Aqua GrillAlways reliableThis is a very popular restaurant located just a few hundred yards from the famous TPC Sawgrass golf course. Atmosphere is casual, relaxed, and unpretentious. Service is prompt and reliable. Seafood is the speciality but there are beef, pork and poultry entrees that are all well-executed. The wine list is more than adequate but not massive...the better to keep inventory (and prices) very reasonable. There are several original takes on various seafood items such as 'Crispy Red Snapper Bangkok', 'Shrimp Parmesan', and fresh catch offered in any of four different and unique styles. This is not a place that tries to impress with location, view or decor. It's all about the food and they do it very well. Locals love it. We started with drinks in the bar, which was packed with regulars; always a good sign. We were then seated on the patio by the fresh herb gardens. The view of the lake and fountain was really nice. Our server, Scotty, took excellent care of us and anticipated our every need in a quiet, unassuming way. The staff all had smiles and a very positive attitude. We were very impressed when their manager came to our table and saw that she was personally checking on every table. I can see why they have been in business for 25 years. The decor was updated and ambiance very pleasant in the dining room. We can't wait to come back to Ponte Vedra so we can dine at Aqua Grill again.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMBeyond my expectationsWe just moved to the area and had many folks recommend Aqua Grill. The menu was pages of delicious choices. We loved the fried green tomato and oysters rockefeller apps. House salad and bread were included, but we upgraded to the Caesar for a minimal up charge. One of the best Caesar dressings I've tasted! I had a Triggerfish special, which was a large portion of melt in your mouth goodness, and my husband had the filet special which was very tender. The whole staff was warm and welcoming from the hostess to the manager that came by our table to check on us. We really liked their newly re-done interior with a soothing and very current color palette inside. This will definitely be a restaurant we frequent. I travel extensively and have tried more restaurants than I can remember but few impress me like Aqua. The staff and managers genuinely care about their customers' dining experience. If there is ever anything you don't like, just tell them and they'll make it right.. I have never left Aqua Grill feeling disappointed, but I do always leave with a leftover box because the portions are very generous. Their food is a value, the presentation fantastic and everything is fresh. The energy in there is friendly and welcoming. Order a couple of drinks one being the Ponte Vedra Tini, wow that was good. Hostess came an got us and offered to transfer check to our table. The server Ashley who said was fairly new and just started a month ago greeted, I always get nervous when new server wait on me, however this girl was unbelievable, you could tell she was doing this a while, very knowledgeable on menu , presented beautifully. I had pistachio Redfish and my wife the Mahi Rizzo. The owner, Cary Hart, stopped by to see how we were doing which was a nice touch. It was my Aunt's first
time at Aqua Grill and she she had such a great experience that she wants to go back soon.
