Diner Reviews
  • "Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We had 3 children with our party of 7 and they loved their dishes. We are foodies, as are they, but enjoyed the Flavours of the Latin dishes. Nice choice."

  • "We traveled out of our general area to visit Antigua. We like the variety of Latin American cuisine."

  • "We had reservations at 6pm and as usual like to sit at the bar for our first drink but no chairs at the bar and it was quite small - nice for a quiet, good meal - nothing special but a latin place to try - not bad - maybe depends on what you order"

  • "We had eaten there a year ago on Mother's Day and the food was marvelous. This year, they had a buffet and wouldn't let us order off the menu. They had four kinds of shredded meat, rice, potatoes, black beans and store bought cookies for dessert. When the bill came I almost lost it $29.95 per person! I will give them one more chance with their regular menu, but will not go back for a so-called "Holiday" buffet!"

  • "Antigua was a great find! Food was an outstanding example of South American/Spanish food. It was delicious! Service was superb and courteous. Glassware and silverware was sparkling clean. We look forward to returning."

  • "We had a group of 8 looking for a new place to dine...picking Antigua was a home run! Everyone loved their food, the drinks were outstanding, and the service could not have been any better. Even the most fussiest of customers would agree! We were pleasantly surprised when the bill came and will definitely be back for more. Thank you, "

  • "Arrived a little early so was happily seated at the bar while waiting for our table. Thoroughly enjoyed the blackberry/raspberry sangria that I had ordered. Sat down at our table and enjoyed wonderful food and great service."

  • "The atmosphere is colorful and cozy with energetic music and laughter filling the air! It is a great place to meet up with a few friends or share a playfully romantic dinner. The food is outstanding and I highly recommend the Sun Dried Tomato & Roasted Pumpkin Seed Guacamole, Ceviche, Mole Poblano, and Steak Ranchero! A glass of one of their three refreshingly fruity Sangrias is a must! ¡Salud!"

  • "Not impressed with food! One table to watch and our waiter ignored us. Had to ask two times to have waters refilled and never asked if we wanted another drink. Food was just okay. Might try when it's not Sunday "brunch" time. Very limited menu at 1:00 in the afternoon... Arrive on Sundays after 2:00, you might have better food and service!! Quiet place because no one was there...we should have known better when we got there and only one other table with customers."

  • "Love this place and look forward to dining here again. I went along with my date and ordered Paella (seafood). We celebrated Valentine's Day. The meal was delicious. For dessert we had a chocolate raspberry mousse. Yum. Prices are reasonable and ambiance is perfect for a small group or couple."

  • "I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The drinks were OK. The bacon wrapped shrimp was phenomenal. The cream chicken was the perfect mix of spicy and tasty."

  • "The food and service is fantastic. I would highly recommend checking out this restaurant."

  • "The menu combines extraordinary dishes from several Latin American cultures. The management has taken care to bring the Latin flavor to the décor and quality is evident in every detail. Touches like fresh flowers (in winter) and table linens make this a colorful and tasteful escape from the gray city. I enjoyed the empanditas and black bean soup with crunchy onions. The bread was very fresh, toasted perfectly on one side so it was both crunchy and soft, and served with an aioli that I would dearly love to have the recipe for!"

  • "Lots of menu choices and great service, just a little short on atmosphere as the dining area was rather brightly lit for dinner."

  • "This place offers good food and friendly waitstaff. The service is slow at times but worth it. The flan is yummy!"

  • "Not my 1st visit to Antigua, but, once again, an extremely satisfying experience. OUTSTANDING service, the kind I iike, where they keep an eye on you, but don't interfere or hand around. That service is what I've experienced, every time. The food? Terrific! This is not a low-cost-quick-taco hit. Instead, Antigua features "latin" food, with choices from Argentina, old Mayan recipes and great Spanish dishes. As for dessert, try anything. The flan is unlike any flan I've ever had; the cake fashioined to replecate the Mexican flag is to die for. GO! ENJOY!"

  • "I received a certificate for a birthday present and it was by far one of the best restaurants I have ever been to! The food was wonderfully delicious! I have been blessed to have been able to travel throughout Latin America, and I was so happy to get to taste pupusas and pisco again! If I lived closer, I would surely visit more often. I will however recommend this place to everyone I know in the area!"

  • "The complimentary house appetizer, thick bread with a garlic/olive oil/cilantro spread, was wonderful. Our waiter, Alejandro, was very attentive on an extremely busy night. We received our food quickly and everyone enjoyed their choices."

  • "I really enjoy the different dishes from different countries offered here. My wife and I have been here several times and try new dishes each time. All have been excellent. The last dish was a stuffed pepper with a walnut sauce and pomegranate seeds... wow! The chicken soup (I won't attempt it's name) is sincerely a MUST! The flan is really good, too. Parking lot is kinda tiny. Allow a little time; they're not trying to rush you out. Be adventurous and enjoy."

  • "Antiqua has the best mojitos. Our server was very friendly, but service was slow and the restaurant was not crowded. The enchiladas are very good, but they are spicy. The shrimp with garlic and wine was a bit bland."

  • "This place is very unique and has a great ambience for a date night out. It is smaller as would not recommend for children at all. My boyfriend and I went there for a nice dinner out and had a great time. Food is amazing! Definitely will be coming back."

  • "Overall enjoyable evening! The appetizer was spectacular. The service was great starting from the host, all the way through the end of the meal. We will definitely go back!"

  • "The place has a caribbean feel. I had the bacon-wrapped shrimp, which was good. Although it was supposed to have shrimp stuffed with cheese, I could not see or taste any cheese. The included salad had a dressing that had a funky dressing, so I only ate half of it. We ordered dessert. My friend had flan, which was good. I had a lemon tart, which was just okay. The service was great."

  • "Great Sangria, good wine, good meal, but nothing spectacular. We enjoyed the paella for two, but it was a little heavy on the rice and light on the fish. The flan that had "won awards" was more of a cheesecake, and not true egg custard flan."

  • "The one thing I have to say I enjoyed about Antigua was the Blackberry Raspberry Sangria. It honestly was the best Sangria I've ever had in my life. The bread we received was stale and the dip that came with it was bizarre. My husband expected something spicy and it had no spice whatsoever. I can't do spicy at all and I could eat it. I've wanted to try Antigua for quite a while as I've driven passed it a hundred times. I'm bummed that it wasn't better as I used my gift cheque on it and didn't leave super happy. It was quite busy and the host wasn't ready with our reservation. We were lucky someone had just left a small 2 person table as we were able to obtain it. I won't be returning."

  • "I've been to this restaurant on a number of occasions and never realized how spectacular the Happy Hour could be. ALL drinks are half off and selected appetizers also fit into this category. It's definitely worth a weekday trip."

  • "The service was fantastic. Our waitress was always available when we needed her. The food was delicious. I wanted to stay and keep trying the food but I was stuffed. We plan on going back in a few weeks! This place is off the beaten path but well worth it."

  • "The unique variety of tastes available on the menu is extraordinary. From creamed sauces to roasted meats, this restaurant has something for everyone who enjoys South American food. Some items were a bit salty, but overall, a real treat. Loved the wine and the wine prices!"

  • "Antigua offers a lively, interesting menu; regular offerings of 'special' cuisines; and great neighborhood ambiance. It's an off the beaten path gem - definitely worth seeking out. Prices are affordable; food is sensational -- and service is attentive (challenged only on a crowded Saturday night like the one we visited.) Totally recommended!"
