"Everything we had was superb. The bread was served with a light, fluffy ricotta and a fresh-tasting tomato sauce. The mushroom and polenta appetizer was rich without being heavy, and the octopus salad was bright and refreshing. My husband had the pasta with limp crabmeat, which was light and full of crab. I had the open ravioli with butternut squash, which was to die for. the squash was perfectly spiced with cloves, the cheese filling was silky, and the sage butter sauce was decadent. this was one of the best meals we ever ate."

"Remains a place I will come back to several times per year. One of my favorite restaurants in all of NYC. Excellent (albeit very filling meals). Food is rich with flavor. I have tried all but 3 of the entrees and have enjoyed each and every one. Go here. You'll enjoy it. Only drawback is location in Lower East Side. Would go more often if it wasnt a trek to get there, but worth the trip every couple of months."
