Apex at Montage Deer ValleyNot to be missed.....The Apex is our first dinner out when we arrive in Park City. We have never been disappointed with the food, drink or service. The only comment I have, and this is true for all the upscale restaurants in Park City and Deer Valley, is that I'd like to see a more varied menu. We visit the area several times a year as we own a second home in Park City. We are very familiar with the menus and it seems there is little "off the menu" choices.
That said, I recommend Apex to anyone. On top of that, the food was fantastic. A unique, spicy rendition of tuna tartare was an excellent appetizer. Our waitress was attentive and even the busboys and runners checked on us several time to see if we needed anything. It was not too crowded as I've experienced before so that was actually nice. My Cobb salad was the most unusual presentation I have seen, with two large slices of Romaine atop the usual Cobb ingredients. It was delicious. My husband's steak sandwich was delicious. They have an extensive prix fixed buffet lunch that looked outstanding but we weren't interested in eating that much. The service was leisurely but efficient. The wines by the glass were priced quite high. If I visited for dinner I would prefer to sit in the more formal dining area. We enjoyed our lunch here and would visit again.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AM
