Aqua Star at The Westin Savannah Golf Resort & SpaAlways fabulous!When I first tried Aqua Star it was as a matter of convenience -- it was the closest spot on hand -- but I have had pretty mediocre experiences with hotel restaurants in the past so my expectations were low. What a surprise! I dine out quite a bit in nice restaurants for work and this is in my top 5 overall, and is tied for my favorite spot in Savannah. Everything I have had there over the course of a half dozen visits has been outstanding. The service is professional and efficient. The view of the water is lovely. The environment is soothing. It was the absolute best brunch we have ever had. There are so many options to select from including salads, fresh fruit, an omelet station, seafood, the best grits ever and a dessert area that is to die for. I would highly recommend. It is located in a beautiful Westin Hotel on the water. The gardens are terrific. We also enjoyed the jazz music while we ate our brunch. The food was amazingly delicious. Awesome variety, the carving station, pasta station, omelette station & dessert stations we all just perfect. The hotel is beautiful, the service was courteous & highly professional. We went down about 7:30 p.m for dinner Not sure if it was too late. Some of the food items on the buffet were gone and were not being replinished quickly enough. We had to wait for them to being items out. The Dessert buffet had 3 items on it when I went up to get dessert. I do not think the dessert was replinished at all and if so, very sparingly I am assuming because of the time. I was greatly surprise because I have heard great reviews about the Aqua Stat Seafood Buffet but it does not even come close in comparison the seafood buffet at Westin Hilton Head Resort3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMSunday buffet brunch is excellent.Sunday buffet brunch is excellent. High quality food plus a fine selection of gourmet type items including smoked oysters and mussels, fresh oysters and shrimp, , several types of salmon, salads, cheeses, 3 main entree selections, blintzes, usual eggs and pancakes, desserts including bananas Foster and various custom made pastries. Free champaign starting at 12;30pm.
We usually have brunch here several times per year. We loved the view while we ate, the decor was very nice, breakfast buffet a good value as it includes beverages and the piano player at dinner was very nice.
