While staying at the fabulous M Resort for a locals stay-cation, we decided to treat ourselves to some fine dining. Right of the bat, the staff accommodated and treated us right, from our hostess who allowed us to change our reservations, to the barman at the oyster bar who greeted us warmly as we came out of the elevator and especially to the wait staff who were very attentive and timed our courses perfectly! The food was great, especially the oysters I ordered. Never had sweet and clean tasting oysters ever than the ones I've had the pleasure of having at Anthony's! Dave took really good care of us throughout the meal without constantly interrupting our conversations. We were able to easily carry on a conversation across the table. It's not very easy to please my finicky husband but I was very relaxed and happy to see him enjoying the atmosphere and the food, drinks, etc. He loved your boullabaise(sp?) - not salty, fresh seafood, big chunk of lobsters,et al. I was very pleased with my bone-in rib eys.
I asked it to be just pink all over and that's what i got. the French onion soup was delicious. Very few restaurants use Gourier cheese in their French soup and I was
surprised to see that you did. And it was served crispy!!. My husband enjoyed the
wedged salad with fresh whire anchovies. It was delicious!

TheThe service was great. The special of Elk meat was cooked perfectly and we really enjoyed it. Do stay away from the scallops that were under cooked with no taste to them. The menu stated that there was sweet pea puree and crispy smoked bacon with the scallops. The puree was great but there was so little of it there was only enough to help a 1/4 of the taste of the scallops. As to the crispy smoked bacon which is a misleading statement because it should say a couple of crispy/hard smoked bacon crumbs.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
