AnteprimaAmazing Food and Friendly ServiceI can't say enough about this place. Third visit and brought a foodie friend from out of town. Had a great experience sharing the small plate sampler, spicy mussels and two half pasta selections. The bread, too, was freshly baked and out of this world. We didn't have room for dessert. Can't wait for another visit. The only thing that would make the experience better would be valet parking. It was originally suggested by the owners of a condo we were renting for a weekend. We live in Minneapolis and my daughter is going to school at Loyola. My fiance is Italian (Sicilian) and very picky about his Italian food. He absolutely loves this restaurant, as do I. If we had this restaurant in our neighborhood we would be there several times a week!
Love the grilled octopus and sardines. The pasta is to die for and the entrees are exquisite! Finally, the service is outstanding. We has the same waiter each time, and he is a pro!

The food was all delicious, we got to try lots of their dishes, and the wine pairing made it amazing. The person who served us was (we think) the owner or someone with quite an emotional investment in the place which was really wonderful. When the 19 month old child with us wanted more pasta, they brought out a bowl for her, they asked if we wanted butter or olive oil with it. It was so nice. We love it there. It's our favorite restaurant in Andersonville. Be prepared for lots of vibrant conversation though. And if someone at the table next to you has too much wine, the noise level can go up and up and up. Oh well, it's better than defening silence. Service is excellent. Ask for Chris as a waiter. He's great!!

Because it was a weeknight, the smaller crowd made the noise more manageable than it often is on weekends and it's clear the restaurant has tried to deal with this problem with acoustical treatments.
