Our server was great in giving suggestions. The menu keeps changing and we love this place. It is one of Andersonville's gems and a great restaurant. As crowded as it is the noise level still allows you to have good conversation without the need to shout at your guests to be heard. If you go soon, try the strawberry and spinach risotto, the stinging nettle tagliatelle, goat conserva and mushrooms cooked in parchment. Out of this world!!!. The menu was creative and the food was quite tasty. The service was professional and seemed to strike the right balance between paying attention to us and letting us alone to enjoy the meal. Perhaps the only "negative" part of the experience is that the restaurant is small and therefore very noisy. The patio is perfect, off the back of the restaurant, surrounded by plants with beautiful lighting. Every person in our group of ten loved there food. Only downside was that the service was slow. Had a great experience sharing the small plate sampler, spicy mussels and two half pasta selections. The bread, too, was freshly baked and out of this world. We didn't have room for dessert. Can't wait for another visit. The only thing that would make the experience better would be valet parking. It was originally suggested by the owners of a condo we were renting for a weekend. We live in Minneapolis and my daughter is going to school at Loyola. My fiance is Italian (Sicilian) and very picky about his Italian food. He absolutely loves this restaurant, as do I. If we had this restaurant in our neighborhood we would be there several times a week!
Love the grilled octopus and sardines. The pasta is to die for and the entrees are exquisite! Finally, the service is outstanding. We has the same waiter each time, and he is a pro!

The food was all delicious, we got to try lots of their dishes, and the wine pairing made it amazing. The person who served us was (we think) the owner or someone with quite an emotional investment in the place which was really wonderful. When the 19 month old child with us wanted more pasta, they brought out a bowl for her, they asked if we wanted butter or olive oil with it. It was so nice. We love it there. It's our favorite restaurant in Andersonville. Be prepared for lots of vibrant conversation though. And if someone at the table next to you has too much wine, the noise level can go up and up and up. Oh well, it's better than defening silence. Service is excellent. Ask for Chris as a waiter. He's great!!
