After 90 years of success in our country we decide to open this new venue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, to bring to US the experience of our cousine.
Menu is a twist on tradition, where classic roman dishes are reworked using local products, mainly organic.
We have a wide selection of dished suitable for vegetarian or vegan and also gluten free.

Diner Reviews
  • "This restaurant was very special... The hostess, bar tender, server made you feel very special. It is VERY hip and pretty. The food was outstanding.... try the carbonara and the almond dessert."

  • "It's not only my favorite Italian restaurant but it also happens to be two blocks from home. Great service and ambiance, awesome food and not as pricey as it could be."

  • "This was our second visit to Antica Pesa and it was disappointing. Our first experience was excellent but this one was not. Three out of four of us ordered pasta( 2 different ones) and both pastas were overly salted as was the main dish ordered by the fourth person. The salads were good as was the dessert but I would hesitate to recommend it now."

  • "A stylish and well appointed restaurant with modern décor and a real warmth to the place. The great disappointment was the food. Presentation was good but the tastes were bland or overwhelming with little or none of the delicacy in flavors required of good Italian food. The wine list is excellent but like the rest of the fare, over-priced for what is on offer."

  • "This restaurant is a rare find -- the owners are truly Roman, care greatly about the food and the experience, and work hard to make sure you get what you want. The pasta has that bite to it that I remember from Rome, and the flavors are deep and rich. The carbonara alone is worth it. Creative, unusual but genuine plates come out with consistent quality. Tables are a good size and spaced well, never rushed, some nice things on the wine list at the low end too. When the check came, I was pleasantly surprised that we'd eaten so well for moderate prices."

  • "We don't usually venture to Brooklyn but this was a great find. Service was 100%. Our waiter pick out everything and it was delicious. I would definitely go back. Don't always have to go to the city to find a gem"

  • "I can't say enough about our wonderful dinner at Antica Pesa, the American outpost of a family-owned and -run restaurant by the same name in the once working-class neighborhood of Trastevere in Rome. The restaurant is beautiful, the menu is sophisticated and inspired--there's nothing working-class about it or the menu--,the food is truly divine (fresh sardines, a lovely lasagna made with lamb, and quail and grilled Bronzino were among several superb items), there is a great wine selection, and the service is friendly, professional, and impeccable. Lorenzo Panella, whose great-grandfather opened the restaurant in Rome in 1922, has a gift for attending to the needs of all his guests and makes everyone feel welcome. We can't wait to go back!"

  • "After reading the hype on this place how A list celebrities all go there, I was let down. They have attentive service, but the meal was just OK"

  • "We went to the original restaurant in Italy and came here for our one year anniversary. We told the owner such..he made us feel so welcome, iintroduced us to the other owner, shared stories of his father, the original restaurant, etc and then sent over a complimentary dessert and wished is a happy anniversary. The food was exceptional!! A prefect evening!"

  • "We chose Anitca Pesa for a 60th birthday, and it was a night to remember. Lorenzo and his staff treated us like royalty and made it an incredibly special occasion. Food and wine were outstanding. Atmosphere was very energetic, which was perfect for our group. All in all, an amazing experience - we will return as soon as possible."

  • "Beautifully designed space, welcoming, excellent service, traditional Italian ingredients prepared originally and deliciously, excellent wine, fair prices. Our only reservation is that after 9pm the ambient music got so loud it was hard to have a conversation without straining one's voice. Definitely not for the hearing challenged or talking without leaning in. We would nonetheless highly recommend this spot."

  • "i have eaten dinner here twice and wish i could love it. the service is fantastic, the staff, including the managers and owner are so attentive it really enhances the experience. the restaurant is beautiful and i love their fireplace nook where you can have a drink before (or instead of) dinner. however, i have been extremely disappointed by the food on both occasions. i don't typically order pasta, so perhaps that is their specialty (and i did try a small portion of the cacio e pepe which was delicious), but the other dishes were very disappointing. i will definitely be back for a drink by the fire, but not to eat."

  • "Words cannot describe how amazing this restaurant is- from the service to food. The staff waited on us hand and foot- fully attentive throughout our experience. The food was top notch! Authentic Rome fare. And the passion from the staff was extraordinarily apparent. They made sure our dining was perfect. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go back! Nicole Bernan"

  • "This is by far one of the nicest Italian restaurants I have been to in a very long time. What really impressed me, besides the food of course, was the quality of service. It is uncommon to find such a great group of knowledgeable, courteous and professional staff Definetely a gem in Williamsburg"

  • "We had a reservation for 10.00pm and our table was 20 min late. (Pretty understandable because was saturday). I hoped in a redeeming with food, but pasta was awkward... cacio e pepe sauce should be creamy: grated pecorino cheese should be melted with spaghetti's cooking water. I received a plate full of unmelted cheese "stones"."

  • "Had an amazing experience when I went the first time last fall...great food, great service...super fun. Organized a birthday dinner and spoke to restaurant about the round table and was told yes...also mentioned the birthday...when I arrived we were given another table with a view of the bathroom hall. some of the food was good but the char was "fishy" tasting...and not good. when the desserts came there wasn't even a candle in it. Maybe I should have been more militant calling that day to go over everything, but I trusted the restaurant would have taken care of it after our initial conversation. Everyone one else had a great time....but it wasn't as special as I know it should have been."

  • "We were 30 minutes late to our Valentine's Day reservation and was worried the restaurant would be annoyed but they still managed to treat my girlfriend and I like royalty. Our waiter asked us if we had any preferences or allergies, and after learning we loved to eat everything, surprised us for every dish; it was amazing! The food, service, and ambiance were all outstanding. Definitely a place we plan on going to again in the near future."

  • "I've eaten at Antica multiple times and it never disappoints! My only complaint on my most recent visit was that they rushed the meal. Two appetizers and two pasta entrees...in and out in 45 minutes on a Saturday night. For the money, I'd like to enjoy my delightful dishes a bit longer."

  • "My dining experience at Antica Pesa was wonderful. I went with my husband on a Saturday night to celebrate his birthday and to have a night out alone. I would definitely go back and recommend it to friends. The service was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The food was delicious. What more could you ask for?"

The ambiance is so inviting and cozy. A dining experience like this is extremely rare. If you are looking for an amazing night, definitely go here. We will absolutely be back frequently and be taking our friends with us!"

  • "We arrived on time for our 10pm reservation but ended up having to wait 20mins for a table. No problem, my boyfriend mentioned it to the owner/manager and we were seated within 5 minutes. They were extremely apologetic and gave us champagne and dessert on the house. Loved how they handled the situation and the food was delicious."

  • "Came to Brooklyn for brewery, but dissapointed in the crowd. Looking to save the night , we found availability at Antica Pesa. Staff a little pretentious, but menu great. Fast kitchen. Waiter attempted to pump up bill with every recommendation. Suggested we try another wine, but he had not even tried the recommendation! Went with our choices and they were stellar: cuttle fish appetizer, lamb ragu pasta, chard fish special, cigar dessert."

  • "I don't know what true Italian food from Italy tastes like, but I'm guessing Antica Pesa does a pretty good job anyway. There were quite a couple of big groups there on a Saturday evening. The place is dim, but has a great high ceiling and set up of seats, which some may find it to be too close if you're a two table topper in the middle. The servers were excellent and tried to make you feel like you're a part of family. Menu wise, my table didn't try any pasta but entrees of the pork tenderloin and rabbit were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. I would definitely be back to try some other things on their menu!"
