Antonio's - Maitland - UpstairsCozy AniversaryI brought my wife to Antonio's Upstairs to celebrate our Silver Aniversary. It could not have suited the occasion better for us. The food was suburb -- well prepared and delicious. When our waiter found out what the occasion was, the restaurant gave us a delicious desert. It was our first time at Antonio's, but it will certainly not be the last. The wait staff is knowledgable and perfectly attentive . In addition the food is authentic and outstanding and the prices were very reasonable for lunch. I loved the fact they mentioned our one year anniversary multiple times we felt special. Each of us ordered a different entre and we were all thrilled with our choices. My chicken masalas was the best I have ever had. Others had the short ribs, the pasta with chicken, and chicken stuffed with spinach and sun dried tomatoes.

I across the street from Antonio's and could actually toss a small stone and hit my home from there. We were very pleased with attentive service and the fresh, delicious food. We had field greens instead of the house salad and it was a wonderful fresh start. My wife had the salmon, and I had the Chicken Marsala. Both were excellent (yes, I tried some of hers). Great flavor. Wqit staff was efficient but not obtrusive, did not try to rush us.
Food was excellently prepared and presented, all dishes were very tasty and of adequate quantity.
We spent 2+ hours enjoying ambiance, wine, appetizers, dinner, dessert, and after dinner drinks.
Price was moderate, cheap considering entire experience.

We had the special veal shank osso bucco on a saffron risotto and a seafood ravioli and shared each. The seafood was 4+ stars but the osso bucco was way beyond that...nectar of the gods! Although full, we shared a delicious dessert of a rich chocolate ice cream ball with a zabaglione center, rolled in cocoa with a raspberry sauce. Although busy, Roberto's service was impeccable. Atmosphere is upscale and romantic but friendly, not stuffy with a lovely view of the trees and lake.
