Diner Reviews
  • "An overall wonderful experience from the ambiance to the service! I couldn't give 5 stars because I thought the filet mignon left a little to be desired in the overall flavor, but it was cooked perfectly, beautifully presented, and the seafood dishes were incredible. The lobster bisque was amazing - a must try. Service was top notch and we were presented with an extensive wine list that had something for everyone. I will absolutely visit Aquaknox in the future."

  • "6 in our group for a birthday celebration. All 6 had fish and said theirs were absolutely fantastic! Staff was perfectly attentive. They made the Birthday girl feel super special. We all loved it and will go back the next time we are in Vegas. This is the second time I've been here with a couple of years in between and had the same great experience."

  • "Fireworks of tastes and dishes. Service was excellent as well. Presentation superb. Highly recommend."

  • "We can not say how great this dinner was. Service was incredible and the food was exceptionally fresh. Rather than hiding the quality under heavy sauces, the freshness of the seafood stood by itself aided with inventive accompaniments resting under the fish. I never imagined black eyed peas with lobster bits, but it was perfect. Everyone raves about the lobster bisque and they are right. Intense flavor without being overpowered by heavy cream. Don't overlook the steaks - TERRIFIC! The manager spent time talking with us and even brought us a sample of the scallops to try. SUBLIME! Since we don't eat deserts, they brought us a complimentary tray with two cookies and amazing chai tea with happy anniversary written in chocolate on the plate."

  • "Went with a large group. Food and service were both excellent. Seafood platters were outstanding and our servers were all great, Miller was the only name I remember."

  • "We were disappointed throughout the meal. The wine markup is absurd: wine by the glass priced more than the price of a bottle retail. Amuse bouche of salmon tartare was fishy. Oysters ok but mignonette watery and indifferent. Scallops improperly prepared, hidden under greens. Most interesting was a black bean, okra & lobster succotash, advertised as a side but was an appetizer. The specials included king crab legs, which shockingly were $80 - no information or caution in advance. Shouldn't have to ask the price of a special in a good restaurant. This is Las Vegas, where money is king. I guess Aquaknox doesn't have to care with tourists and conventioneers. It shows. AND, no evidence of sustainability in the menu, as is advertised."

  • "Overall it was a very good dinner. I think it was a little over priced for the amount of food you receive. I understand the whole small plate theme, but for those prices, I shouldn't leave hungry? We had Show Tickets to Rock of Ages and wanted to make a night of it. I wouldn't go back because of the prices, not because of the quality- it was very good."

  • "Aquaknox has been on my list of places to try for some time now and I"m really glad we finally made the time to enjoy all they have to offer. The lobster bisque is a must, as is the Take 5 desert, and the halibut special was outstanding. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "Fabulous food. Very attentive but not intrusive service. The crab legs were outstanding! The bisque to die for , and the scallops were the best I have ever eaten. Pricey but worth every penny. Will be back."

  • "Had dinner for two with my son. Service spotty, lots of gab up front just had to look around for a while whenever we needed something. The halibut special wasn't, just OK, a little overcooked. My son had the fish served whole ( can't recall the specific fish ) and said it was great. Had Ahi tuna app, very good if a bit too spicy, and crab legs to start which were nothing special. Dinner was $300+ for the two of us with a $70 bottle of wine. Wasn't worth it. Lots of other choices in the Venetian and obviously in Vegas."

  • "AMAZING food, and very knowledgable wait staff. The bar service was a little haphazard and some drinks (spirits) very overpriced. But the food was SO good, that it didn't matter. Worth every penny (for the food)."

  • "Second time eating here and I was very impressed both times. The plateau for two is outstanding and an entire meal in of itself. The service was great with a very attentive staff. I will continue to eat here in my future visits whether I stay at the Venetian or not."

  • "Enjoyed a romantic dinner at Aquaknox as part of a Vegas getaway. Booths are very romantic and private, attentive, but not intrusive service. Had the king crab leg appetizer special, perfectly cooked and nice spicy cocktail sauce. Halibut special was great too. Excellent place to take a special date. Be prepared, tab was > $300 for two with a nice bottle of wine, but feel like it was well worth it."

  • "Loved the small booths which afforded privacy and a quieter atmosphere in a very busy restaurant. Chef presented a beautiful low sodium offering of sea bass and vegetables for my husband. I very much enjoyed the perfectly cooked scallops and the flavors of the charred green beans, citrus sauce and vegetable puree. Our waiter was most attentive to our needs without being intrusive. A most memorable evening."

