I usually like this spot a lot. On Saturday, it was very busy as expected. One of my food orders came out cold, and I sent it back. The waitress was very good about it, and I know that happens from time to time. Our waitress was a bit slow on checking back. Who knows I may have wanted another cocktail, but food was the order of the day. All in, I was not unhappy, I usually get a bit better service at most of the Anthony's I go to.

Lovely view. Server was excellent. Place is a little dated. Food was good but thought it was odd that Steak/Crab-cake combo did not come with anything but green beans. Labor day weekend so Kirkland was quiet..as was the restaurant post 9pm.

This was our 2nd visit to Anthony's Homeport and we were pleased with the food, service and lovely view of Lake Washington. We brought out of town guests who wanted fresh seafood. We each ordered a different entree, and everyone loved their selection. We had the Silver White Salmon cooked on an alder plank, very good with the smoky flavor infused in the fish without overcoming it's flavor; fried Wallapa Bay Oysters, a generous serving of lightly breaded, crispy oysters; Panko breaded Dungeness crab legs, sautéed and served in a delicious, creamy Gruyere sauce; and roasted garlic prawns with garlicky butter - the prawns were very tasty, but slightly overcooked. Sides were fresh green beans, creamy mashed potatoes & Basmati rice, wine & beer.

  • Not worth the price

The server seemed somewhat sarcastic. The food was okay, but definitely not worth the price. The rice was underdone. The waiter said the salmon came wih rice pilaf, returned and said it was actually mashed potatoes, and then served the rice. This was after I said I'd rather have the potatoes. The tables were too close together. The server had a really hard time putting dishes on the table. It was impossible to get up once we were seated. They have a parking garage. The restaurant wasn't full but the garage was. We had to park several blocks away.

We were seated 1/2 hour after our reservation time as the restaurant was very busy. The service suffered due to the crowd. Most of the entrees were pretty good, but the breading on one of the fish dishes was so salty it was inedible. They offered another choice but everyone else at the table was already done eating so they took it off the bill.

Normally this restaurant is our favorite and we get the same waitress and are very happy going here. However, this last visit was a big disappointment. We had a male waiter who was very rigid and uncomfortable as a waiter. He didn't follow through with requests we made for more ice, drinks, etc. We had to ask to have the table's candle lit, the outdoor tiki torches to be lit (it got really dark before we saw them lit) and we had to constantly request that the table be cleared... a MAJOR disappointment when compared to past experience, especially because this time we brought guests.

Slow, inattentive service - We pre-warned we would have small child with us, so quick service important...However - 5:45 - Arrived at reservation time 6:05 - Finally seated 6:15 - Waitress took drink order and vanished 6:30 - drinks come and waitress takes entree order (had to skip starter since we've now been here nearly 45 mins) waitress vanishes again 6:55 - food arrives - It's just 'ok' - Mac'n'cheese from kids menu too grown-up for my 2.5 year old, she's bored, tired and hungry...wiatress vanishes again 7:30 - waitress reappears, we don't have time for dessert now. ask for check 7:50 - finally finish paying over 2 hours for a single course and one drink with a 2.5 year old. Very disappointed.

The dessert we had was a peach cobbler with ice cream on the side and it was outstanding. Having the ice cream on the side was the Waiter's idea and was great because it did not melt rapidly. The Waiter spoke highly of the Beefsteak Tomato appetizer but the tomatoes, except the yellow one were not ripe enough. The fish was good but not as good as I've had at other Anthony's.

a little disapointed that there was no shrimp in the "Shrimp Fettchenie". Everything else was good. We had special guests in town and didn't want to have anything to distract from the occasion. The drinks had been made and were left standing some place because the ice cubes were mostly melted and the drink tasted watered down.

    Dinner
    Dined on 7/7/2012
Food was fine. Speed of food arriving was good. Some problems however. Cocktail glasses were never cleared after the drinks were finished; they stayed on the table - empty - until we left. Bread and butter plates were not removed when dinner plates were taken, leaving them in the way when dessert was served. As we exited the dining room, there were many oyster shells on the carpet, obviously dropped off a plate that was cleared. This is unacceptable as a safety hazard but also VERY unappealing. Too bad. This is a nice restaurant but it failed in the above issues.

My wife and I just moved back to the Seattle area after a ten year exile to the East coast. For the most part, it has been great going back to our hold haunts. That's not always the case, unfortunately. We have such fond memories of Anthony's. It pains me to give them anything less than five stars, but it's important to say it like it is. Our two favorite dishes are no longer there. Dungeness crab is only served as part of some other dish, and not whole. The only way to order mahi-mahi is as part of a combo with coconut-shrimp, and if you try to order it, chances are they're out of mahi-mahi, anyhow. My wife tried halibut with the macadamia nut preparation and it wasn't very good. I've more to say, but no space to type it.

Great view of Lake Washington. Diners seem to come here for consistently well prepared, however uninspired, seafood. Our visit was for a birthday celebration and we had an excellent time. One person in our party had some food allergies and the staff were great at finding out how the fish and chip dish was prepared to ensure our friend didn't encounter any allergic reactions. When I made the reservation on open table I requested a window seat since we were celebrating a birthday and Anthony's was able to facilitate this request. You can't beat the view, but I think they use about a 2:1 butter to fish ratio. I ordered the Copper River sockeye, and I think there was more butter than fish on my plate. Why drown top-grade fresh salmon in butter?
