  • "I went there with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I did not know about this restaurant before, and just found it through Opentable because it was close to where I was. The restaurant was smaller than I expected, but the atmosphere was nice, more on the quiet side, fitting its location in the Park Hyatt. We were greeted and seated nicely, as you would expect from such restaurant. We did not order from the fixed menu, but decided to go a-la-carte. The food was surprisingly nicely done, and very well presented. Service was definitely a highlight for this place, as staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. My wife was quite impressed with the restaurant, and our anniversary well celebrated!"

The halibut was cooked to perfection and was probably the best such fish we've eaten in a long while. A wide choice of sides and sauces to accompany the fish really lets patrons customize their dining experience. We were delighted with the results. From start to finish, Annona promises to be a memorable evening in all the right ways."

I am a serious chef at home and so I am picky for the restaurant that I go to. Annona is one of my top lists."

  • "I went there with my friends for the winterlicious on that day. I was exciting to go there so badly and I recommend to my friends and I brought my friends for had a brunch. Unexpectedly, first appetizer that they bring, not carefully put it down on the table properly and one of my friends are still drinking the soup but without asking, they took away. It wasn't busy that time, and the waiter should remove the knife/folks a bit of the side quietly and put the dish down on the table nicely not put it down like make the noise as a cheap restaurant. They should retrain the service otherwise will get another bad comment like this. The food was good but service wasn't good let's say."

  • "Service started a little slowly - we were seated and then ignored for 5-10 minutes - maitre de was basically standing close by - wouldn't happen at Canoe. Once given menus the attention to detail and service levels were superb. Food was beautifully presented and of a high standard. portions were reasonable - all in all a very good experience. Beautiful understated elegant room exactly what one would expect in an older top Toronto hotel."

The exception was the after meal coffee. It tasted old and was extremely strong. I like my coffee strong but this was ridiculous."

  • "We've eaten brunch here several times over the past year. We always feel welcome each time we come. The food is consistently well-prepared. The brunch menu has a good range of selections that seem designed with the diner (and not the chef's virtuosity) in mind. The restaurant is comfortable and well-lit--a nice place to linger on a snowy day. Service is generally good, though on occasion it's been a bit hit-or-miss. The food is, generally speaking, reasonably priced (though $9 for sour orange juice is a bit much). That minor quibble aside, overall the restaurant has been designed to provide a feeling of comfortable luxury and consistently hits the mark."

  • "I came here for winterlicious 2014. I had the duck confit for my appetizer and really liked the crispiness of the duck. For my main, I had the seared bass which I did not enjoy very much. The fish portion was small in my opinion and it looked like it was hacked up when presented on the dish. I also did not care for the vegetables or sauce that fish was served with -- both were pretty bland. For dessert, I had the chocolate lava cake which was very rich but good. Overall, I enjoyed the service and ambience."

  • "We came for our reservation around 7:45, 6 of us. the services from our waiter start very slow , we wonder were he was, everyone was ready to order wine and then we had to ask someone else for ordering our food. Mind you it was very busy with Winterlicious crowd. After that our waiter was more attentive and aware of are table and make sure everyone was satisfy. They brought a Special dessert for my Husband b-day it was a very nice touch . We definetly go back and try the roof lounge this summer."