  • "Each had the special that night...very tasty...service was great...maybe too many freebies (appetizer and dessert) since we had 2 appetizers already and split dessert. Lobster dinner was huge and perfectly cooked. ..yummy all the way around. Definitely going back soon!"

  • "I dined here with a few friends during the March 2014 restaurant week and did the wine pairing, which I recommend. I had the Spicy Salt & Pepper Shrimp appetizer, the Zaatar Spiced Albacore Tuna, and the AquaKnox Rootbeer Float. Dessert was my least favorite, though I had some of the a friend's Lemon Tart and that was better. The rootbeer was good but the basil ice cream was a bit overpowering. The shrimp was my favorite dish, and the tuna was a close second. For fine seafood dining this place is a good choice. It's not quite Rick Moonen @ Mandalay or Joe's @ Caesars but it's worth a try."

  • "For three courses, sommelier poured two glasses of wine carefully to not over pour more than 1/3 of what is should be. It was like $25 wine tasting, not paring. He was very quiet and quick. We had the impression of him did not wanted to waste any of his time to guests did not buy a bottle of wine. They served additional course to show appreciation. It creates a course without wine. The dish was salty, so we had to go the bar to buy additional glass of wine. Next door night club started music during our main course, and it was very loud. Over all food was either too salty or sweet. This restaurant tries so hard to give customer good impression by giving unnecessary free food, but not by providing services customers expect for what they paid."

  • "Food was average minus for a restaurant of this class. Nothing was bad, but nothing stood out. The decor is dated. Smoke drifted in from the casino--that is why I downrate the "overall" rating to "poor"."

  • "My wife and I had a great meal here on Friday night. We had the table right next to the concourse. It was a little noisy, especially when the show let out , but the people watching made up for it. Food was fantastic. We had the crab cake appetizer, my wife had the sea bass special and I had the filet. We were so full we skipped dessert. Service was excellent as all the staff were friendly and knowledgable. I'd definite recommend this place."

  • "nice restaurant, high price. All the seafood items for our party of 8 were cooked perfectly. One person had the filet and it too was off the charts, better than most steakhouses in Vegas. Nice apps. This exceeded my expectations."

  • "I have been to Aquaknox several times over the years when I attended trade shows in Las Vegas. As usual, the food was fantastic, service felt personal (special thanks to Jesse), and the suggested wine was superb (Venge Scout’s Honor 2012). Salmon melted in my mouth. The shrimp and grits appetizer should really be an entree as it is so large (also so good!). Our group shared a banana cream "pie" dessert...not really a pie but quite a presentation. It came with Guinness ice cream (yes, Guinness) that was unexpectedly great. Only downside was the bar noise, which seemed louder than usual and made conversation challenging. But, it is Vegas, so one should expect loud, right? Our group really enjoyed it, and I think you will too!"

  • "Came to this restaurant based on it's reviews to begin my birthday celebration weekend. It lived up to the reviews. A little hard to find, but that's the nature of being in a huge casino hotel. The staff was very attentive and the food was excellent. That said be prepared for the bill, a bit salty. We forgot to ask what the market price was for the items we ordered, shame on us and we were a bit shocked at the total bill. That said I still would go back, it was a memorable meal and a great way to start off the weekend."

  • "Lots of good things to say about this restaurant, The service started great and stayed that way. The lobster bisque was delicious, as was the butter lettuce and herb salad. But the sea bass (special) and the barramundi were both amongst the best we've ever had! Really a great experience - I'd highly recommend it!"

  • "Aquaknox was great. I took my wife here for her birthday. We had a slight mix up with our table but management quickly resolved the issue. You are usually assigned 2 waiters to your table and everyone is quite knowledgable of the menu and drink menu. My favorite feature in this restaurant is their Absinthe Table. They have the traditional setup with Water Tower, proper Glassware and a variety of options. Andrew did an amazing job creating my St. George Absinthe cocktail."

  • "So many restaurants to choose when in Las Vegas. The reason I chose Aquaknox is because we were going to the show at the Venetian right afterwards. Plus, because we had Italian Food for lunch, I thought seafood would be good for a lighter dinner. My hubby and I split the peruvian seabass and filet mignon. Both so good!!!! Our appetizer was the steak tartare. Next time I would go just for the steak tartare and a glass of wine. But only because there are so many restaurants to eat at that I don't want to eat at the same place. However, for a snack, steak tartare and wine, yum yum! Our server was very informative and his partner was attentive. Everything positive about this restaurant!"
