  • "The food was good but not outstanding. Our server was really nice but service was painfully slow. We had time to finish our bottle of wine before we got the main..."

  • "We went on a quiet night so restaurant not busy but could see that this place would be buzzing with conversations otherwise. We had the tasting menu with each imaginative course exquisitely & meticulously prepared and presented. The tastes and textures were wonderful and delightful, a successful blend of food as art and flavours. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommended."

  • "Very interesting flavour combinations. I had an asparagus gazpacho with a touch of passion fruit yogurt in the center which was amazing! It was a touch expensive, but when you take into consideration that it's a "bring your own", the prices are fair. Very friendly and knowledgeable waiters."

  • "My wide and I were there on October 3. We chose the tasting menu, and were rewarded with delicate flavours and textures. The chef and his wife, who waited on us, came and chatted with us at the end of the meal. Very impressed with their talent and determination. We are considering hosting a family event at the restaurant - the space is very welcoming. Would go back in a flash. Merci beaucoup."

  • "We got surprised from entrees to dessert with the degustation menu. Usually, BYOW restaurants have substandards in terms of quality and are a little overpriced (thinking of les Héritiers, Tandem, etc. with generic french bistro food lacking creativity). Not only were the items new (half molecular, half terroir cuisine - which felt pretty awesome), but the portions were sizeable, fresh, and creative. The BYOW is just icing on the cake as you can really pick your budget from the lower entry 3 courses (35$ to the full blown 9 course degustation menu (90$) + your wine which is, of course, entirely under your control. We definitely will return as it is 10 minutes walk from home, but would make the detour any day."

  • "The food is okay and expensive for what you get. Service is not good! I wanted to change my main meal cause it was not good at all and the Chef came to our table, he was super upset, he was arguing with me about the fact that I don't like his creation and said that he needed to charge me an extra to change my plate. He was extra condescending and was telling that me everyone likes his food...however, the restaurant was almost empty on a Saturday night!!! No wonder why...."

  • "OMG this restaurant is a Must!! We went at the 400 coups a couple of weeks ago and were so disapointed. The Apollo surpassed our expecations!!"

  • "Expensive ingredients do not equal great food. Everything was "fine" but the cost was a bit much for the quality. Plate presentation is nice, however. The decor looked unfinished and the waiters were in sneakers. Cool at Denny's; not cool when dropping $70 on a meal."

We made the reservation for two for brunch. When we got there the cook told us that the brunch was canceled due to too much work the night before! I even wrote them an email saying I was not pleased about the whole thing in a polite way and they did not even answer! So for me it's over. If you are looking for good service, look elsewhere."

  • "Excellent. Essayé le menu dégustation. Apporter votre vin ... Bring your own wine."

  • "I'm a fan of Giovanni Apollo so I'm sad of having to say his Bistro is disapointing. The decor, service and wine concept are fantastic. Price point is moderate which is good. All wines are sold at SAQ price + 10$. They departed from their original concept and now offer a tapas menu. Although the selection looks very interesting, the rendering is less than desirable. All plates we ordered were served cold or lukewarm. Also, the speed at which they were served gives the strong impression that everything is prepared in advance and they simply reheat on order. I would really suggest that a chef supervise what's going on in the kitchen because there is an obvious lack of quality check."

  • "The tapas concept lets us explore many options... while the bill remains at a reasonable level. The only downside: tiny desserts! I will definitely visit this restaurant again."

  • "I did not care for the food, flavours were blan and missing a punch portion are very small even for tapas The foire gras taster menu was expensive and not worth the price"

  • "Very good high standard food.

  • "Very quiet for a saturday night, food was good but not much - expensive fo what it is, except for the wine. A nice wine list at reasonable prices. The place is beautiful but empty..."

Excellent"
