One visit to Anthony’s creative Italian cuisine & you will be hooked. As you walk into one of three beautifully redesigned dinning rooms, in a building that dates back to the 1930’s, you will smell the aromas of the freshest ingredients and spices, which are used to create the unique menu. This coupled with the warm earth tones & natural lighting from the oversized windows makes dining here a truly special experience. Outdoor café dinning when weather permits adds to the romantic ambience.
As you are escorted to your table you can’t help but notice the beautifully crafted temperature controlled oak wine cabinet which houses up to 200 bottles of wine. Since the restaurant is a BYOB, the owners wanted to provide customers with a place to store their favorite wines so they are readily available each time they visit. Anthony’s also offers the use of any of their dinning rooms for private events.

  • "Happen to be seeing play at the Ritz so found this place on Open Table and enjoyed thoroughly. I didn't realize it was a BYOB though. Wish I new in advance. The special 4 course for $35 was outstanding. My mother and I ordered different things to each try each others. The salad, appetizer and main course were all great. And it also came with a dessert sampler (plenty for 2 but they served one to each of us)! All was fantastic and they were very accommodating. Had us seated upstairs and due to my mother's legs were able to arrange for downstairs table. Also, since we were tight for time to get to play, each course was served immediately after we finished and all was hot and perfectly cook. I definitely want to go back!"

  • "We needed a place to have dinner before attending a concert at the Susquehanna Center. Found this on a general restaurant search for places on the way. The special offered farm to table 4 course sounded interesting and the other reviews were good. The restaurant was charming, small, but very inviting. There were 4 courses with multiple choices. We brought beer and wine and dinner was quickly ordered. All was brought in a timely manner and the presentation was very good. It was an upscale dining experience without the upscale price! We were all pleasantly surprised and only wish we lived closer as this would become a "go to" spot for all 4 of us! Thank you Anthony's!"

  • "Last minute reservation - got a table for four and what a great surprise! Food was excellent! Soup (crab & asparagus bisque) was some of the best I've ever tasted. Halibut was well cooked and a nice big piece upon veggies that were done perfectly. Seafood mixture upon fresh made fettuccine was delicious! Definitely going back. This time - leaving room for dessert."

  • "We had an outstanding dining experience here last Friday evening. We made a reservation through Anthony's website/OpenTable. When we arrived we were quickly seated. We had a bottle of wine, and the staff quickly brought us glasses. We had the fresh mozzarella and tomato salad to start. The ricotta gnocchi and barola braised short rib ragu were fantastic! We will definitely be back for dinner, and we'll try lunch too!"

  • "The fried calamari is amazing. We always order it for appetizer. The salad is very delicious too. I ordered poached pear salad with candied pecan, the dressing is perfect, not overpowering. The entree is also cooked in perfection, garnished with edible orchid. The service is outstanding, the waiter is very attentive and pleasant. Overall, it was a great dinner and definitely will come back."

  • "Over the past four or five years, we've been here for dinner at least half a dozen times, and each time we think, " Why don't we come here more often?" The food is deliciously prepared, the service is prompt and courteous, and the atmosphere relaxed and charming. Every time we've visited for dinner, Anthony has visited our table and those of the other diners to ensure that the meal is to our liking. On Friday night, I ordered the beef short ribs which were richly satisfying, my husband said the striped bass and scallops were succulent, and our daughter enjoyed the Scottish Salmon. The crab bisque here is so delicious, I'm tempted to lick the bowl!"

  • "This was my second visit to Anthony's Restaurant and again was not disappointed. It is a very quiet intimate atmosphere which is refreshing for a byob. I had a seafood dish witch was excellent. Even though it wasn't on the menu, a special chicken parm dish was made for my husband. It was also incredible. The chef, who is also the owner, introduces himself and makes sure all is well. A nice personal touch."

My version of Hot Chefs week was Arancini filled with tender short ribs served over a tomato sauce that made me want to ask for another spoonful & crusty bed, salad made with buttery Bibb lettuce, sweet strawberries, golden raisins & crisp almonds, perfectly cooked pinenut-crusted cod served with mashed Yukon's and haricot vert & a sweet finale of a dessert medley with a perfect cannoli filled the "real way" with a cream that included dried fruit, warm chocolate-banana bread pudding & a homemade salted caramel ice cream. My husband differed only by starting with a tuna martini followed by smoked shrimp served over asparagus and cherry tomatoes. Excellent service."

  • "We had a group of 8(including a small child) and discovered that the Restaurant week menu had an amazing amount of dishes to choose from. They even had a special menu for the youngest in the group! We enjoyed almost everything we chose. The only complaint was the 2nd course included a scaliop dish that was served raw, which wasn't mentioned on the menu and was not what we had expected. Overall the food was delicious, especially the first and the main courses. Service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive ."

  • "Made an 8:15 reservation on Valentine's night, didn't get sat until 8:45-8:50! There was no where to stand & wait comfortably because all of the 8pm reservations were not sat on time either, very narrow hallway! Once sat, didn't even greet us right away; the owner came over and opened our bottle of wine! The one good thing was that the courses were spread out nicely and Mussels and salads were very good! The entrees were OK, not terrible, but we would not order the same things again! My overall experience was OK, the waitress was my biggest problem! She said goodnight to one table near us when dropping the check, but not us! Anyway, I might go back, this was my first time dining there, just not on a Valentine's or a busy Holiday, etc."

  • "My husband and I went here for Valentine's Day. This was our first time dining here and likely our last. Our server NEVER checked back on us. We had to flag her down for drink refills and the check. We forewent dessert, because we did not want to wait for her to come back. The food runner also brought us (and a few other tables) the wrong food. The server seemed to be particularly ignoring us, as some of her tables that were sat after us received their food, dessert, and check before we did. The food was good, but overpriced. If I am spending $25+ on just an entree, I was at least decent service."

We found lengthy delays between courses and would attributed that to the business of the evening and can't wait to return on a night when the staff is under less pressure.
