do there! Will go back time and time again!"
