Diner Reviews
  • "The Crab cake my wife had was great and the hamburger I had was outstanding but the french fries were cold and tasteless. The tasted lake they had been setting around for a long time."

  • "The ambiance and decor are amazing. And our server Jesus was a gem. I enjoyed the brunch buffet, though I wish there had been pancakes or waffles. That being said, there were very very few options for the two vegan members of our party. The meal that was specially prepared for them--their only option--was so-so and pretty pricey. There should be more vegetarian/vegan options as part of the brunch buffet spread."

  • "My group was very disappointed that the restaurant no longer offered Sunday brunch with unlimited mimosas; there is simply a buffet with an additional cost for EACH mimosa. I will be looking for another Sunday brunch spot."

  • "We had guests from out of town staying at the Marriott Waterfront in from Florida for our son to propose to their daughter. This dinner was a meet and greet for the parents. It was casual enough and special enough for the first meeting of the parents. We enjoyed the food and the water view from the dining room. Would go there again."

  • "The Marriott has done a great job updating this restaurant/bar space. The menu is full of tempting options and we enjoyed our meal. In early April they still seem to be ironing out some kinks but it is worth a visit. The pork shank was delightful, big enough to share. We also liked the roasted beet salad. Congratulations on a great facelift."

  • "Has potential. Probably needs a few months of break in time."

  • "We dined here on a Saturday night...we had a fairly early reservation in order to see a movie. We enjoyed the menu and the food, but the restaurant was EMPTY. Such a large space and noone was there. I think we would have enjoyed kicking off our evening in a more lively place."

  • "The food was fair, most of it was hit or miss. Often the food lacked taste and flavor. The Chef's plating was very creative."

  • "Best Hotel Food in a Major Hotel, service great; brunch is fantastic. Lunch and dinner OK."

  • "I was a little disappointed with Grille 700. The food wasn't seasoned well; however, the staff was nice."

  • "I am an admitted regular at the Sunday brunch. My husband and I took his mother for Mother’s Day (thank goodness for the mimosas) and she LOVED IT! The food is always great and abundant, but the special menu they had that Sunday was AWESOME!!!"

  • "The food was alright, but I thought it was overpriced for the quality. Since I was staying at the hotel and it was rather chilly outside, it was convenient, but I don't think I would go out of my way to eat here for dinner. Their brunch, though, was pretty good, but still a bit overpriced."

  • "Great location and scenic view on the waterfront of the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. The interior of the restaurant was spacious, but not really an intimate setting. Service was a bit slow due to apparent under-staffing."

  • "So this is in a non-luxury hotel but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. When I walked in I did not expect to enjoy my meal, and I absolutely did! The service was great, the food was great... but I had trouble shaking the image of people eating continental breakfasts in the same space earlier in the day. I didn't mind though... the service made up for it."

  • "Not a great experience, but not a terrible one either. Went for brunch and had a nice time - food was great, but some of the fruit was past its prime. Buffet selection was impressive. Hostess cancelled our reservation instead of marking it seated, creating a situation where I needed to ensure my OpenTable account was credited points properly, but all was fixed promptly by the OpenTable staff. Experience was nice, but it's not a "must see" restaurant."

  • "As we walked into Grille 700 we noticed that it was quite empty. We did not take that as a bad sign and decided to sit down. The waiter was very friendly, however, after waiting 30minutes for our appetizer to arrive we became frustrated. When the appetizers did arrive (it was restaurant week) the soup has a thick film overtop as if it has been sitting for a while. Once I found the manager to discuss our lack of service it then took him another five minutes to go "see what was the deal." By the time he came back we packed up our bags and left enough money for our drinks. We will NEVER go back."

  • "We went to Grill 700 for pre-concert dinner during the Baltimore Restaurant Week. Pre-fix menue selections were very decent. food was very good, and service was quick and personable. As we went before concert, I had to leave my doggy bag at the restaurant (could bear to part with the huge and very good crabcake) and then retrieve it around 11 pm. My box was lables, refrigerated and waiting for me when I cam back and staff was very nice and accomodating. My only complain is parking costs: it is $8 for the restaurant patrons but the time limit is only 3 hours... We were 1 hour over the limit and were charged full night price, $24... Kind of steep price, even for downtown parking..."

  • "Grille 700 was OK, but not one of my favorites. With all the other restaurants in the area, I would probably make this a luncheon stop. I must admit you get plenty to eat. And if you have the opportunity to sit by a window (as we did) the scenery is really nice."

  • "I really enjoyed myself there. The atmosphere was perfect forall people, families with little kids or for the romantic couple looking for a nice night out. It was an excellent dining experience. The food was great and the service was outstanding. I would love to go back there again and again."

  • "You never know what to expect with a Hotel Restaurant. Grill 700 was seriously excellent. The food was delicious. I ordered the filet. It was grilled perfectly and extremely tender. My friend ordered Crab Cakes. They were two baseball sized all lump cakes and they were delicious! Loved the corn and crab chowder. Our waiter was prompt and friendly. The chef brought our dinners to us. The maitre'd came over to check on us and was very gracious. I can't say enought about it. AND we live in Baltimore and weren't staying at the hotel, we just chose to dine there and are so happy we did!"

  • "Service people were highly trained. Although dinner hour was not busy at all (we were of 3 people in the restaurant), we waited all too long for our food. Great breakfast though."
    Dined on 6/19/2008
  • "Very nicely decorated large dining area and capable and polite staff. Food prepared to perfection and wine list is 7 of 10. Go early in teh evening and you may have the dining room to yourself."

  • "The service was great. Our waitress read our minds as to when to come to the table."

  • "I have dined here before and the food is good, nothing outstanding. Our server was attentive to our party of five. My problem on this particular evening was the lack of attention to detail in properly recording my open table reservation. It was recorded as a "no show" and of course I had to do the extra work to assure it was properly recorded as "honored". Other than this issue, I would probably dine here again if I could not secure a reservation elsewhere on a Saturday night, as was the case with this particular reservation."

  • "We were surprised to be the only table in the entire restaurant on a Saturday night, but the food and service were both very good."

  • "Very nice dinner. Staff was attentive, though they missed the note I sent with my OpenTable reservation. I would recommend it."

  • "I booked reservations through open table at 11am for Grille 700 on Easter Sunday. There was a mistake with the online reservations because Grille 700 only served the Easter Buffet at 12:30 and 3:30pm. We never received a call or email explaining the mistake. We arrived at 11am for our reservations and at that time we were informed of the mistake and had to wait an hour and a half for the buffet. It was very inconvenient especially on a holiday. Also, there were no diaper changing tables in the restrooms so I was given a room key to a room on the 17th so I could change my son's diaper."

  • "There was an error in our reservations and we had a table for the breakfast not the brunch. When we explained the situation to the manager, Nick, he was very understanding and accommondating. Even though they were booked, he made room for us at the 12:30 seating. It was great customer service - something you don't see much of these days."
