Our menu consists of locally grown vegetables and humanely raised animals. We hope our guests experience hospitality and southern ingredients at their finest.   • "My husband and I LOVE this restaurant. It's the "to go" venue for our celebrations as well as in between. We are made to feel welcomed and appreciated, the servers are the very best, ambiance is not stuffy but rather relaxing. The menu is not large which means QUALITY and not quantity. Quality it is. I had the lamb on raisin sauce with a buttermilk sauce ( nod to Southern tradition) and cauliflower with curry from the new Spring menu. Ron devoured the scallops in its light sauce. Rather than analyze, I wanted and did savor and enjoy since it was a celebration of our 49th anniversary. We were presented for dessert the most wonderful cherrywood ?ice cream dessert on waffle. WOW!!! Way to go, Nick, Allison and Peyton too! Thank you!"

  • "We dined at Antebellum for the first time Saturday for our anniversary. We were treated to champagne toast and a dessert for the occasion with great local food and friendly service in between. The fried green tomato appetizer was one of the best I have ever had, as you cant go wrong with hot sauce, bacon jam, and a fried egg. My wife loved the shrimp and grits, while I had the short rib. While the beef was outstanding, I think it's flavors was better suited for a fall dish. We finished with one of the most unique desserts I have ever tasted, cherry wood smoked ice cream. I had no idea it was possible to get such a rich, hot off the smoker flavor into ice cream. Living locally in Flowery Branch area, we will be back again soon."

  • "I can never say enough about the quality, the experience, the overall joy of dining at Antebellum. It always exceeds our expectations! Had the root beer braised beef short rib entree. It was beyond wonderful.!! Melt in your mouth goodness in every bite. It makes your mouth truly happy... Washed that down with The Prisoner, a Meritage that is super delicious. The restaurant always goes above and beyond in all aspects of being a restaurant. And, Vincent was his usual, always very helpful assistant. You don't know which wine to choose, he can give you a great recommendation - he's never failed us. You have to go there - you will become an instant fan!!!"

  • "Located north of Atlanta in Flowery Branch, this hidden gem of a country style restaurant was a diamond find. From the ambiance to the food, everything was perfect. I ordered the shrimp and grits, my date ordered the pork chop, and fried green tomatoes were had for an appetizer. The shrimp and grits were the best I've had (living in Georgia this is a staple meal). Perfectly seasoned and textured. The worst thing about this place, is that it is far from the main city (approx 45 minutes north), but it's worth it in every fashion."

  • "This was my 12 year old son's choice for his birthday dinner. The staff were great, all wishing him a happy birthday. The food was amazing. I think that the fried green tomato appetizer is the best thing I have ever eaten. We had 4 different entrees and argued about which was best. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone!"

  • "I had heard great things about Antebellum, so was excited to try the restaurant! It definitely lived up to what I as told. Great wine list, plus specialty drinks (will have to try one next time!), and the food was wonderful! I had the scallops, & my friend had the salmon, both were cooked perfectly. The homemade shortbead cookies they give you after dinner are yummy, too! Can't wait to go back!"

  • "Great service; seated timely. Appetizers at our table included the beer-cheese soup, the fried green tomatoes and the fried chicken dish. Everyone loved what they ordered. The bread served was thinly sliced cornbread (which I thought looked like pound cake) -- amazing!! My hubby ordered shrimp & grits & said it was outstanding. (Would have been perfect but the tails were left on the shrimp) Okay, just a little more work to eat:) I had a burger with pimento cheese on texas toast. It was incredible. We stayed around and talked at our table after our meal was finished and they didn't rush us out. We appreciated that. We live in Johns Creek so it was a drive, but well worth it!! Make reservations--very small restaurant."

  • "I grew up in Gainesville,Ga which is very close to Flowery Branch where Antebellum is located, I have lived in the Pacific NW for 35 years where food has become an art form. Never in my wildest dreams would I think a restaurant of Antebellum's caliber would arrive in the vicinity of my hometown! The food and service are excellent. Wine list was great. Only negative was the noise level, as it was a very busy Friday night, and lively conversations were abounding. However, it wasn't so distracting that I wouldn't return in a heartbeat for a FINE meal!! We will definitely be back whenever I'm in town."

  • "Having both a love of food and travel, I have done plenty of both, and am so happy to have Antebellum close to my home on the lake. Moving from the city I thought I would sacrifice fine dinning and then I found this gem in Flowery Branch. Make reservations ahead as many of the locals eat here regularly, and for good reason. I would put this up with any restaurant in Atlanta any day! Food and service are excellent, ask for Paul or Vincent, both are very knowledgable on the menu and wine list. Farm to table so menu changes but love the crab appitezer, the mushroom appitezer scallops and salmon for mains, as we don't eat meat, but our friends that do love the short ribs.. Love the cucumber citrus martini also! LOVE this place!!! :))"

  • "For the Valentine's Day dinner, we LOVED the beef tenderloin and carrot soup, although the portions were very small for both. The cheese course and crab course were good. However, the course that is usually great at restaurants was the worst for this meal - dessert. We don't like liqueur in desserts, and 3 out of 4 of the desserts had it (lime sorbet, chocolate sorbet, & bourbon truffles). We were very disappointed with the desserts, but had a good time. This was our first visit. We'll go back and try it when we can make our own selections from the menu rather than having a set menu."

Quite frankly the choices were not all ones that I would have picked if options were available but the chef obviously is very skilled and able to broaden my food horizons. It was a great! This is a relatively small place and although not cramped the noise level is a bit uncomfortable at times."

Well the service was horrible and they had a set menu for valentines day, nothing on the 6 course menu was even appetizing. Service was very poor the first thing the waiter said when he walked up to the table was are y'all ready for me to start bringing the good out? Not a thanks for joining us or happy valentines day. So $150.00 later plus tip it was a horrible evening on our First Married Valentines day! We eill not be going back or recommend."

  • "My wife and I love to stop by Antebellum on the weekend. Friday night was another great night at Antebellum. We don't like salmon, except for Antebellum. Neither of us would ever order salmon in any other restaurant. But, both of us had it this past Friday night. It is quickly becoming one of our favorites at Antebellum, but then I could say that about every dish there. That with the Erath Pinot Noir is a great taste combination. We'll be enjoying it many times. Following that we had Nicholas's latest dessert, poached pears which was spectacular. You have to go there and try it. But, go there enough times to try everything. You won't be disappointed."

  • "A "Buckhead" meal far from Buckhead. A truly great find out in the boonies. Fried green tomato appetizer was outstanding. Wife had the Salmon which was excellent. I had the short rib which was also great. They had a special on any wine up to $50 was half price, so got a nice Stuhlmuller chardonnay for about $20! If you live in Gwinnett or up I-85/985 and want a first class meal, you don't need to trek into Atlanta."

  • "This was our first time at Antebellum and we loved it. The fried green tomatoes were delicious and the pork was very tender and juicy. The menu is rather small but I find that the best restaurants have the smaller menus. The only drawback was our waiter was a bit awkward when we first started, He came to the table asked if we were doing ok and preceded to walk away. After five minutes or so he came back and took our drink order and appetizer order. Once the appetizer came out he began to warm up and was very informative on the dish options. The other drawback was that the hostess seemed a bit confused that we arrived a little early " 30 minutes". I would recommend this restaurant for the food and ambiance alone."
