A word from AnTalia
Established in 2010.

You could be sure to expect the best when you come to AnTalia, As the owners are a part of the daily operations. Service is being taken care of a manager who owns the restaurant, food is being deliciously prepared by a cook who also owns the restaurant. How can you go wrong?

AnTalia Restaurant serves authentic Turkish dishes in the midtown area. The pre-theater crowd loves there Prix-Fixe menu that serves 3 course meals for only 24.95. This lovely restaurant serves its guests in two floors. Second floor is a great way to have a private party or dine quietly.

  • "Busy night pre-New Years weekend, found the restaurant on Open Table and booked with short notice. We were not disappointed. Everything we tried was delicious. My sister declared the stuffed grape leaves the best she had ever had. Service was very attentive without being over-bearing. Overall, a great meal!"

  • "This is a great place to go before hitting a Broadway play. The service is fast and the food is good - and beats all the tourist traps in that area. Appetizers were good and the fish main courses were really well-cooked. I will definitely go back if I am in that neighborhood again."

  • "Pleasantly surprised to find this small, reasonably priced Turkish restaurant in tourist-trap midtown. Really good bread, great kebabs, very accommodating servers, lively lunch scene. We'll be back."

  • "Waiters were rude. They were taking our plates before we were done eating. Appetizers were good but main entrees were not."

  • "Solid Turkish restaurant. Food was slightly bland. Service was attentive. I wouldn't rave about it, but you can't go wrong."

  • "Don't get me wrong -- the food the good. But just good. I could recommend it to a friend who is in mid-town and craves Turkish food. But we've had better Turkish food elsewhere. There was not one dish that came close to being memorable. On the other hand, the value is excellent, especially for a theater-district place. Again the food was decent, the lentil soup served hot, the salads were fresh, the lamp and pureed eggplant dish was OK, though it lacked character or smokiness that I associate with this dish. We were there for an early dinner, before a 7pm curtain, and it was very empt. The decor is friendly, not fancy. So it gets an honest 3 starts -- Good, but nothing great."

  • "It is hard to find a reasonable lunch spot in this area, particularly one that isn't too loud or crowded. The food is good, service attentive, and a great option for a working lunch."

  • "What a dinner we had at this place. The food was prepared as if we were the only ones there-so decorated, so carefully cooked. The salmon kebab was phenomenol. Their mixed appetizer plate for 2 was also the star of the night. We will definitely return to this gem."

  • "The prixe fixe pre theater lunch at AnTalia was just one of the best buys around, very delicious, generous portions and attentive friendly service. Lots of interesting choices for those of us who don't eat meat or fowl, I'm going back and soon!"

  • "The service was good, the wait staff were very polite, and pleasant, this was my first time there, and I am sorry to say that I will not go back, as much as I liked the staff, really the food was Just ok, and is not worth the money."

  • "What a night to remember. My husband took me to this lovely restaurant. We ordered several cold appetizers and combination of grilled kebobs (mixed grill) and a bottle of wine. They had a great variety of wines from turkey and the mediterrenean. We got to meet the chef I a mean we just had to ! He told us he makes all his appetizers a few hours before opening time and almost nothing stays in the place over night. Which had to be the secret of this place because it was just so fresh as if you have just cooked at home to yourself. I just cant wait to go back and try out more dishes."

  • "I wish I liked this place more. The staff is warm and friendly, the prices are reasonable. But the food is just passable. THe smoked eggplant, for example, did not taste like it had ver been smoked. The zucchini pancakes were tasty but heavy. And so on. THe only thing we really liked were the cigars. And the ambience is pretty dreary. We were in Turkey for two weeks earlier this year, and believe me, this is not representative of good Turkish food."

  • "We have traveled to istanbul 3 years ago since then we have visited many Turkish restaurants in new york. But we have yet to find a treat like this. We decided to try AnTalia after reading the article on Daily News about them stating they were the most authentic turkish restaurant in nyc. Boy was i Surprised ! They were totally right on. They have probably have the most delicious gyro (doner) the salads were fresh cut to order which made a lot of sense in your mouth. The wine list included wines from Turkey which went absolutely well with our meals. The service was really helpful and friendly with not much interruptions. We will certainly be back."
