The Latin Quarter at CityWalk Universal is a staple. It is quieter than most restaurants and CityWalk. Indeed, it is an island of calm in the chaos. The staff is accomplished and energetic. The kitchen is knowledgeable. Enjoyable for a special occasion or a romantic date night.

They were ready for us holding our reservation and seated us immediately. However, the server was slow and did not greet us until we asked for help and people around us who came after us had ordered. The food was delicious and the chef Jennifer came out if the kitchen to prepare and serve our table side guacamole. We had no more problems with the service and the Classic Lime Juice Margarita I had was one of the best ever. We will go back. One note on seating... They seated us and others out of sight of the awesome guitarist there, and because he was on break we didn't realize he would be playing. No one was seated in sight of the stage! Strange approach to a late night spot with live music...

The restaurant was not busy at all when we went for dinner. Our waiter was annentive and informative and kept our glasses filled. The garlic butter was great. The queso fundito was a good size for the price and very good. The pork dish came woth three large pork loin cuts on potatoes and beans, all parts were fantastic and went well together and the pork was a perfect medium. The steak was also well cooked and great tasting. The live music was also a great addition.

The restaurant is well located and accessible by the water shuttle and pathways in Citywalk. I chose to order from menu (not churrasco) and enjoyed live music while waiting for the food to arrive. Given the positive ratings in Open Table and other review sites, I looked forward to a nice meal. The black bean soup was a nice starter. I followed it with the Pork Loin, a highlighted specialty dish. Unfortunately, I found the meal bland. The meat had little flavor, as did the beans mango mash sides. The plate seemed unfinished, lacking in color or vegetable garnish. The service was friendly and ambiance nice. Perhaps this would be a more positive dining experience if better dishes were selected.

We went to Latin Quarter with a group of seven adults. Drinks & food were excellent & the atmosphere was fun & eclectic. The only negative was that it took about an hour for our food to arrive, but we were having so much fun we almost didn't notice. Would definitely go back!

We had dinner at Latin Quarter's main restaurant (not the churrascarria (sp?) during a family vacation in Orlando. We had a party of 7 including a 4 year old and a 6 month old. We were seated in a great booth and were treated great. The menu was impressive both for its appetizers and entrees. Nice selection of beef, pork, and seafood (salmon, sea bass, mahi-mahi, shrimp more) prepared in creative ways. Great fajitas and more traditional latin fare as well. My grandson had the chicken tenders from the kids' menu and they were great. (I've samples a lot of chicken tenders travelling with a 4 year old and these were adult-quality, whatever that means). Best choice at City Walk for great food at decent price. Next time I'll do the churrascarria

Not much real atmosphere before the bar scene begins. The food was good but the service was horrid! We are good tippers (almost never leave less than 20%) since both of our children worked their way through school as servers, but we really came close to leaving nothing. It was not busy at all -- our server only had two tables.

The four cheese chicken pasta was really good. My parents and my sister had the fajitas and as a whole they were good, however the beef by itself did not have much flavor to it. We ordered 2 appetizers and they were both excellent. Our server was also excellent.

Award winning? I think not. The food was average at best, service decidedly uncommittal and the ambiance akin to that found at a train station. Management seriously needs to look at the acoustics inside the restaurant. Would not go again - there are far far better places in Orlando to eat out

I was so disappointed after this meal. I spent hours referencing between the magical dining list and reviews making sure my last meal was a great one and it was a complete bust. The place was empty. The salad bar was sad. The mashed potatoes had a skin from sitting out so long as did the soup, the salad was soggy and the cheese bread was stale. There were maybe 3 or 4 serves all sitting in the back talking to each other and yet we still had to wait for the meats. I'm used to flipping the card to green and being slammed with choices.. this was not the case. I've eaten at several Brazilian steakhouse, and all of the ones in Orlando and this was the worst by far. I wont be back.

The Latin Quarter was very accomodating for our group. We had a large group (16) out celebrating a bachelorette party and the staff at Latin Quarter handled the commotion and chaos with ease. The waiter was outstanding and so friendly and patient. I know how difficult it can be to keep everything straight (much less have 16 people pay seperately) and the entire time the staff remained very nice. Thank you Latin Quarter for accommodating us and showing us great patience! We appreciate it!

Great Latin fusion ensemble with a lovely atmosphere and an open kitchen. Upstairs you have the choice of the Churrascaria, all you can eat fine meats. We never leave here unpleased. On weekend nights, they close for club night and still offer a full menu along with salsa and merengue spun by world class Dj's.

Service was not good at all. Our waiter was even training that night. My husband and I are not the type to complain but our experience there definitely keep us away. Waiter forgot about our appetizer. Never checked on our soup/salad until we were done. Forgot about our hotsauce. Then to top it off, offered us to see the dessert tray then made us wait 20 minutes before coming back to tell us they had to remake it. Finally gave us the dessert menu instead then forgot about us for another 15 minutes. We finally asked the hostess as she was walking by to get our check because we are waiting too long. Waited another 6 minutes before server came by to give us our check. He noticed we were annoyed at this point and still never apologized. Poor!

The appetizers and entrees were average. My margarita was watered down. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked them to remake it and it tasted the same. I did not finish my margarita. Service was prompt. Dessert was good. Given it was a Friday night I expected live music (as advertised on their website). Average overall.

Carne Frita-this dish was fried pork. The pork was tough & tasteless. Skewered chicken over rice. The chicken was not tender and it lacked flavor. The rice was okay. Carribean shrimp- this dish was over power by cheese. My daughter usually enjoys eating shrimp but this she could not finish. Paella de Latin Quarter- this dish was the best with flavor. The only negative was the seafood. The shrimp was good, not many clams and mussels. When I order seafood paella I expect plenty of seafood. The homemade sauces were good. The appetizers ordered were nachos and fried squid. The nachos were good. The fried squid was too tough and chewy.

The entire experience was outstanding. Design, decor and especially the performance stage evoked Mexican/Aztec influences. Traditional Cuban Mojitos were prepared just right. Appetizer of homemade Mariquitas was unique, accompanied with a delicious cilantro-based dipping marinade. Main courses of Arroz con Pollo and Marinated Beef and Chicken skewers served over a bed of rice were delicious and very satisfying, ample portions. Definitely outshines all the more "trendy' spots at City Walk....a true gem!!
