A word from Antonette's Classico
We serve the most delicious Classic Italian dishes. BUT, our "hidden" gem in this exquisitely elegant and intimate restaurant are the SICILIAN dishes you remember so vividly each time you went to Nonni's house. Nick Cobi, General Manager, will tell you about them upon your visit. Nick also prepares many "Specials" tableside. All of our dishes are made fresh. Enjoy the atmosphere and your guests as your meal is being prepared especially for you. The aromas that waif across the Dining Room will make your mouth water with anticipation! We know you will enjoy every morsel and will be back for many years to come.

Dine with us once, and you've joined our family for life!

My wife and I were simply looking for a nice place for a late lunch in the Rockville Center area and chose Antonette's. On arrival we were ushered to the perfect table in the corner, and were then treated like nobility. I have never had better service. I almost believed that they mistook us for famous food critics which we are not. We then were treated to food that rates among the best. We will definitely return.

As you walk into the restaurant, you are greeted immediately by Nick, who is not only gracious but he makes you feel as if you were in his home. The decor and atmosphere is very romantic. The eggplant tapenade is to die for, they should bottle it and sell it for the public to enjoy. Our entire meal was outstanding and we will recommend Antoinettes Classico to all of our friends.

What you get on the outside is not on the inside. With all the fashionable Italian decor and waiters in vests and ties, what can I say except too bad the food didn't do as well. When a chef in an Italian restaurant thinks he can call a sauce "Chestnut" and simply open a can of sliced Chinese water chestnuts and pour it over a thin brown broth is incredible to me. This dish they called" Cuccinetto", a word no where to be found in the culinary world, was a disaster. Chicken Piccatta had absolutely no flavor. The manager tried to accomodate and offered another dish, but who wants to go for strike three. A weak kitchen, waiters who address all guests as "guys" and locals who think the place is great...to each his own.

Coming from a meeting at Molloy College with a friend, I wanted a nearby restaurant for a quality lunch. I'm so glad we found Antonette's! We split the Vongolette in Brodo. The clams were tender and the wine/garlic sauce so luscious we had to soak it up with the warm crusty bread! My guest selected Shrimp Francese. Since I had not had shrimp that way in many years, I decided to do the same. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, not over-done as so many places do, and again the sauce was delectable ... a perfectly balanced silky blend of wine, broth, lemon and just the right amount of butter. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We loved it and can't wait to get back!!

We visited on a Saturday evening and were welcomed by the staff as if we were regular customers. The dining room is very nicely decorated in a traditional motif. The manager Nick was extremely friendly and accommodating and offered each of us a complimentary glass of wine. We proceeded to have a delicious meal which for myself included a plate of delectable mussels and an amazing Italian seafood combination in a savory red sauce. My wife ordered filet of sole which was also excellent. The service was very attentive and the prices reasonable. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be back when we are in the area. I can only hope that more people catch on to the quality of this restaurant, but I wouldn't mind keeping it our little secret.
