There are 2 sides for seating. At the entrance which is the bar side, the feeling is more vibrant casual and energetic. The larger room on the other side offers more ambiance, with a working fireplace which lends itself to a more adult high end restaurant feeling. A more romantic and relaxed even business type of clientele would enjoy this area more. Either side is Kid-friendly but a child or more casually dressed adult might feel more relaxed on the bar side. It's NEVER hit or miss with the food, which is always in the years we've enjoyed Antonio's, delightfully delicious.
The staff is well chosen, clean, efficient, handsome and kind. This means a lot to me.

Antonio's continues to be THE place to eat in Taos! The food is authentic Mexican with a flare. The atmosphere and wait staff is friendly and relaxed. Even with a full restaurant and lots of families, our service was fast and excellent. Bartender and waitress were very relaxed and friendly!

Antonio's is a great Mexican restaurant but beware when making reservations. We made reservations for a large group and were surprised when we arrived to be put in a corner of the bar and not in the old adobe house part of the restaurant. There were plenty of large groups so that was not the problem. I am not sure it was a presumption on their part since we made an Open Table reservation? The food was great and the wait staff were very good---but we were very disappointed to have to make a stink about the table seating.
